Might I suggest the Leadville area. You will get much more value for your dollar and the town is still authentic, more so than anything in the Aspen area and yet you’re still close enough to do anything there you’d like to!!
OMG you guys crack me up...never know what you two are coming up with next! I just love each and every new adventure you go on!! Stay warm and safe travels
I live in Colorado...I think the elevated highway you mentioned may have been Glenwood Spring? That is an awesome drive. Wintertime on westbound I-70 is a gamble sometimes...I wish more people had your attitude about taking it slow and enjoying the scenery! Everybody always seems to want to get there first, like it will disappear before they get to their destination! Stay safe and keep having fun!
We've definitely been surprised by the amount of people flying around us on mountain passes...especially when it's been snowy/icy. 😟 Then again, we might be overly cautious, especially in our new rig, but still...some of these people freak us out they go so fast! 🏎💨
Thank you! We're really loving learning how to drive all sorts of different rigs. I think the only one we're really missing is a class A...we'll have to rent one soon enough so we can cross it off our list.
I’m dying because we were just in Colorado and we noticed this camper on the side of the road and I was like “hey I think they’re vlogging! I want to see their video!” And I swear we walk by in the background like a minute into the video 😅😅 if it is, or even if it isn’t, I hope you enjoyed the winter wonderland as much as we did!
Great film, I often say that but I really mean it this time. The Ford 4x4 camper is fantastic, the best thing you've travelled in and the area is wonderful. At first I was disappointed you weren't taking us on a tour of prospective cabin purchases but the X-Games more than compensated. Nice impression of a Bengal kitten Eric!
We were in Barcelona a while back and X-Games just happened to be in town. On our flight from Atlanta over there were a bunch of skate boarders on our plane carrying their boards. We decided to get tickets to a couple of events while we were there. The skate board half pipe was amazing! X-games athletes are a different kind of athlete!
They are in the low roof model, the CX, which is no longer made. The taller roof model is the TX, which is all they make now, and there's plenty of headroom. The taller roof model also gives you taller upper cabinets, and more room above you in the cabover bed.
Love this video. I really love Colorado too. We like going to Silverton and Ouray. Little places but so amazing. That 4x4 is awesome. Leadville and Bueno Vista are places that we enjoy hiking in the mountains. The peace of the mountains refresh me. Enjoy your time there!
Oh man, we love that Colorado snow! You are correct, that’s a gorgeous scene for a drive! Such a cool new rig, we are looking for a new one and we really like the style! Safe travels, you two! -Ben and Ang
You two find the coolest rigs! Making me miss my previous home state. It's beautiful year round. If you ever find yourself stuck in Breck for the night, I know a beautiful quiet place to spend the night. Continue enjoying Colorful Colorado.
Those X games look like a blast. But, now that you've seen them, wait a few days before leaving. Colorado has enough sunny days. All you have to do is wait for the roads to clear up. Like your new smoky blue truck. It's got a lot packed into it, plus you can walk from the cab to the back and not worry about the "knock."
Manual hubs are awesome for a 4x4. I believe the auto industry will bring them back soon. If they are not already on some 4x4's. Looks like fun time at the X-Games. Also great videoing of those athletes.
We bought a hard shell top for our truck bed and did a mini conversion. They come in a variety of heights so we got one a little taller than our truck and did a double layer of foam insulation in the back and it was surprisingly warm. I liked having a window between the two areas big enough to fit through. A high-quality memory phone mattress to keep things small is the way to go. It would have been perfect if we had built the kitchen trailer for better storage management.
Wooo! I just finished watching ALL of your videos!! Took me a few weeks of binging. I am going to miss watching like 2 hours at a time!!! 🤣 I absolutely adore both of you and your love for adventure and each other! Your content is just wonderful! Can’t wait to see what you two crazy kids get up to next. Sending lots of positive healing vibes for Clementine. Stay safe and warm out there!
Those locker switches on the wheels are most likely to lock your hubs in when doing some offloading. It makes the tires on each axle turn at the same speed. You should still have 4 wheel drive without "turning them in"
um,nope-you're "free wheeling" if the hubs are unlocked- the hub lock connects/disconnects the front wheels from the driveline-maybe you were thinking of "differential lock"?
I have been on that highway and it GORGEOUS... its even better in the sunlight and green everywhere... Make sure to go see Grand Junction before you leave CO and the Book Cliffs... They are STUNNING.. Safe travels🚙🚌
Nice truck/camper! Perfect for Colorado weather! That was a unique coverage of the X Games! If you get a chance, maybe do a vlog of the Denver Airport with it's demonic gargoyles and the conspiracy theorists wall art that is there? I'm curious what your entertaining spin would be on it? The Adventure continues!
Aww, you two are the sweetest couple that I know on the net, You two have so much fun when your are out, I love it, Hugs n Love to you two , I really like this RV
Love it!! I’m on the fence right now with either sell or trade my class A Motorhome in Florida right now! I want to purchase a class B. For the same reason as pulling over just about anywhere to sleep. More boondocking which will allow me to travel at a faster pace and further. My goal is to see as much as the states before my terminal diagnosis keeps me down. God bless you both!
This was an awesome video you guys! If anyone watched Eamon and Becs video he swapped with Eva the Overlander and I think this truck is the tie breaker!! I would totally buy one of these! 😁❤
I drove from Denver to Vail back around '95, it's spectacular country. but I just had a tiny Jeep, not a big monster like you guys. The X-Games looked like fun. Looking forward to more from Colorado.
I flew into that airport many times for work. I have to let you know here they close I70 at the sign of the first snow flake since so many flatlanders struggle with winter driving in the high country. Applaud you guys for acquiring the right vehicle. I just spotted the same rig (white Tiger) on Craig's List for a reasonable price. If I hadn't already built my own from a E450 I would have jumped. BTW- I used to camp in ski area lots in my hippie van in the 70's just to be the 1st on the lift, and the grilled brats and beer afterwords were great.
Y'all should have waited a day. Living in Colorado & Utah my most of my life we check the weather when we plan our road trips in the winter. It only takes wrecking out once in the middle of your trip to teach you to be flexible.
My dad worked a cement truck on the elevated highway in glenwood canyon. Fun fact - that stretch of highway was the most expensive highway project in American history
If that person in the tent is doing it the way i would camp in the snow when I was younger the trick is having a down sleeping bag and then putting it (and yourself) inside a very large black garbage bag, the bag helps trap body heat.
I’m in love with u guys channel I came across y’all channel watching f tiny home videos and now I can’t sleep without ur video playing in the back ground
Holy smokes that's so rad! We would love to see the X Games. So cool! We love your channel so much. You guys always make us laugh and both of you on your tiny bike/ski things cracked us up.
Talk about an ADVENTURE! That was so much fun so thank you. Hope you didn't run out of propane or get stuck in the snow. Thanks for the hysterical times on your bike races. My sides hurt from laughing. Awww....that was fun.

