That is an amazing place, my son moved there when he had stage 4 colon cancer, I was fortunate to spend lots of time there with him . He spent a summer in Silverton as well. I unfortunately lost him Jan 2022 at 39 he loved life there until he passed!
So sorry to hear that he passed, but we're so happy you got to spend so much time with him. He definitely chose a perfect place to live with the time he had left ❤️
It's why I love Grand Junction. 100 miles from Ouray, 100 miles to Moab/Lake Powell, 100 miles to rugged mtn wilderness, legal weed, mild winters, the Colorado River, etc.
Great video, guys! One thing to keep in mind, it doesn’t matter what you do in these videos as long as you’re enjoying it. People came to you on UA-cam for one reason or another, but they stick with you because they like you. Keep enjoying life!
I’m so glad you guys stumbled on Ouray. I accidentally found that place while looking at maps for our western trip last year. I will say it’s one of the most amazing small towns in America! I compared it to Banff, AB, CA. The 2 are super similar!!
Don't want to steal your thunder but i hope somebody has recommended riding the Narrow Gauge Railroad up to Silverton from Durango. i grew up in Farmington NM and spent a lot of time visiting S Colorado. Never realized how spoiled i was until I moved away. Ouray, Silverton and Telluride are heaven on earth... I miss them. I will enjoy your videos exploring that area. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you.
Good to know! So far we've added it to every burrito we've come in contact with. 🤤 We're so bummed this hasn't caught on in the midwest - we're gonna miss it when we leave!
I used to live in Gunnison, 100 miles northeast of Ouray. Spent a ton of time ice climbing there. Once you master the beginners' wall, further along the canyon it narrow and deepens and you can find climbs that can reach to 200'. They have the premier ice climbing festival in the country there every year. Afetrwards, a soak in the hot spring pool and then an evening in a brew pub is a must do.
The two of you are so much fun. Allison is a hoot. Her reactions to following the trail and her comments when she falls really crack me up. I love it when she "flubs" her lines when improvising her "transition" comments in all the videos. Her crampons "adventure" is an instant classic in the Allison library of videos. I look forward to your videos every week, which are both visually beautiful and entertaining! And don't get me started on the food you feature. I'm drooling all over my computer keyboard. (P.S. Great choice of music to accompany the video. Do you use a particular music package?)
Hi Eric and Allison That was an amazing video and the Food their looked so good When you get time You'll find more things on your way to Montana the higher you go here in Montana the better it gets up by Glacier National park Can't wait to see you here
My family settled the state of CO in the 1870s in silverton which is on the opposite side of the million dollar highway. thanks for showcasing such a beautiful part of my home and history!!!
Always a fun watch with you two! Note from a Norwegian though, you two are always cold and I am on the other side of the screen screaming for you two to at least close your jackets, or put on hats or a scarf to hinder the warmth from escaping. Like the ice climbing for example: with both a duvet coat and a wind coat open, of course you are cold 😀 Lots of love from the forever winter country
Same here, I completely don't get it😅. They say how numb their limbs are, and yet, they don't close their jackets! Like, what? Who dresses like that for winter? 😳 And without scarves, hats or gloves too. Do they think it looks better on camera this way? Wrong, it looks plain weird for anyone who's ever experienced snow in their lives😅. I live in Poland, and I'd literally die without my scarf. A bare neck makes one feel the cold immediately🥶
Ouray is such a beautiful town. My grandfather used to have a house up in Ouray and it's beautiful in both winter and summer. There is also a little chocolate shop called Mouses Chocolates. They make their chocolate in house. And they also have the best scrap cookies.
I love Ouray so much. The whole San Juan range of Colorado is amazing. If you have time, you should check out Mesa Verde National Park just 40 minutes west of Durango.
Friends of mine built a home in the mountains outside Ouray and we helped them a few times…long time ago. The town has changed, but not too much. Thanks for sharing and jogging my memory!
We love Ouray! I am glad that you took the time to visit this beautiful place. The hot springs are nice but the road….. I am a flatlander and I have to admit that road scared me!!! It was totally worth it! Some people drive it every day. Unbelievable to me! Now I have to go back to visit this beautiful place. ❤ I almost forgot. You need to take the Durango-Silverton railroad! Silverton is so quaint too.
