I've watched this video quite a few times over a bit of months. I was so geeked to find out the information about the ease of installation... So I did it to my 02 2dr Blazer LS, it's awesome and so comfortable being that the lil lady and I are larger people. Thank you so much for putting this up. 😃
I love your directors film calls. Thanks for the film and being a great dad to include your baby as a film director. I miss those days and you have made yours immortal.
+Kevin M yea, see the Blazer had tired front seat bottoms so I wanted to get some new ones so my brother could have something better to sit on. plus the seatbelt on the passenger side was all frazzled and has to be replaced. but those torx 50 bolts kept chewing up my bits. yea one of them was Harbor Freight junk but another was either Craftsman or S-K. No....I think the other one was Great Neck, yea cheap Chinese junk but that was what I had in the junkyard.
im looking for a bench seat to replace my buckets in a 2000 gmc sonoma extended cab, i am trying to get more seats in them instead of the 3 stupid seats.
If I want to go from a 60/40 to bucket seats do I only need to swap out the center console and driver seat, or do i need to swap out the passenger seat also?
@@Daragon525 not officially. But Im guessing it'll work. The hardest part will be mounting the center console to the floor. I'm still looking for a good enough console to swap in my Xtreme. Arizona heat has not been kind to the plastics here.
This is just a swap out, and would have been a much better video, without the baby noise! I love babies, but not during a video ,when I’m trying to hear what you’re saying.
I'm putting buckets in my 93 Cheyenne right now, taking out my old tore up 60- 40 and replacing with buckets with a middle console, I did the driver side, easy swap, but I think I am gonna have to do some hole drilling for the passenger, I would have thought that they would have manufactured the cabs to take either seat , but I only see holes for one side up on the tranny hump, which is too wide for the bucket, gonna tackle it tomorrow, hope it doesn't give me too much trouble.
Donald Cerda The seats I took out were factory buckets. They came stock in many s series. Most commonly in blazers since they had more seating in the rear. I traded seats with a buddy but you can find seats at the junk yard pretty easily or keep an eye out on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace for people parting out blazers. Try to stay 1998 and up to make it an easy swap.
I'm glad I found this video bc I've been planning on doing this in my 2000 GMC jimmy. Would similar year bench seat fit, or only a certain year? Also did the bench seat already have the middle seat belts attached when u found the bench seat?
Jason's Journeys I know for sure the 98+ 60/40 bench should bolt up to any other 98+ s series without any modifications. Others will fit if you swap brackets and stuff. The middle seat belts come with the seat.
Kevin M oh OK cool. My first idea (which won't work) was to try swapping out the back seat for the back seat out of a 4 door but I like this idea better. And another issue I have is with my passenger seat it won't recline but I'll be swapping the seats anyways when I do this. 5:04 I hope I don't have the same problems as u did when removing that bolt.
Ive got a 94 extended cab s10, would those seats fit in mine? You said it was a 2003 s10 bench right? Also any ideas if i could swap a bench out in the rear to replace the jump seats
Yeah I've seen the swap done. But I'm not 100% sure that the brackets are identical. Pretty sure it's direct though. As far as the back seat, I like your thinking. I have seen a few people do it with some old Mazda seats or something but I don't have any info on it.
Deadpool that's is the stupidest thing I've ever read the roof rack doesn't even Weigh 5 pounds tasking it off won't give you any any better gas millage

To each there own but idk why you would swap from bucket seats to the 60/40 I want the bucket seats with a center console

Another one, sorry I didn't film the process. The most important part. WTF?
those Torx 50s were the problem I encountered with taking seats out of Blazers in the junkyard. I went with 2 T50 sockets and mangled them both.
Yeah they are always trouble.