This is the first and only video of yours I've seen, so idk what you've visited yet, but I used to live in Colorado. If you haven't already, check out The Royal Gorge Bridge. It still holds the record for the world's highest suspension bridge. Also, Bishops Castle is pretty cool. Pueblo and Pueblo West were pretty nice areas when I lived out there. That was back in 1994-96, though so idk about the current state. Anywhere along the Colorado River is pretty nice. A family member used to own some land that the river cut through, and I spent many summers rafting down it. That was always fun.
Eric does a nice Bengal kitten, you do not want something that will eat you. They used to do a kids X games and it was really fun for the kids in it, some of the older competitors even helped the kids.
So I’ve got a 96 F250 similar to yours normal truck and the manual hubs I found are more reliable because my 2004 work truck has the automatic locking hubs and it has just never worked right and on a camper like that that has all that extra weight on it the added security of the manual hubs just makes it a little bit more reliable, even if it is an inconvenience to have to get out to go lock them in.
We are actually looking at the Trinidad area of Colorado, we have been all over Colorado, we really liked the vibe in Trinidad alot of new restaurants are opening..we are still researching real estate and maybe a restaurant to operate.

You should check out the world's highest suspension bridge here in Canon City. It's called the Royal Gorge Bridge and park and is on one of the highest and deepest canyons in the USA. Not only does is have the world highest suspension bridge (that you can walk and drive across) but it has gondolas and zip lines that go all the way across the canyon and a lay down swing that goes over the edge of the canyon. Best cup of coffee I have ever had was in Leadville and it is a nice town!

At about 12:58 she said "one of the main reasons we rented this truck camper", so was it traded or rented?
I love the way you change the intro. Thanks for showing so much of Colorado. 😃 Love Golden and Conifer.
Golden is outrageously expensive. Nothing under 1.5 million. Look it up. It’s also not that attractive on top of that
At the rate you’re going thru RV’s….think an intervention may be needed. 😂 😂
