His voice was a once EVER. It only took 4 words to have me in tears. The simplicity of this made it so soulful.
I often wonder how a person could be in love with someone they’ve never met before. Yet there it is. It’s like Chris is talking directly to you when he’s singing. He was gifted. Thank you.

His voice is like a $10,000 boutique tube guitar amp. If you don’t push it, the tone is sweet and full of harmonic overtones. If you push it hard, you get this amazing saturated overdrive that makes the guitar seem to sing. He was a singular talent.

Every time I hear this I get goosebumps the second he starts singing. He was astoundingly amazing
It amazed me a man born with a 10000 watt amplifier for a voice, was capable of such tenderness.
When I hear him sing this song I can see in my mind what he’s describing the picture comes to mind. That’s one thing I can say in this song he does. I see the flowers slowly wilted in a back yard. So strange!

I’m a card carrying member of the Grunge Era. I was in high school when the Grunge bands hit the scene. Chris Cornell was gone too soon. This performance shows just how beautiful a voice he can have besides his rock voice. I almost tear up each time. He was such a huge part of my teen years.
Leo Moracchioli and Violet Orlandi did a metal cover of Roxette's "Listen To Your Heart". It is definitely worth a listen.

Hello, I would like to see your reaction to the performances of Diana Ankudinova. Her amazing voice surprises everyone, she performed covers of the famous songs "Wicked Game", "Human", "Havana","Take on Me". She also has her own songs "Into the sky" (В небо), "Your Voice" (Голосом твоим), "Happiness" (Счастье).
I love the little "yodels" he does. I kept expecting you to comment on those. You can hear it on "without" in "like a bird without a song," as well as at a similar moment in the other verses.
What a delivery...I didn´t even care much for this song, but now, for me, it´s like this is the original one and I love it! Great deconstruction and explanation on the technique, always fun to hear your takes. Cheers.

If possible I'd like to see your reaction to Peter Hollen's cover of "Misty Mountains" featuring Tim Foust of the country a Capella group Home Free. This is an a Capella cover. Peter is known for using a lot of vocal layering which you'll experience with this song. As a vocal coach I think you'll really enjoy how the two voice mix. Both have incredible ranges which you'll hear in this cover - one a tenor the other a bass - Peter can reach up to F5, Tim down to F#1. Hope to see it sometime soon.
