"Do you want me to make a call to get your jobs back?" Kevin O'leary at his best. 😂🤣
Love him
I love him omg hahahahaha
They brough this on themselves. Saying your biggest competitor is something that most people have in their freezer right now was a very bad move.
@Jeff C I'm sure that was just a flat attempt to make a joke to break the tension. It just didn't work out that way. But if competing with ice was their wrongdoing, then can coolers wouldn't have been invented. Lol. It's a decent idea. I just think they should've made it so that it could hold at least 6 cans.
Plus, I didn't hear whether it needed to be charged like a phone or plugged into an electrical outlet. If yes, then that would be another drawback, depending on how long the battery lasts for.
@@isaiahpero7837 It sounded like it needed to be put in a freezer like a cooling pack. Which is why their closest competitor is ice. I get they were trying to be funny, but that works better in a commercial than when you are pitching to potential investors.

A great example that not everybody at Google and Apple are geniuses. Also saying they are not in it to make money. That’s surely something investors don’t want to hear 💸
Google and Apple don't say they only hire geniuses for every role, they say they hire the world's best engineers. These guys were not engineers.
Most people who work at Google are far from geniuses. Google, for example, has done nothing innovative for the past 10+ years.

So you have to replace a can every couple minutes, as well as find freezer space for extended periods of time? Its so much more convenient to put ice and all your drinks for the day in a single cooler that doesn’t require fridge space. The fact that they push aside criticism by calling it just “macho men on the internet” shows they don’t have an answer for it. Mr Wonderful was too nice, this product and pitch was awful
I didn't understand the can replacement part. So if you out this product in a freezer and put cans in after, it cools them? And you replace those 3 with 3 more warm cans it cools them too?