Great video. Ouray is a beautiful town, and fun to visit. As a native Coloradoan, I've been there several times. But what I'm most impressed with, is that you pronounced Ouray correctly! 👏👏👏. Yay for you!!
My most precious memory is My Mom taking my twin, brother and our dear Grandma in 1964 to Ouray and having eclairs on the corner ( I believe it was in the Elks building) and seeing the Million Dollar Highway. We got to see her hometown Delta and Delta County and surrounding towns, in our travels. Have fun, the Western Slope is beautiful and has so much history.❤️❤️ Been following you two for a long time!
Breakfast almost Lunch is called Brunch! Great video! Good balance of adventure, views and food! I see how you both stay fit and trim with all the hiking and now you can add ice wall climbing to your list of skills! Kudos to you both for conquering that.
Hi guys. Glad you’re having a good time. Ouray is a super popular place. All of those small towns are super popular, like Telluride, Gunnison, Grand Lake, Leadville, Steamboat, etc. All of them have a lot of history and are great fun. BTW, I would suggest that you DONT hike on trails in the freezing snow. Just saying. Have fun!👍
the nice thing about Colorado is you get lots of blue skies & when it snows and the sun comes out even nicer. I've never been to Quary, so thanks. I'll have to make it up there someday. Pagosa Springs is not too far from Durango. a good place to get warm.
I knew you would love SW Colorado. Hope you ended up doing the entire San Juan loop, continuing from Durango to Cortez and then up through Telluride. You'll never want to leave!
It's not a question just wanted to tell you that I think you are gorgeous and you have such a cute personality . Whoever is lucky enough to be your valentine is seriously the luckiest boy in the world and I hope you get spoiled and have a great valentine's day
Also, check out Buena Vista (careful with that pronunciation!) and Salida (also careful with that pronunciation! They aren't what you think!) they are both cute mountain towns worth checking out.
Eric & Allison. You mentioned you're heading for Durango. Bet you're going on that railroad which is pretty special. Does look like you passed over the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park which is too bad. Also I've been to Telluride in the Summer for their music festival. That town is worth a visit too.
My gosh, how do I always manage to watch your videos when I am hungry??!! You've got me craving food from this little place off the beaten path way out west! lol. AND, coffee from a picturesque "snow globe" town must taste delicious! Mmmmmm ! Great video! The Adventure continues!
Glad we could give you a chuckle after a hard week! We'd love to visit again in summer and really take advantage of the amazing nature there...hopefully with less falls and wardrobe issues 😅
Wow are used to live in Colorado and never seen what you guys are seeing I am so jealous maybe one of these days just maybe I like your channel and because of what you guys do and where are you go you’re showing me parts of the United States and of the world that I’ve never seen or will probably never go to in person so I thank you so much for what you’re doing maybe you want to these days I will find somebody to travel with and hopefully soon keep up the good work my friends you’re awesome people
@10:20, you passed by the Ouray Brewery. We love to go to that rooftop bar in the summertime and watch all the jeeps going down mainstreet. Great food too. After that, a nice soak in the clothing optional hotsprings down by Ridgeway makes for a great day.
You should both get a set of micro spikes to make getting around on snow and ice a lot easier and safer. Micro spikes are much less expensive than replacing an expensive camera or a trip to the Emergency Room. Beautiful videography, Colorado has endless amazing places to see
From Ouray, go first to Silverton and then to Durango. It is a little expensive, but you can take a restored steam train round trip from Durango to Silverton and back.
I’ve never heard of crampons in my life until Kara and Nate’s most recent video, and now I see it on the sign in your video just a day later! Crazy how that happens sometimes!
I ALMOST moved here 13 years ago but decided there wouldn't be enough sunlight between those mountains each day, so moved to Canon City instead, next to the Royal Gorge. Ouray IS a lovely little hamlet tucked away in there, tho.
The video starts with a snowy slippery road on the edge of cliff without an apparent guard rail. People love building towns in a valley, like it will never rain.
In his book, Walk Across America, Peter Jenkins concluded that Ouray, Colorado was the most scenic place in America. I have been there a few times on crosscountry motorcycle trips, and I agree. Safe travels and fare thee well!
