Ralph Lauren ad on a Ralph Lauren video. I'm proud of you, UA-cam, finally figured out the advertising algorithm
theWNK 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It's all about the brand identity. Figure out your target audience and your company values and go from there.
Agreed
Hm my target audience ist human being.
@@leahnyb6878 well, some make millions selling pets clothes so..
@@createdbynemanja3431 Well who buys them? Not the pets...:-*
Thanks. I'm figuring it out now.
Amazing this guy never even study design, he was a natural born talent.
Think about it. His line has been done many times before. A basic polo shirt that actual early polo players wore. He simply copied what the Anglo Saxon's are wearing and put his spin on it! The aristocracy way of dressing. You can go back 80 years and see those clothes at Harvard, Yale,Princeton.....nothing new yet just another way of doing it. Simplicity is the greatest idea that no one ever thought of!
King Dome you got it
Thanks Zuriel!
You're right! It's really not about inventing but about marketing
Yep... time and time again: less is more.
No one ever thought of? Minimalism is very popular! But I agree the greatest reason for its success was the branding. Akin to how Steve Jobs transformed Apple.
My late aunt gave me a Ralph Lauren plaid pattern long sleeve shirt when I was 3, I still have it to this day.
"At a time of simple ties Ralph offered something new....bright ties" man if only it were that simple today.
Leonardo Datore it is, kind of. Make bright car tires for example, sounds stupid at first, like bright ties sounded at that time but it might come a big thing in the future.
Somebody might say 30 years from ow ”man if it were that simple today, cmon colourful tires thats obvious”
It’s actually waayyy more simple today, bro we got social media. As a marketer I was horrified thinking what Ralph had to go through on sales and marketing
@@gatesboy7645 simpler, but over saturated. Less competition is easier, but it's a matter of perspective.
What I love about this brand is that it's affordable for (almost) everyone. I buy lots of RL clothes. I buy it online when they are on sale. It's awesome. And then you get some coupons, too.
+luticia Tommy Hilfiger is better in my opinion
+Equalz why?
you have to be kidding
nick parkin
Who? Me?? And why?
***** its expensive as fuck
Polo's big man line is off the hook I thank my lucky stars I finally have a designer that understands big man shapes and fits a genius and life saver I love him and he gave me back a degree of dignity
Mr. Lauren's story/brand is an inspiring tale of American dreams come to life. Well played, Mr. Lauren 👏🏻
After hearing how he designed...I don't think this level of advertising has ever been achieved by any other brand. Think about it...seeing the ads, the store windows, the way the garments were all brought together to give this entire lifestyle breath...literally the sole reason I buy RL. Every time I see the logo, touch the fabric, or see an in-store boutique, or standalone store, the feeling inside is immeasurable. It makes you feel like you're living the lifestyle! WOW.
Abercrombie & Fitch did a great job doing this in the mid 90s to early 2000s.
@@teddymcfail4359 Never😤on the level of RL! They achieved a level of success with it for teens, tweens, twins, and himbos but it never will ever be or feel like a lifestyle brand.
One of my favourite designers! Pure class!
One of my favorite designers, thank you Ralph Lauren.
Ralph Lauren is timeless
Happy 80th Birthday Ralph Lauren
When my dad was not in uniform, one of the things I remember him wearing were Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts.
I love Ralph Lauren, he makes classy clothes.
The glamour, the timeless elegance, I have fallen in love with Ralph Lauren
"That's the kind of pressure that comes from the immigrants' arriving and thinking that they don't look right, that they are kind of funny-looking and maybe shorter than everyone else, and their clothes aren't expensive...That's why many of them began to sew, so they could imitate the patterns of the day. You were making yourself over. You were turning yourself into an American."
-Frick Polykoff, in Malcolm Gladwell's "What the Dog Saw"
I love the world of Ralph Laurent, it is a timeless brand, a never ending magic, it is a reflection on how much beautiful a human mind can be!
Asrar Banat Ladies Center Lauren
I love Mr. Ralph Lauren he's a great desinger very admirable
The secret to making it is use simple ideas and make the clothing that most everyone would wear! Hence Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors etc.
I disagree - Hilfiger after becoming a mass production and leaving the company had lost his charm, his zest as the company now is in the hands of investment barons. Ralph fortunately still keeps his elegance and uniqueness, let him not loose it on the stock market pleasing shareholders
Mila Kletsky Exactly. And Tommy Hilfiger’s choice of fabrics leaves a lot to be desired. The cuts are all boxy and patterns are prairie-like. Michael Kors… His logo is blinding. His Skinny jeans fit well, I’ll give hm that...but that’s about it. I am from Long Island and Ralph...I grew up with Ralph. He knows what’s up.
Nobody likes Michael Kors except chavs & low level ho's. Tommy Hilfiger is tacky looking.
One of the few classy brands left
Brooks brothers, nautica, Tommy, etc.
Shoaib K Tommy Hilfiger is best
Don't forget Lacoste
And of course the absolute best FRED PERRY
Raf Simmons, Rick Owens
Bravo and Well-done Mr R. Lauren for all these Works of Creation, Elegance and Beauty for Everyone on Earth !
I really wanted to be a fashion designer, but I'm actually going to take an interior design course instead, and then in my own time I will start creating my own lines and just build a fashion business
Hello Philipp Plein
Wow me too
Would love to hear hows it going in your adventures

Bloomberg: Thanks for this great video of Ralph Lauren.... I love his brand because you can afford and look lovely!!! he made it his business to do that for "everybody". Health and happiness for Ralph, family, friends and all of his customers. Cheers from New Orleans the city of jazz and the "cajun" food.

64% of this video's views are from Kanye West.

Ralph Lauren: "I wanted to be Batman!!"
My favorite brand for over 30 years, has been POLO. The quality, the name, the brand...
I'm 14 and I ALWAYS wanted to be a fashion designer.
Same bro, i am 15, and always think of elements of making authentic and distinct clothes. Also I make music, just saying.
@@sadichowdhury1547 Awww thats really cool that you also make music I wanted to be a DJ when i was a kid but then was like nahh i just prefer to listen to it😂 lucky you though. What kind of music do you make? And what kind of clothing do you make? Do you like Avant garde?
I so enjoyed this video...and a peek into Ralph Lauren's Labor of his part of building a Fashion Empire! Thank YOU...
I both love architecture and fashion designing so i decided to go archi and the money i will earn will be my money to build my fashion brand oop but im only grade 7 so i gotta wait :(
Nice story of Ralph Lauren the great American fashion designer.
Wow, they really glossed over brand controversy at 21:50 quickly and avoided saying anything else potentially negative about the company. Bloomberg can't manage critical thinking about their game changers?
Hypatia4242 I noticed that too, I wonder why?
Quality and style are second to none!
On my way to hope to make it ❤️ Fashion
You can do it!
This man has always inspired me to go further

Ralph Lauren!!!!!!! Yassssssssssss
You are THE MAN!!!
Incredible that someone without any care for fashion made so much money out of and impact on it - really does make you think
Brilliant
He taps on aspirations of everyone who will never play polo.
Ralph Lauren definitely has that BLACK STRAND running through him!!
Anyone who finds this inspirational or interesting please read Michael Gross's"Genuine Authentic". The video sparingly touches on issues and aspects that are more fully addressed in the book.It is an unauthorized biography after M.Lauren denied co-operation.
The Audrey Hepburn at the CFDA awards was sad.Reminds me of Halle Berry and Adrian Brody at the Oscars.Read the book.
I've always loved him and his style.
LEARNING
+Lorena Auguste We all do! : ) Your humbleness touched me.
Great video.
