    DIY ACAI BOWL RECIPE BASE
    100 grams acai (1 packet frozen acai pulp)
    1/2 cup frozen pineapple (or 1/2 frozen banana)
    1/3 cup frozen blueberries
    handful of baby spinach (optional)
    1/4 cup coconut milk
    3/4 unsweetened almond milk
    Combine everything in your blender and mix until thick and creamy. Transfer into your favorite bowl and top with any of the topping listed below. Enjoy!!
    *Optional Toppings (mix and match!)
    strawberries
    raspberries
    blueberries
    sliced bananas
    almonds
    hemp seeds
    granola
    shredded coconut

    My favorite way to eat an açaí bowl is to start with some granola on the bottom. It makes a great treat for when you are finishing your bowl and have eaten all the toppings. You now have a fun bottom layer!

    I work in an acai bowl spot in nj and this is how you make it in relatively moderate batches :
    32oz of frozen acai
    4 fresh bananas
    1 frozen
    5 frozen strawberries
    Layer in blender fresh bananas at bottom, then frozen banana/strawberry, then acai
    Blend on high pulse for 1 minutes or until creamy texture
    Freeze for 1+ hour to get rid of that watery consistency you see in this video, until it reaches a more thick consistency, ki d of like an Italian ice

    When I lived in Rio, the Acai bowls were in cups and topped off with syrup (usually chocolate), cereal (the sugary type, like Cocoa Puffs), and granola. Sometimes you could even get it on top of a scoop of ice cream. Absolutely healthy.

    Personally haven’t made an açaí bowl at home, but there’s this one place where I get it and it’s delicious! They layer the bananas on the bottom, put the açaí over it, and then they top it with everything! They add strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, pineapple, chia seeds, bee pollen, and agave! It’s sooooo good

    My acai bowl:
    Acai packets, coconut water, 1 whole banana & frozen berries blended together. Pour into bowl. I add granola, coconut flakes, seeds, strawberry and banana.
    And there you go, that's my acai bowl, ready to enjoy.

    Yum! I love making my own smoothie bowls in the summer. For toppings I love toasting up some oats and sprinkling those on top- it adds a crunchy, nutty flavor. And of course there's nothing like fresh fruit that's in season!

    How *I* make “Açaí Bowls”
    1.) Make a smoothie with all the fruits you want
    2.) When done with the smoothie, take a bowl and some granola. Pour a bit of the granola at the bottom of the bowl
    3.) Pour the smoothie on top of the granola
    4.) [ *optional* ] Put a little more granola on the top of the smoothie
    5.) Top it off with fruits of your choice!

      yeah you have to by the acid purée at a store so to make it at home u can take mixed berries blend it and put in freeze

    My favorite bowl would be the Açaí Superfood Bowl from Nekter 😁👌🏼
    Base: Açaí, banana, strawberry, blueberry, spinach and kale *blend it*
    Toppings: half banana, 1 strawberry, 8ish blueberries, green apple, super food mix (cacao nibs, bee polen, hemp hearts, chia seeds), goji berries and agave nectar on top 🍌🍓🥣👌🏼

    Thanks for sharing this recipe Dani! This is a different version of what we usually have in Brasil, which is why it took me some time to enjoy its earthy flavour. You’re absolutely right, it’s super versatile and allows for lots of combinations. Açaí with banana and granola is a favourite in Brasil 😉😘

    Yes! I love these bowls too! I do one packet of the frozen acai berries, half a frozen banana, probably about a heaping 1/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 tbsp. of powdered stevia, and a teaspoon of vanilla. On top, I layer with powdered flax seeds, then chia seeds, then some gronola, then 2 strawberries another half banana (although I could probably do with a quarter banana).

    I never even knew what açaí bowls were. My daughter got me hooked on them. She used to visit a food truck that made them. They grew so big they now have a store. Visited it for the first time last weekend and OMG was it delicious. So healthy and tastes 😋

    Great video, Dani. I add some frozen banana, acai, a scoop of bone broth powder, 1/2 avocado, handful of greens , some stevia, full fat coconut milk. Delicious and creamy! Toppings are pecans, coconut flakes, hemp hearts and some chocolate chips. So good.

    I make smoothie bowls all the time for my daughter and myself. She calls it ice cream! My favorite toppings are fresh fruit, chia seeds, unsweetened coconut flakes, dried cranberries & granola. Yum :)

      That’s actually the proper way it’s pronounced. Everyone including myself thought it’s pronounced Akaee but it’s wrong they way she says is correct.

    I don’t use acai, I actually use frozen bananas, and than a mix that comes with blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. It’s the best thing ever, you should try it!

      Açaí berries have more nutrients and you can just put all the fruits you use in your açaí bowl. Why would you not want to use açaí?

    Thanks for this! I’ve tried simply blending the açaí pulp before but it didn’t taste great. So the blueberries, mango, coconut milk, and almond milk I think will really help. Can’t wait to try this!
    I also personally love chocolate chips in mine!

    I’ve been making these for 2 years esp for summer time breakfast and lunch ideas. My girls love them! I put diced mangos and raspberries and coconut chips from TJ and hemp seeds. Love the bloopers at the end! Too fun! 😂

    I do the acai, raspberry, banana, spinach, vanilla almond milk (I've started making my own recently so I know what's in it) and some cinnamon and sometimes I'll add cayenne pepper to the mix.
    And then for the toppings it's usually dark chocolate chunks, home made granola, strawberries and sometimes if I'm feeling a bit on the wild side of life, I'll add some hazelnuts or almonds. I would do coconut, but I'm allergic 😂

    I"m brazilian... fit people here in Brazil make the açaí the way you made it.... a lot of organic and healthy ingrendients.... but at the açai stores... we use of course fresh fruits, sprinkle chocolate..... jelly beans.....biscuit..... and many other things.

    Hi Dani! I love all your recipes and have tried many of them at home :) I am 7 months pregnant and was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes. This made me very sad as I enjoy food a lot and now suddenly there is so much I can not eat. I am trying to see if some of your recipes are still relevant for me in this situation and do think I can eat some of it - in moderation of course :) Your recipes are some of the most clean and delicious I have seen in here and I am just thankful for everything you do. Oh I hope my diabetes will go away after I give birth to my daughter so I can enjoy my favorite things again! X

      Dani I have an issue although acai pulp is super healthy I calculated my macros when making a smoothie bowl and realized the pulp was 72% of my carbs for the day. In one meal! I couldn't believe it. So question is how healthy is it really if it has so many carbs?

    That looks great! I think I will use frozen cherries instead of the mango and I will include two squares of 90% dark chocolate broken into tiny pieces on top. I will also use Califia farms coconut/almond milk for the liquid ingredient. Love your videos except they make me hungry. lol

      It’s funny when people call others out about how they say a particular word, especially when they are pronouncing It correctly.
      Açaí is pronounced ah-sa-ee and also ah-sigh-ee.
      If you you ah-sigh...well, you’re wrong. 😂

    Acai, granola, walnuts, strawberry, blueberries, honey, chocolate and peanut butter :) I'm a guy so I like it really bulky and high protein for a nice post workout snack
