Cut the film in smaller sections. It's easier to work with. You don't have to worry about the plastic getting in the way (the part you peeled back) I love diamond painting. Been doing it for about 5 years or so.
I’m making my first ever diamond painting it’s 50x40 and it’s really relaxing what I do is I get a pen and make sections so everyday I can work on one of them that’s my trick 😊
1. I cut the plastic. 2. It doesn't matter how many diamonds you out in there 3. Maybe it's faster to pich up more at once but I've done 5 painting so far and I prefer always using the single side. Also the wax runs out slowerand you have more time to calm down
Parchment paper is a must for me! The plastic sticks to my arms, and once you get a lot on the plastic has no where to stick to, so I use Parchment to keep my arms from sticking to the sticky spots when I can't use the plastic anymore
Good tip peel it all off and put some wax paper over it, will help with three problems at once, first is that the sticky will stay sticky, second you can cut off pieces of the paper with an exacto knife controlling how many diamonds you wanna place and third makes the makes it easy to block off the sticky from your hair
My aunt got me a small diamond painting kit for Christmas, I brought it home and my sister and I both enjoyed making them! They were just little ocean animals, but we ordered some more diamond art along with some of the bigger tools I’m so excited for them to show up, I think it’ll be a fun hobby! Just trying to learn some tips before I start Thank you for the tips! Love your content ❤
Here’s something I do with my diamond paintings that helped me a lot so when you get your canvas get too pieces of parchment paper if you don’t know what it is it’s basically just baking sheets, once you have a sheet or two depending how big your canvas is peel the plastic on the canvas all the way off then stick on the canvas on you wanna get started you just take a little knife and cut the paper in sections. It made my experience way more fun
As a diamond painter, all of these tips are really helpful, and I recommend you actually start diamond painting too (if you have the patience lolz) I'm just jealous that you have that long applicator thingy because with all my diamond painting sets, I never got one so I had to put each Individual diamond in its spot (really time consuming, especially with big portraits).
I've been working on an owl one for a bit and is my first one. It's fun but as someone that had adhd irts difficult for me to do something for a long time 😅 So I've figured out that for me it's much easier to cut the protective plastic into small sections depending on the size of the painting
My first diamond painting was 40% solid background. Within the first hour I was using the multiple diamond side😂 It actually took a while to get used to using the single side because of it😅
I've done over 30 I find peeling a section and leaving the rest on so that when I'm not doing it I just have to put the plastic back onto the sticky parts of the section im doing so I don't lose the stickiness absolutely love diamond painting I got one that was 150 x 55cms and it took me a full week to finish
Tip: use baking paper! Use washi tape(painters tape works too) to divide it into sections, then use an exacto knife to cut on the tape so you can do smaller sections!☺️
Yeah on my first diamond painting I made all these same mistakes😂 but I also didn’t realize until the very end that that was what the back side was for 🤦🏼♀️
idk if i’m the only one who has this problem but with the applicator, i can’t use the wide side unless it’s to fit like 5 diamonds or less because if i do more i end up spending more of my time fixing and rearranging the diamonds than painting
ive been diamond painting for around 2-3 years and my biggest tips are: -invest in a big trey, it's so amazing -cut sections -take out the wax when it no longer picks up drills, and reput in the same wax(i save so much wax doing it) -lighting is so important -do not get small containers, you can get these little plastic clear containers that ppl use for like sauces, i use those. you can get big packs at stores like walmart or target !! -on your containers use dry erase/white board marker. comes off w water & a wipe !! (stickers make too much waste and dont last as long as a marker)
You can remove the whole plastic film but afterwards just stick a parchment paper on it then just peal off the smaller section of the paper that you're gonna eork with, girl!! trust me it's a lifesaver!!
Try Switching the plastic with parchment paper so its easier to see the part and try cuting squares out with a knife but not all the way so it doesn't Pierce through the diamond painting
As a Dimond painter a tip is definitely 1. Not to get a huge one when you are only a beginner. 2. Do tiny sections so you don't get to tired 3. Don't pull off all of the paper and leave it, it will get dry and it's really hard to get the diamonds on then.
I have Diamond painted so many things and they've been small things but once I had lost all the bags and stuff and so I just had to mix the colors together and just put them down because I couldn't find my gems for that color so I just mix all the leftover gems and added that and before I didn't even have a double daughter tool and it was so hard because I was supposed to be putting one by one and one and one I had done so many with only that and now that I have like a several daughter I can get a whole entire section done in a day
I'm about to finish the one my son got me for my birthday pre COVID 😂 my first one too! Taken me ages but I love it. It's dolphins and fish in a reef 🥰
I would recommend tracing the plastic with a marker and cutting it into sections so then you will not have to worry about folding the paper and you can just peel of the paper for a section and start working then once you finish one section you don’t have to peel off paper all together cause then it could get annoying and when sectioning it you only peel off a certain area.these are just tips I think will be useful when doing a project but I would really recommend 😊make sure to cut the protected paper
When you get the diamond painting canvas, pull the plastic all the way off. Put a sheet of parchment paper on top and use an exact-o knife to cut sections. I know it seems better to do one colour at a time but the canvas dries faster if you don’t section.
I love your videos so much you even inspired me to do a 2023 temperature blanket my February update will be a little late (ironically) but you can just click on this account and see the updates
You can use a knife to cut the plastic so you don't have plastic in the way it works great. You just have to be careful not to cut straight through all of it.
So I am looking to start really soon and I need to know from you cause it sounds like you got it under control. Do I want square or round? Do I just buy the kids with the picture or do I buy the whole caboodle kiss at first when you say or my waste of my time, I don’t knowto be relaxing because I don’t have one I could pick a kit right? Am I understanding that correctly and it’ll come with the tools to make the thing close to it
It's hard to get that many diamonds lined up perfectly though with the big part mine only does 3 at a time but I rarely have three lined up next to eachother
Link amzn.to/3l0S1ps
you can cut the protective sheet so youre not pulling big sections at once. its a lot easier to control when only little parts are exposed
Heck ya it is!!! To me doing the sections cutting and picking the part you want to do is like doing a puzzle!
That’s what I do.. makes it so much easier
Thank you for the info. I'm doing my first one. I really appreciate this.
diamond painting is so therapeutic for me
Cut the film in smaller sections. It's easier to work with. You don't have to worry about the plastic getting in the way (the part you peeled back)

