    I use one every night. Took it to Ireland last year, took it on 17 night cruise this year, used it in caravan on 12V. No probs so far, been using it for 18 months. Change the filter mostly monthly, found I can get then filters cheaper on Amazon.

    Great review! I have watched others of yours about the travel CPAPS. I have also watched other ones done. Yours is very easy to listen to and understand. I have been looking for a review of the travel CPAP and extended backpacking. There doesn't seem to be one. So when I return from my trip maybe I will do one. :). It will include carrying battery power and it cannot be the 12Volt car battery that some of the camping videos show when at a campground or in a RV, I think I will use the Medistom with the new power adapter for the ResMed Mini and purchase a 'piggyback' Medistrom. If I come into a town every 3-4 days I will be able to recharge. The battery will add quite a bit of weight with charging cable. Fortunately, many hiking materials are ultralight now. Thanks again. I waived between the three smaller travel units, but with all consideration - including powering it - I think I will get the ResMed Mini.

      Great Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Franaar Magic Dream Formula (just google it)? It is a great one off guide for eradicating sleep apnea and snoring without the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy got cool success with it.

    I just ordered mine in. In regards to noise honesty whats better.. slight breathing or your partner gasping for air and snoring.

      Silver Bee 🐝. Sooooooo true. I get so sick and tired of hearing about ‘noise’. The machine noise is so quiet compared with snoring and gasping for air. You hit the nail on the head. Well said 🤜🏻🤛🏻

    You measured the noise level at the device. However, the noise one hears is not really coming from the machine. With the long hose, you can place it further away and hence not hear the noise coming out from the device. It is the noise level near the mask that is the problem, loud when breathing in and out. I dont get this loud breathing problem when using the Resmed Airsense 10. And it would seem to be the major issue with the device. I bought the device 4 years ago and hardly use it. As for cost, I am sure you can ship from the US and it would be much cheaper.

    the moisture exchange sounds like a great bacteria breeder - I'll look for the cost of filters and maybe try the 30 day test. Really curious how this would work for me on long international flights

    I just bought this and an adapter for my Philips Dreamwear mask but it is still super noisy. I do not have the humidifier attachment. I have also tried it with an F30 mask but not happy. Should I return it or try nasal pillows? ( I am a mouth breather) but use Somnifix strips. My pressure is set at 8.16 cm and EPR 3 whatever that means!

    You mentioned that there were much cheaper options for travel CPAPS; what are they? I've lugged an F&P Icon on a couple of overseas business trips and even used it once on a long haul flight, so keen to find a more compact alternative.

    Hi Nick. I’m experiencing rainout on the Air mini. Any idea what the cause might be?
    The mini is attached to a new P10 , with a new humidex plus.
    It is humid here but the bedroom is air conditioned to 20 degrees and it’s not blowing directly on me.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated! Cheers

    Hey Nick, would you advise the Air Mini as my primary CPAP given that my levels are around 9.6?

  • @peterhelton7974
    @peterhelton7974 7 років тому

    Nick, the commentary on these machines is that the noise come from the HMA filter. Could you measure the decibels from the HMA filter, rather than from the machine itself?

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  7 років тому +1

      Peter Helton hello, the commentary is incorrect. The noise does not come from the filter.

    • @peterhelton7974
      @peterhelton7974 7 років тому

      That's good to know. Why do you think forum owners are complaining of more noise than they are used to compared to their Resmed 10's?

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  7 років тому +1

      Because they are noisier than full size units especially above around 13cmH20.

    • @peterhelton7974
      @peterhelton7974 7 років тому

      So you mentioned the noise for the air mini was 60Db, what is it for the rested airsense 10 as a comparison?

  • @Resist4
    @Resist4 3 роки тому

    I wish insurance would cover this machine but since they got me a ResMed AirSense 10, they won't and I can't see paying $900 US for it. To be far with that decibel test, the meter should be where your head is and not right next to it.

  • @dinoapolito5354

    I found this unit ridiculously noisy. The machine itself is noisy but the tube at the point of the silly humidifier is worse still and only inches from ears. Don’t ask your wife in the kitchen if she can hear you - ask your partner trying to sleep next you.
    Bordering on useless and there are many people who have exchanged their unit if possible.