Just broke one trying to remove my front seat...But i saw a video where they ended up drilling it out and repacing it w/ nut and bolt.
what kind of vehicle did the seats come out of
The solution to your guys problem is a breaker bar that breaks it loose fast and won’t break the t50 tip or mangle bolt

Thanks for this video. I'm going tomorrow to remove some leather seats out of a Blazer to install in my S10.
Have a 98 gmc jimmy 4x4 (s10 blazer) I'm doing this same reason got kids how about a 3rd row seat?
Quick question would I be able to do thiss to my 4 door 2001 blazer
where did you buy the 60/40 bench seat from
That's so cool man. Didn't know blazers had bench seating options too.
I had the same problem with that T50 screw on the driver seat also
Because it's a left hand thread....duh
@@albertcassler8763fr??
Seat belt bolts are left hand thread. So if you try to undo it just remember that," Rity-Tighty lefty-loose won't work...DUH
I'm in the process of putting 4 power heated leather bucket seats and a rear counsel in my 98 Chevy Blazer LS.
If I want to go from a 60/40 to bucket seats do I only need to swap out the center console and driver seat, or do i need to swap out the passenger seat also?
Did you ever find an answer to this?
@@Daragon525 not officially. But Im guessing it'll work. The hardest part will be mounting the center console to the floor. I'm still looking for a good enough console to swap in my Xtreme. Arizona heat has not been kind to the plastics here.
I see you have the recliner handle fix on it.I have the 2001 blazer my handle broke..Bought the fix kit for it.Still working today
Indonesian opel s10 had 3rd row lol
I have a 98 S10 and I want leather seats because I'm tired of cloth
Hi.. Where did you find the seat? Or what other SUV fits on the Blazer?
Yeah they,re notorious for that! It's not too hard to fix and its better than vise grips!
I can’t the only one annoyed about the kid making noise😃
I have an 86 s10 blazer 2 door with buckets. What vehicle is compatible to my seats so I can put a bench or a 60/40?
This is just a swap out, and would have been a much better video, without the baby noise! I love babies, but not during a video ,when I’m trying to hear what you’re saying.
I like that and didnt even think about it but know im hoing to do it
Where did you get the smaller center console?
I want the Bucket Seats, I personally hate my 60/40 seats
Bridget Alexis, I prefer the buckets as well but I occasionally need to fit my whole family of 5 in here which is why i chose to go with the bench.

Does it being 4x4 affect doing this? Or what do you have to look for?
What bucket seats with center console fit a 91 chevy k1500?
Hi. I have a '92 with bucket seats and console out of a full size blazer 92-94. I now want a bench seat though.
Who can fit n the middle
His kid in the video probably. But better than fitting someone is extra knee room and access to both front doors from either side.
But the seats fit with no problems? All the bolts lined up exactly?
Jason's Journeys correct, no problems other than getting the stock bolt out.
Kevin M that's good because I didn't want to buy the seats and then not be able to do nothing with him if bolts didn't line up
Kevin M can I ask where you got the bench seat from?
xXBOSS FAMASXx # I swapped with a buddy that had the 60/40 micro fiber seats in his s10.
Kevin M sorry, just one more question, the new housing you have around the shifter, like the plastic piece... where did you get that?
I'm going to have to do that to mine!!!!
Would a solid bench from an S10 work?
I have a '98 S10 and wanna get rid of my 60/40 bench... where did you buy this seat? Assuming they'd sell the seats you took out

Donald Cerda would seats from a 1997 S10 fit
It's gonna be harder to find a seat cover to the 60/40 seat.
Mr. Nationwide that's true. Thankfully, I don't have to use seat covers so I'm good to go.
Can I ask what kept you from being able to just switch drivers side?
i thought buckets were always more preferable i cant stand my light ass sliding in a bench seat
I agree with that, but I have a family of five and I wanted us all to be able to ride together.
Not if its his wife xD
Itd be like a rabbit on the thing just keep it in 4th gear xD
Brandon Cole wear a seat belt?
I have a 97 s10. I have bucket seats in right now but I want to put in a bench, does anybody know if that's possible
Single cab

awesome thanks man. I will have to do some more research and see if I cant come up with something.
t50 star bit?
i wanna get an old leather bench and put it in my Tacoma
So if I have an 05 blazer 4 Door blazer, I assume this would work just the same. Wanted to clarify since it is on a 2 door here
Sean Burke yup, same for a 4 door.
Perfect, thank you!
Bitchin!
Hard to focus on you because of the beautiful baby ❤️
Can I have your recline adjustment handle?
They sell repair kicks online. Super easy
Take the roof rack off and take everything useless out, make the blazer lighter to save fuel.