I love Diamond painting, but if you want the fun to last longer. Use the smaller tool, and to make it cooler. Create a time lapse! ❤️✨
I have that design too! It came on a 12pk for $17. A light board is a real game changer. I love my A3! It was a $10 special on Prime
Good tip peel it all off and put some wax paper over it, will help with three problems at once, first is that the sticky will stay sticky, second you can cut off pieces of the paper with an exacto knife controlling how many diamonds you wanna place and third makes the makes it easy to block off the sticky from your hair
omg I just started diamond painting!!! im hooked.
Same tho😩
Fr I still diamond painting to this day ❤️😂
My aunt got me a small diamond painting kit for Christmas, I brought it home and my sister and I both enjoyed making them! They were just little ocean animals, but we ordered some more diamond art along with some of the bigger tools

I LOVE diamond painting. Be warned... It can become an addiction! 😂
the last one ??!! omg!! had no idea that’s what it was (mine is a little smaller and I just started yesterday lol) it’s so much fun!
Thanks for the tips!❤

I'm watching while completing my first one rn
I brought a diamond painting for Christmas but it only came with a one diamond at a time.oen 😅 I'm still excited!!🎉
Tyvm! I’m on my first one. 😊
Wow,I love doing diamond painting😊

Number 1 use parchment (or how you typ it) on the painting
Yeah on my first diamond painting I made all these same mistakes😂 but I also didn’t realize until the very end that that was what the back side was for 🤦🏼♀️
Samee..i spent so long on that painting because i was putting the diamonds one by one. All that back pain could've been easily prevented 😭
I don't have the big part😢 how can I get it?!?!??!?!?!?
Cut like a square out of the plastic
I'd rather place the diamonds 1 by 1, cuz it's more relaxing
👍 I couldn't agree more.
I got a diamond painting kit and it didn't come with the big one just the one for single dots :(
I prefer to do only one diamond at a time. It's not about speed.
idk if i’m the only one who has this problem but with the applicator, i can’t use the wide side unless it’s to fit like 5 diamonds or less because if i do more i end up spending more of my time fixing and rearranging the diamonds than painting
Only pull it all of if you have parchment paper to put on it
i have the same green thingy!
You can use a lot of diamonds just tilt it backwards and it will create rows
ive been diamond painting for around 2-3 years and my biggest tips are:

Thanks for the help
Try Switching the plastic with parchment paper so its easier to see the part and try cuting squares out with a knife but not all the way so it doesn't Pierce through the diamond painting
I will peel it all the way of anyways cause I normally tie my hair and put it in a super duper small ponytail when I do art
I cut wax paper into 4 pieces,it works much better than what comes in the kit.
Omg same I took it all the way off and my friend told me that it was supposed to be on the whole time so I put it back on and now it’s ruined 😅
You can pull off the plastic and put down non stick parchment paper.
You could cut squares of the plastic off
As a Dimond painter a tip is definitely 1. Not to get a huge one when you are only a beginner.
2. Do tiny sections so you don't get to tired
3. Don't pull off all of the paper and leave it, it will get dry and it's really hard to get the diamonds on then.

Thx for this.
But you sound so tired. I hope you get a good rest❣️
Omg I have done that before it’s so fun 🤩
OMG I NEED THE LINK TO THAT
I have that exact same diamond painting! 😊

I got the same one only its either blue or green butterfly. 😊
You should do more diamond painting vids
I got 16 diamond painting and I am doing one right now which is the high heel
i have the same one !!
One thing I’ve learned make sure you can’t tip over your gem holder
I am using tacky keeps it held down
I’m doing a huge turtle diamond art right now and I use tape to keep it down
It's addicting right!? ❤️
For my diamond art, I never got a massive side for the wax thing that sticks it on 😂
I have that exact same one 😂
Sadly, i dont have that massive part
You can use a knife to cut the plastic so you don't have plastic in the way it works great. You just have to be careful not to cut straight through all of it.

I can’t find these Big tools ANYWHERE! 😔 I want them so bad
I have seen them online at TEMU.
@@nolagranolabar thank you 😇
I had this but got rid of it half way done. Wasn’t satisfied with the result 😢
It's hard to get that many diamonds lined up perfectly though with the big part mine only does 3 at a time but I rarely have three lined up next to eachother
Where did you get the piece to pick up several diamonds?
Also a reason not to put to many, if you have the bags, its impossible to get the rest back in the bag and it ends up with you having wasted diamonds
can we get more diamond painting videos
I wanna know where you got that big one cause mine doesn't work.
Omg my mom bought me a giant one and me and my sis took like 3 weeks to finish
I did that too i peeled it all the way
Wait I want that one where did you get it?
I got one for Christmas and it didn't come with enough diamonds, so now it's in the box on my floor
Sahawntitasmith you love you too love you too ❤
I have a set that haves the one diamond aplicator its so hard with only one help😢
Mine doesnt have the big side so gl to me
I love dp
I litteraly thought that all of those tips were already very obvious until I read the comments, oh welp.
I bought that diamond painting
Man maybe my little tray things too small but it feels like nothing will lay flat on it, so annoying…
Sadly mine didn’t come with the bigger side😭😭😭
Mine don’t come with the big side of the thing (at least the ones I’ve had in the past)
How much did you pay for all of the equipment and the picture cause i want to pls
Where did you get that one?? I love it
Amazon! amzn.to/3l0S1ps
U should also buy resin pens and use bigger trays
Umm my first diamond art that I bought didn’t even come with a multi tool bit. Well that’s probably because it was from a michaels, but still
Uhhh😅 I’ve been doing diamond art for almost 3 years and I just peeled the whole thing off to force myself to finish it right now 😂😂😂
What is the name of this poster I MUST but it!?
( edit: the link is sadly not working)
It's on amazon
cinamon dong kakak
And to take breaks like every minute because your neck would hurt a lot after😅
You can get bigger trays!
Am i the only one who cant find the big part!??!?!?!😢😢
Where can I get one of these??
There are multiple websites, but one website that is good is diamond art club. They are a little pricey but they are very good quality.
Amazon! amzn.to/3l0S1ps
Amazon
Yesss I should’ve not pulled it off
Another tip use more than one tray if you have more and do multiple colours at a time
I do not want to be mean but they are actually called diamond dots