We so look forward to you guys on a Monday! This one was great, as always. Colorado, wow, so pretty. Thanks for sharing from the south of England, UK 🥰
Love the Ouray area; so beautiful no matter what the season. Yes, the road to Durango can be very dangerous especially when a TNM&O (then Greyhound owned) bus tries to pass you in a no passing so with no guard rails leading to certain death if you leave the road.
We highly recommend a little winter detour every now and then! We typically hate the cold too, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone here in Colorado so there's lots of people out and about which really motivated us to stay out longer. Plus, the snowy mountain views are pretty unbeatable 😍
While we were watching you climb the ice wall, we both thought at the same time, these two should be on The Amazing Race! Have you ever applied? We think you'd be awesome!
I was in Durango last year, what a cute town. Enjoying your trip to Colorado. Wishing you great luck finding a good property. Also when you get the old Girl Clementine back, I would love to see an old school RV renovation intro remix to introduce her again. Those were hilarious.
Try Cripple Creek Colorado, it's stunning and a fun gambling town. Old silver mining town. Are you guys still looking for property still or just checking out towns?
That is an amazing place, my son moved there when he had stage 4 colon cancer, I was fortunate to spend lots of time there with him . He spent a summer in Silverton as well. I unfortunately lost him Jan 2022 at 39 he loved life there until he passed!
I am so sorry for your loss.
Grand Junction is a beautiful town. One of my favourite places on our trip to the US. Mind you it was summer.
I live near Farmington, New Mexico on the Navajo Reservation. We visit Ouray quite often...such a magical place in the winter or summer.
As someone from Australia who hardly ever gets to see snow, everything is just so magical. Just walking around the town is pretty!
Great video, guys! One thing to keep in mind, it doesn’t matter what you do in these videos as long as you’re enjoying it. People came to you on UA-cam for one reason or another, but they stick with you because they like you. Keep enjoying life!
That town was gorgeous The mountains in the background and the cute main drag. Great job Ice Climbing... next stop Everest 🤷♂️🤣
Pretty much what I got in Dillon, Colorado, visiting from the UK. Colorado is stunning.
I’m so glad you guys stumbled on Ouray. I accidentally found that place while looking at maps for our western trip last year. I will say it’s one of the most amazing small towns in America! I compared it to Banff, AB, CA. The 2 are super similar!!
I just made the comment that it's like Banff!
This places so beautiful especially in the snow
As a Coloradoan, I'm glad you tried the Green chili (sauce). You will find it changes in every community. Personally I prefer it in Pueblo 😋
Good to know! So far we've added it to every burrito we've come in contact with. 🤤 We're so bummed this hasn't caught on in the midwest - we're gonna miss it when we leave!
Colorado is the best
Wow! You're in my backyard! How fun! Glad you love Ouray! Come back in summer for tremendous hiking and to do the Via Ferrata.
I used to live in Gunnison, 100 miles northeast of Ouray. Spent a ton of time ice climbing there. I love right here in Fort Collins Colorado. The Rocky Mountains are just as equally beautiful
My family settled the state of CO in the 1870s in silverton which is on the opposite side of the million dollar highway. thanks for showcasing such a beautiful part of my home and history!!!
Ouray looks like a town you would like to live in. Stay safe. Walk in Peace.
We have a little Bavarian town in our state of Washington. The town is called Leavenworth in the Cascade Mountains! Beautiful
I love Leavenworth! So fun at Christmas time. Summer is great too!
I've lived in colorado my entire life and Ouray is my favorite town in the entire state.
Thank you for sharing this with me. What a beautiful piece.
Always a fun watch with you two! Ouray Colorado is very beautiful 😍 🤩. Very entertaining video 📹. See 👀 you on the next one 😀.
Ouray is such a beautiful town. My grandfather used to have a house up in Ouray and it's beautiful in both winter and summer. There is also a little chocolate shop called Mouses Chocolates. They make their chocolate in house. And they also have the best scrap cookies.
