I'm a trucker and this is an awesome setup. There's times I really don't need to keep the truck running and to have a humidifier-less setup is awesome.
Wow! Game changer! I backpack and I've had to sacrifice sleep in order to do the activities I enjoy. No more. I'm looking into this immediately! Thank you!
This is great. I was just diagnosed with sleep Apnea late last year. This compact CPAP machine is exactly what I have been looking for the last couple months. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you so much for this Mark. I’m a new CPAP user, and CDL holder. The thought that I would have to choose between my career and continuing to get out camping without the 4Runner or an RV has really been stressing me out. This looks like a very doable setup. You’ll never know how much this impacts my life. Thank you!!! 🙏🇺🇸
This was exactly the content I was looking for. Thanks for the excellent video. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea when I was 21 and so far it has been quite limiting. When I go camping and choose not to take the device I have to give up a good night's sleep. This is a life changing device. Unfortunately the price is just too expensive to bear at the moment
Oh thank god, the Family kickwd me out of the tent because i wasnt able to bring my CPAP camping and the snoring was keeping them all up. Now we can camp comfortably again!
Thanks for the video! I'm glad to see that you recommend the setup. I recently purchased the same CPAP unit, but a different, but very similar, battery. I do not have a solar charger as of yet, but I will add one to my kit. I really needed a compact setup for motorcycle travel. I live in the southwest, so having humidity is a must.
I use the Resmed Air Mini at home and on the road. This has been my only device for over 10 years. My mask is the AirFit P10, light and comfortable. Since then I haven't looked for any other option. I think I have the ideal combination. THANKS
Fantastic video! Especially the gear tip! I look forward to backpacking with this gear. Probably don't need battery and solar panel if you can car camp. My Tesla will keep my machine running when I sleep in it.
I've been using that model for a couple of years, and it works great! I got the battery with it, but they didn't offer the solar panel at that time. One thing to be aware of if you're using it with an inverter in your RV (while boondocking), the CPAP unit doesn't draw enough power throughout the night to consistently trigger a larger inverter if you're using it with the 110v plug. They also sell a 12v cigarette-lighter-type plug adapter (with the cord) that plugs directly into the CPAP unit. That 12v setup works much better by directly drawing battery power without having to run an inverter if you're away from shore/camp power (and doesn't waste power by running the inverter all night). I've found that I use the 12v adapter much more often than the battery when camping and only use the battery when backpacking. It's a little pricey, but mine has been going strong for a few years now and you can't beat the size of everything!
Great video! I too have to submit a report to the FAA every year, it’s a pain. I got the AirMini for my travels and keep an AirSense 10 at home. I thought I could never go camping again, glad to be proven wrong. This Lofta off the grid gives me options I thought were none existent. Thank you!
I've got one . I use it for travel and camping. It's handy but way noisier then my big ResMed one. I have the nose mask with humidifier cartridge and that's where the noise is coming from. Thinking of trying the mask without humidifier feature to see how it goes.
I have an Ego cordless lawn mower. The battery for it is high capacity and there's an adaptor to get AC and USB power out of that battery. It's too big for back packing but would work fine on a canoe trip. I'd like to try both options. Thanks for the info.
Please post again when you have actually tested the charging time from the proprietary solar panel. It is important to know how long it will take to charge that battery and under what environmental conditions. As someone who would love to be able to backpack again for more than 2 nights it is important to know.
My wife has had this set up for our off grid trips, it works for a period of time and then the battery for no reason no longer recognizes the cable. We bought a new battery and new cable because we thought the first one had faulted and the same has happened. As we all know this is expensive equipment and we are not willing to payout again and get no response from either supplier. Have you had any issues with this happening to your set up. If so did you resolve it and how?
Looks cool but what is the point of buying this 600$ powerbank? It's way cheaper to buy normal powerbank but with normal electrical socket (which is waaay smaller than your battery) to which you can connect normal charger. Such a powerbank costs arround 150~200 usd not 600
Hello Max Re: Camping with a CPAP using humidifier and heated hose. I have a ResMed AirCurve 10 and must use the heated hose with humidifier therapy or suffer severe nose bleeds. I also have a Fisher&Paykel ICON+Premo CPAP for back-up. What battery would give me a solid eight hours of sleep using humidifier and heated hose. Thanks, Rob
I use the AirMini for camping, works great EXCEPT, wash out is a constant struggle. The cool night air causes condensation which results with gurgling in the tube and a face full of water if you turn over. I've tried an insulated cover for the tube that helps a little. So far the current fix is to put the entire thing into the sleeping bag with me but I worry about cutting off air to the machine and over stressing it. If anyone knows how to solve the condensation issue, I'd love to hear it!
Great for camping if in a tent by yourself. This device is unusable inside due to the loud air flow noise. Either you won't sleep and your partner definitely won't sleep.
Your "very popular" cpap machine has acquired a bad reputation with its foam issues. Other unaddressed issues are now being reported. I love my Resmed Airmini. Bring it along on every cruise and vacation.
Respectfully disagree. My Rezmed AirMini required expensive repairs. For the past 2 years, my z2 Auto has been with me on numerous international bicycle tours and hikes and it has never failed me.
The MOST important info on UA-cam.
Holy moly they’re proud of that thing!
I 1000% agree! I've had mine for about a year and it's a life-changer for my offgrid living.
I'm a trucker and this is an awesome setup. There's times I really don't need to keep the truck running and to have a humidifier-less setup is awesome.
FAA certified pilots with sleep apnea must provide proof that the CPAP is being used as well. This is great setup.

Really useful. I’m going off grid and the battery info very useful. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I use a Bluetti AC50S battery with my air mini runs almost 11 nights with the DC power cable.❤ ran 8 nights plugged into AC power. 🎉
Is the DC adapter you're talking about the 12v dc cigarette lighter style adapter plugged into the bluetti?
@@invisrene yes
Hey man thanks for the effort on this. just he info I was looking for.
Glad I could help
The solar charging system is awesome! Thanks for the info

Thanks for sharing this video! I'm guessing that this product could help out a lot of people.
Have a nice day! 🙂
Thank you! You too!

Totally agree!
I didn’t have my readers on when I saw the thumbnail “Best CRAP for off grid camping.” I thought, this should be good.
Thanks Mark. A paddling friend in Germany definitely could use this… Let’s see if he’s interested…

Yup, a little noisier. But Merri says it's still quieter than my snoring. LOL
Great info

Very helpful. Thank you.

I bought the resmed mini for my last trip to Thailand....worked great!!!
Great to hear!
Great video, I really appreciate the information!

Great video!! However you are getting shaggy my friend! Merri needs to give you a good pruning. When is the next buzzcut video?
What mask are you using? Model number? thanks.
Where do you order the mask with humidifier?
yes.
My insurance doesn't cover this one, but I bought one for travel!
My Prius v powers it
How can i get it! I have a resmed

That is such a small battery, how much power does the mini draw compared to a full size CPAP?
I use a BPAP. Will this qualify?

It looks great just wish it wasnt 1500 for the full set up

I'm going outside more 2024
Except the airmini costs 60% more than my existing CPAP, that shits too expensive for me.
I’m intrigued, but I heard that the CPAP for that mini resmed is not good and super expensive.
Ridiculously priced setup
