They LITERALLY had no plan
Social media! Advertising! Buzzwords!!
Not one!
They had no idea bro
I agree.. these guys are way unprepared.
@@Fastxfords99 More like arrogant. Here's why. They seem to be in the notion that the Sharks will be confused with all the buzz words they're using. They seem to think that have a medical license that they have to speak at lower level for the Sharks to understand. Rule one: know your audience because the accolades don't mean squat.
For the first time Kevin was actually the most understanding and calm
Kevin just wanted to know how he’d make him money back and they couldn’t even tell him that lol

I thought doctors carried pagers so that they could be reached in emergencies. Why would a social media app for doctors allow them to get rid of their pagers?
That’s what i was thinking
Pagers receive signals in even the most extreme locations..smartphones don’t..this is a pointless app..also most medical practices have their own fb and twitter accounts where patients can contact them..they don’t need it..i’ve not taken the time to see if they are still in business but i doubt it
The whole pager bit was just used so they could mold the narrative of the medical field having such outdated tech. Of course they didn’t mention the legitimate reason why it’s still used. They just wanted that shock factor of “wow they still use pagers from the 80’s??”
Pretty sure they have cell phones now
@@Times397 pagers are still the most reliable..hospitals already have the infrastructure in place for them..the batteries last forever too..its a case of its not broke don’t fix it
These guys should be politicians. They can't answer a single question directly.
"SOCIAL MEDIA"
I think they are, they are just bad answers... It's not like they are dodging questions, it's more like they don't totally understand the question and definitely don't have a good answer, they have a loose idea and they thought that was a good answer
🤣
Like Brenden and Clintons
No. The fact is, they are doctors, not developers nor strategists. They had a great idea to basically try to centralize all doctors into one huge database where patients can find a doctor and hospital systems can communicate with them. it takes much more than just creating an app where doctors enroll to have their information input.
Legend has it they’re still trying to bring social media to the medical community.

Mark was spot on. The logistics behind this is very complicated and they clearly haven’t thought it out at all. It’s still a “surface” idea that wasn’t nearly vetted enough to sell the idea.
they're going to bring social media to the medical profession!
And more. Mark Cuban saw right through the buzzwords. The Armini brothers thought that the buzzwords would get the Sharks to invest. Their doctorates would give them an advantage for a deal. Mark Cuban saw right through that and gave them the message (like with any other business).

One of the only times where Barbara's reason for being out was valid lol
My thoughts exactly
Well even though she can give some pretty dumb reason's for being out. All she has to say is she doesn't think the business is for her like the other sharks. No matter reason they give its always valid, because they get to choose how to spend their money.
Whether she checks her watch and says: It's Tuesday, and 4 p.m., and I would invest but I don't make deals on Tuesday at 4 p.m. so for that reason I'm out.
Or, I love your product, you, and the sales are great, and I think we can make a lot of money doing this, but you're wearing a blue shirt so for that reason I'm out.

Most brutal “I’m out” I’ve ever seen 😂
The idea of bringing social media to the medical industry is so dystopian and terrifying
This system is used now. This was shot in 2009.
Also how is their product going to get rid of beepers? The idea they are presenting is a platform to connect doctors to patients, but beepers are devices that connect doctors with doctors
I agree, I honestly don't know what they were thinking. Beepers serve an essential purpose in the medical industry for doctors, nurses, and admins. There's a reason they've been around since the 80s; no need to take off your gloves to use them, easily accessible while wearing PPE, weeks of battery life, etc....
The beeper is the ONE thing they shouldn't have compared this product against.
For those calling out Mark for being mean keep in mind these are like 2 hour presentations that get down into 8 minute clips so it's fairly likely they were bumbling for a lot longer.
If I remember correctly it's actually 20 minutes, not 2 hours. Still though, that's 20 minutes of indirect answers, I can see why Cuban would get fed up pretty quickly
@@liquidstereomusic They've said it depends on the pitch. If it's clearly a gimmick or something uninvestable you're right it'd be 20 or so minutes. But on average it's much longer.
"We are not presenters we're physicians" Stupid answer of weakness.

