    How loud is the Airmini when it is powered on? Is it louder than the full size resmed 11 cpap?

      Hi,
      Thanks for reaching out! Yes, any travel unit is going to be a little louder. The do not have the abasement foam that sound proofs the machine is why.

    How lobg do you have to charge it for at tge initial charge? Mine wont charge and think its defective

      The machine themselves have to be plugged into an outlet. If you are trying to use cordless you would need to purchase a back up battery.
      I would suggest either the Zopec Mini or the Medistrom Pilot- 24 I have provided links below to view.

    Can I use this on a long airplane flight? Is it going to be embarrasingly noisy for someone next to me? Is there a way to plug it in on a plane? And one more question...I use a 10 ft tube at home, can I get an adaptor for my facemask ( the triangular nose- only one...Don't know the proper name offhand...maybe Mirage) to be used with the 6ft hose that the mini comes with?

    • @mikefish8226
      @mikefish8226 7 місяців тому

      There are adaptors sold that allow the use of full size pipe and mask. I've not used the mini whilst flying as I lost it somewhere (Las Vegas hotel, I think) so have been using my Resmed 10 on flights. On noise, planes are noisy environments anyway so don't worry. Since I look silly wearing the mask, I generally have the blanket up to my chest, the CPAP machine on a surface and then put my shirt etc over my head (which I couldn't do if I wasn't using a cpap machine).

      Hi, sorry for the late response. Yes you can use the standard 10 foot or the Airmini hose with your mask. I will provide 2 sets of products you would need for wither scenario.
      The products below would be if you want to connect your standard tubing, have the humidity and use your mask:
      sleeplay.com/products/snugell-airmini-hose-connector
      sleeplay.com/products/heat-moisture-exchanger
      The products below are if you would like to use the Airmini 6ft tubing with humidity and your own mask:

    I have a Luna II CPAP and wear a DreamWear Nasal Pillow. I have standard tubing already. What would I need to purchase if I acquire a ResMed AirMini if I'd like to continue using my current mask?

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  Рік тому

      Hi,
      Thanks for reaching out! Yes, all you would have to purchase is the Airmini Snugell Hose connector in the link below. If you would like to include the humidity still, you would connect the HME I also listed in the link below.

    is the air mini app available in the Philippines? is the filter really required or I can opt not to use it?

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  5 місяців тому

      Hi, Thanks for reaching out! The app is available I would say as long as you have bluetooth access and internet. You should use the filter to filter out the intake of the room air.

    I already have a Mirage FX Nasal Mask that I have been using on a rented ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset unit. I want to acquire an AirMini and wonder if I can use the Mirage FX mask with the AirMini unit?

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  Рік тому

      Thanks for reaching out! Yes so if you want to keep the humidity option, you can purchase a Snugell Mini connector, HME connector and a standard hose. Then you can use any mas you like. If you do not care about humidity you would just purchase the Snugell Airmini connector and the standard hose and you would be good to go. The links I provided for you. Let me know if that works or if I can help with anything else. I would be happy to. - James

    Question , the app had determinate that my frecuency should be 5, however , it’s too strong for me . There is any way to reduce it manually ?
    Thank you

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  Рік тому

      Hi Marina,
      Can you reiterate the question I am sorry! Do you mean the pressure needs to be 5. If so that is a very low pressure 4 is not too much of a difference. I promise, what happens is right now that may seem high. But after you have used and practiced and worn more often. Once you get used to the pressure will not seem like it is blowing at all in some cases. It is just a matter of giving yourself some time I am telling you. Please let me know in a couple weeks how that pressure feels. If you are practicing even during daytime taking naps, watching movie and dozing off and at night. It will be the complete opposite! The machine is set on auto so it is only doing what your body requires to keep your airway open.

    Another introduction to the Air Mini from someone who did not try it for a few days, nor make it work for the camera and see that it makes a lot of noise around the humidity disk area (the joint). In fact, it makes too much noise to be able to sleep. Why introduce a product when you did not try it for several days and talk about it from experience. The Air Mini machine-engine itself is rather silent, but the wind noise coming out of the disk zone is too loud for anyone. Not a fair video.

      Hi Jim,
      I apologize that you had that experience with the unit. Not everyone who uses has the same. I was giving a general overview for patient's who are going to use the machine. Or are new to CPAP. You are correct I do not use this machine I use the Airsense 10. Apologize for any inconvenience to you! Thank you for watching! We will try to better on future videos!

      Hello - I am struggling with this same issue - it's not the machine itself, it's the venting that approaches 60 db with every inhale! @@Sleeplayground