I worked there for awhile. It was so poorly run it breaks my heart. So much potential
A home in those mountains sound pretty magical! We definitely felt like the town was stuck in time. Glad to know it hasn't changed too much 😁
We love Ouray! I am glad that you took the time to visit this beautiful place. The hot springs are nice but the road….. I am a flatlander and I have to admit that road scared me!!! It was totally worth it! Some people drive it every day. Unbelievable to me! Now I have to go back to visit this beautiful place. ❤

Yay for you!!
Alison's description of mountains was absolutely peak (pun intended) 😂
My most precious memory is My Mom taking my twin, brother and our dear Grandma in 1964 to Ouray and having eclairs on the corner ( I believe it was in the Elks building)
and seeing the Million Dollar Highway. We got to see her hometown Delta and Delta County and surrounding towns, in our travels. Have fun, the Western Slope is beautiful and has so much history.❤️❤️ Been following you two for a long time!
Oh awesome! We'd love to go back and see it in the 60s! Glad you have such great memories of the area - it's hard not too with all the amazing views 😍
Breakfast almost Lunch is called Brunch! Great video! Good balance of adventure, views and food! I see how you both stay fit and trim with all the hiking and now you can add ice wall climbing to your list of skills! Kudos to you both for conquering that.

Y'all bring it strong! This town was amazing. Congrats on climbing the ice wall.
Ouray looked like such a charming little town! Very cool that the climbing activity was just right off the road. Excited for your Durango trip next!
I knew you would love SW Colorado. Hope you ended up doing the entire San Juan loop, continuing from Durango to Cortez and then up through Telluride. You'll never want to leave!
We just spent last Fall 2022 for a week in Ouray - been there 4 times - it is beautiful.
Been there. It was summer. I fell in love with the place!!
Colorado's cold yet delicious. Proud of you making it to the top of the ice mountain.
Ouray is awesome (pronounced you-Ray) as a Denver resident it’s very remote but awesome.
We LOVE Ouray!!
Your day to night transition was slick.
Ouray is one of my very favorite places in the world 🌎 😍 Telluride is also amazing
Adore Ouray, we had the best time there!
I use to dream of moving there! I have found memories of sitting in a hot tub there looking at the waterfalls. LOVE IT!
It's not a question just wanted to tell you that I think you are gorgeous and you have such a cute personality . Whoever is lucky enough to be your valentine is seriously the luckiest boy in the world and I hope you get spoiled and have a great valentine's day
My mom lives there in town. It’s an awesome place. The Jeep trails are a blast in the warm months.
Best UA-cam couple out there provided us with another great video today to enjoy thank you
Also, check out Buena Vista (careful with that pronunciation!) and Salida (also careful with that pronunciation! They aren't what you think!) they are both cute mountain towns worth checking out.

Crested Butte is the best!
I love these kind of videos from you guys! Colorado looks so beautiful. I’m hoping you guys stay there and get a house, best of luck on this adventure
My gosh, how do I always manage to watch your videos when I am hungry??!! You've got me craving food from this little place off the beaten path way out west! lol. AND, coffee from a picturesque "snow globe" town must taste delicious! Mmmmmm ! Great video! The Adventure continues!
Sorry! If we could, we definitely would have shared our pancakes and burrito with you! 😁
Beautiful little town, thanks for taking us along 😊 luv from 🇨🇦
You made ice climbing look like so much fun. It’s been on our bucket list.
We hope you get to try it one day! It was definitely awkward at first but ended up being so dang fun!
Dinner at Brickhouse is absolutely worth it! the elk was perfect!
I love Ouray, the restaurant's and the Hot Springs.
“I fell.” It’s been a rough week so that very matter of fact statement had me laughing quite a bit. Ouray is one of the cutest towns!
Glad we could give you a chuckle after a hard week! We'd love to visit again in summer and really take advantage of the amazing nature there...hopefully with less falls and wardrobe issues 😅

It's one of our favorite places, anywhere. But - when you say the name think "Hooray!" e.g. you-RAY!
You should both get a set of micro spikes to make getting around on snow and ice a lot easier and safer. Micro spikes are much less expensive than replacing an expensive camera or a trip to the Emergency Room. Beautiful videography, Colorado has endless amazing places to see

Been going to Ouray since 1995 its my favorite place in Colorado
I’ve never heard of crampons in my life until Kara and Nate’s most recent video, and now I see it on the sign in your video just a day later! Crazy how that happens sometimes!