Nah Marks reaction was warranted. These guys barely had a plan, and a plan that they did have was simply just bad.
not good logical thinking in FTX
Phase 1: Social Media
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit.
I like how only one doctor answered questions. The other, too scared.
Hospitals use beepers because they’re cheap. They’re also light weight, easy to carry, and the doctor doesn’t get overwhelmed with information.
For their doctors, it would be a nightmare to have patients sending them direct, instant messages.
Thats what I was thinking. A single primary care physician can have over 2,000 patients. Doctors are NOT looking to be bombarded by patients' texts. This is one of the reasons doctors have assistants. You call the office with your concern and they relay the message.
Mark: **Trying to understand the business**

😂😂😂 so true but doctors have big egos. They just assumed this would be gold lol
This proves not all ideas that seem cool while discussed in a small group of people are meant to be a Business! There is a reason most Doctor interactions happen in person (privacy). Most doctors are overwhelmed already and don't need to look for new patients or advertise themselves, so really don't know who they are targeting and how it would be a Business.

I am a physician and I do not understand their vision. Is it to attract new patients, converse with established patients, share interesting medical information, allow physicians to interact with one another? “Social Media” does not work well in medicine because of strict HIPPA privacy laws. Most people cannot see a physician unless that MD participates in their insurance plan which adds complexity to the equation.

I work in healthcare and unfortunately I see many docs that can not do proper presentations
They don't even seem to understand WHY they still use pagers.
People don’t like Marks aggressiveness but he hates scammers and people who waste his time. If you are approaching the sharks you need to have a solid business plan and something they can work with
I wonder if they’re trying to bring social media to doctors ?
Nah, if so, they would have said that
When I was in high school, in my “Intro to Business class” my assignment was to reorganize what Rolodox is and what it does from scratch. My group ended up making WebM with the ability to contact Specialists for any health related concerns.
People think mark was being brutal but this was perfect example in any field you need to be prepared, even if the pitch is bad at least you were prepared, this idea rn in 2022 is relevant a lot of doctors use it now, these guys who be the frontier if they knew how to present it
Mark was without class here. I don't care if their presentation was poor. He deserved a kick to the groin for it, because that's what he did to them. It's their first shot doing a pitch, and Mark did this because his ego was struck somehow. If he was trying to be funny, nobody laughed. No class.

Sorry, but when you have a product & you say that it's only in the alpha stage with only 50 users, then no it's not gonna go well. On top of that, I do agree that this can become a huge liability issue because of the fact that they're trying to get in contact with the clients without having them come in person and on top of that, there's a very good likelihood that someone can easily hack the system and 'act' like a doctor and easily fool someone into something that they don't need or want.

This is like the equivalent of someone buying a udemy course on making a facebook replica, and simply changing it to be with patients and doctors and calling it a new social media app. Recycling an already long done idea with no unique business plan or strategy to make themselves stand out. I could be wrong since I havent been on facebook in a decade but i wouldnt be surprised if some doctors create a facebook to essentually communicate with their patients
This is actually a great idea. The issue is that this product was out in 2009, back when most medical professionals were skeptical of migrating their services to the internet.

For a second I thought those doctors were going to need a doctor with how Mark sent them off.
These doctors are just like what I used to do when I forgot about a presentation and have to throw together something the night before. I usually start off very relax and try to crack some jokes to make people laugh, hoping that would help with my lack of content. Sometimes it works, but sometimes people actually listen and question things I cannot answer, and in those cases, I would be exactly like them, trying to throw some words out, and some professors/tutors dont take those crap and push me to a corner. And in the Sharks' shoe, I 100% agree with Mark, I would have the same question, but I won't say it in such direct ways. These doctors has this deep passion to change things, and all they want is to improve. But they have not throught the business side of things, they want to make things, but didnt think deep enough.