Oh random! It's probably a sign that you need to get our there and do some ice climbing 🥶
Thanks for bringing us along!
I ALMOST moved here 13 years ago but decided there wouldn't be enough sunlight between those mountains each day, so moved to Canon City instead, next to the Royal Gorge. Ouray IS a lovely little hamlet tucked away in there, tho.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! We love Colorado! What a beautiful state
The video starts with a snowy slippery road on the edge of cliff without an apparent guard rail. People love building towns in a valley, like it will never rain.
Hooray for Ouray. You two could eat for America. I'm amazed you never put on any weight. Great tour, I'd like to see Ouray in the summer.
With the climbing all the gear and no idea comes to mind.
"Why go to Switzerland when you can go to Colorado, no planes involved" well not if you're Australian, it's just as far haha
How beautiful! You're exploring parts of Colorado I've never seen. I hope you find your Colorado home ( vacation home?) in the perfect spot.
Thanks so much! We're loving exploring these new spots too! Western CO has totally blown us away. 😍 Glad we can take you along for the ride 🙌
I'll be adding this to the list of places to travel!
In his book, Walk Across America, Peter Jenkins concluded that Ouray, Colorado was the most scenic place in America. I have been there a few times on crosscountry motorcycle trips, and I agree. Safe travels and fare thee well!
We might just have to agree with him as well! We loved how perfectly it sat in between the mountains and that it was such a timeless little town 😍
We so look forward to you guys on a Monday! This one was great, as always.
Colorado, wow, so pretty. Thanks for sharing from the south of England, UK 🥰
Love it! Thanks for traveling along with us 🙌
@@Theendlessadventure you are our number one go to channel, we love your films 🎥
Allison you did awesome on the ice wall! 🎉 Yes, it’s beautiful but I can’t do that cold. Enjoy!
Very Nice Video
Thanks for showing the area and beautiful views. You have excellent guides!
Awesome cool beautiful video 👍❤❤❤🤘
Love the Ouray area; so beautiful no matter what the season. Yes, the road to Durango can be very dangerous especially when a TNM&O (then Greyhound owned) bus tries to pass you in a no passing so with no guard rails leading to certain death if you leave the road.
😳 very, very glad we didn't encounter any buses on our drive! Yikes!
What a beautiful place. I'm so happy to see you guys enjoying yourselves so much🥰
Ouray is the best!
Ouray is one of my favorites in Colorado. Take the Durango Silverton Train!
Durango is kinda like the "grown up" Ouray... Your going to like!
We going there in May after we do the train ride to the Grand Canyon. I can’t wait, there’s no better way to celebrate our 41 anniversary.
That'll be amazing! Early congratulations and have a wonderful trip!
Allison drinking iced coffee in winter what an ally ❤
Thems is some proper pancakes and gorgeous mountains!
My husband and I love Ouray!
We usually try to stay away from cold weather BUT this video has us wanting to visit Colorado in our van ASAP ❤
Hello Tenaj an Tino I miss you two 🤗😊
We highly recommend a little winter detour every now and then!
Oh my, we have not...we enjoy adventure, but usually in smaller bursts 😅 Love that you believe in us, though! Maybe one day 😁
On one of our trips to the US we passed through Ouray - a really beautiful town.
What a awesome place. Thanks so much for sharing your video
Visited Ouray many years ago on our family western trip and it was our favorite stop.
I was in Durango last year, what a cute town. Enjoying your trip to Colorado. Wishing you great luck finding a good property. Also when you get the old Girl Clementine back, I would love to see an old school RV renovation intro remix to introduce her again. Those were hilarious.
❤🌹🥀🌹Happy Valentines Day!🌹🥀🌹❤
Try Cripple Creek Colorado, it's stunning and a fun gambling town. Old silver mining town. Are you guys still looking for property still or just checking out towns?
amazing little town loved the ice wall climb who that food looked. good
Durango Doug is upset you didn't take him on this epic adventure.
Beautiful place to visit. And yummy food 😋 😍