“You must stop this”
- Kevin, The Great
It only holds 3 cans "at a time!" So where do they suppose we keep the rest of the 12 pack? It's reasonable to use a cooler full of their biggest competitors "ice" and keep a whole 12 pack cold and take it with you, instead of 3 at a time.
You need to buy 4 then
In a bag
This. They obviously thought everyone at a 20 people party would buy their own... instead of the party organizer taking a crate, 1-2 sacks of ice, and keep everyone's drinks cool.
Even their "oh only alcoholics will outdrink this" is based on everyone having one. Unless this thing cools down at an absurd rate, you and your friend will take one each... 2 warm drinks, one cold... so you'd have to drink at a speed where the two drinks will be cold. But anyone who owned a fridge can tell, it can take a while for drinks to cool, so you're way more likely to have two lukewarm drinks and a cold one. The thing is defeated by 2 people, let alone mroe.
This was Kevin's best work LOLL
Wow! Mr. Wonderful tore them into pieces!!
Quit their good jobs to make a stupid cooler that holds 3 beers🤦🤣
As he should. Garbage ass product
Lmao… the entrepreneur said that they aren’t learning enough….. holy shit dude. $$$$$$ is where it’s at!!!
He told them to pieces in a very nice and gentle way. Let’s not forget his anger management classes.
They never mentioned how long it takes to chill a drink, was hoping to hear that especially since they told Kevin to replace his drink with another
Yeah i think thats super important. Like if its cools in 30-45min max, then it should work for single use no problem.
Idk if its just me, its its a two bottle or can buffer. I take one out, two are cold, now i replace a warm one with the cold one i have.
By the time I've drank and replaced my first and next two, the first should be cold again.
Kevin really makes the show. I love him!
2:11
Mr.Wonderful asked a basic question and they immediately belittled him. Yeah, 3 beers is nothing for a daily drinker. These tools probably get buzzed off of seltzers.
I respect their hustle but this is truly a terrible idea. I don’t understand why they didn’t think of all of this before they developed it
I think it has some merit, I like the portable wine chilling aspect. It's great for cans and small bottles of wine. Especially in hot climates.
@@gadgetgirl9 yeah, I agree with you on that.. however, that shrinks their market drastically. If they had no other option I’d get it but for them to throw away their 6 figure jobs for this was not smart
I completely agree, No practical use to me.
@@gadgetgirl9 imagine you go to a place with warm climate tho wouldn't you rather just bring a small cooler that can fit more than just 3 cans or one wine botttle
@Mr Ant not necessarily and I don't have to imagine I do live in a hot climate.
The funniest episode I have seen by far. I only started back watching these about 2 weeks ago and I have watched maybe 50. 😂
How is this different than a lunchbox?
I could put three bottles of water and an ice pad into any $15 lunchbox and it’ll do more over these guys.
Yep, and if you want you can pack lunch items also.
Oh I know you
That ice pack doesn't stay cool for 6 hours 😂
Maybe if it could make the can instantly cold from room temp then it would be a game changer.
That would be brilliant!!
That was rough. But to be honest, I think the cooler they walked in with to compare it against was better.
Exactly, the attempt at making it seem like a cooler has ever been a bad idea when getting a cooler and ice costs about 30$ and the cooler you only have to buy once
"It's a COOLER, pulling you in *hands waving*, *singing* "🤣🤣🤣
"We were not learning enough at Apple and Google"
the way he was walking in the beginning like a know-it-all, his stance and posture tells me everything already
“We could’ve been millionaires in a few years, but we didn’t want that” haha what
🤣🤣
Mark- "Congrats on what you accomplished" LOL
-"It's about learning for us, we did this to learn!"
-"Who's your main competitor?"
-"Ice."
That was pretty funny.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAH I died at that part
It’s amazing they made it this far.
When someone quits a super high paying job because they don't feel "fulfilled" that's an immediate eyeroll. It's a job, just do the work, stack the paper and put yourself in a good position. But if you quit to start a business, and 99% of all businesses fail, at least get funding and prove product/market fit BEFORE you quit!
I agree 100%. Pick up a different hobby or something on the side. These guys really through away major opportunities and look kinda stupid
I agree/disagree. When you have an actual skill then you have worth and are allowed to be happy doing what you do. You know your worth compared to people that work a 9-5 that high school kids can do
i hear working at apple is very stressful & soul sucking. Apparently they make it very clear to you that you’re easily replaceable
Some people put mental health, happiness, and work/life balance over making money. You don't get to take your money with you when you die. I'd rather enjoy my life than work it away for stuff that doesn't matter. I'm guessing you're a play it safe kind of guy who never takes risks.
that's a weird take. not taking these guys as an example, but quitting a job is still an option for anyone no matter how much you're getting paid. There's time and mental health not just money. If this is your line of thoughts, either you're driven by money or a boomer with "secure job" mentality.
"we coulda been millionaires in our early 30s"they wasted a blessing
1:29 Marks face...I knew it was all over. I thought the presentation was bad but now I knew I wasn't alone
They left their jobs and spent 2 years to come up with this crap of a product. 🤦♂️
This could actually work if it was for 6 beers and the production cost went down
So just get a mini cube cooler. They would have to much competition
Not with Yeti having most of the cosumers already
Yeah this would work if it was for 20 beers and it cost 2 dollars to produce
Can’t fit it in the fridge
It’s good for college kids
Their pitch was over when he said “stop wasting clean water” right after dumping 2 bags of ice on the floor in the most immature way possible
Omg 😂darn I didn’t notice that or thought of that
Hopefully they took the real advice and got their jobs back
i wouldnt hire them back if i was google or apple. clearly they have 0 critical thinking skills
This is the perfect example of coming up with what in theory could be a great idea but becoming so caught up in the idea that you lose sight of the reality (only 3 cans & cost) & refuse to stop going down the road to production of a losing product. At least its a great lesson for inventors.
but it never was a great idea in the first place, there are ton of portable coolers out there and these guys didnt do anything innovative
This was the Shark Tank equivalent to American Idol producers putting a bad singer in front of Simon Cowell on purpose.
This truly is something you get at a tradeshow for free at a booth... and then take home and never use even once
The opening of their pitch was pretty genius. Having the second guy be late and out of breath. But it's only holds three drinks. It needs to hold at least six, and that's not even great.
Their presentation was awful
2:14 They ignored the major negative feedback by saying it's cause of macho men on the internet. Even if you can put new cans there, you still have to carry the rest of the pack somewhere.
To those who think the sharks are rude, they just demonstrated why they are some of the nicest people around with how they tolerated these two. I was here fuming like Kevin.
1. The dumbest thing ever is to said ICE as your competitor. You can't compared a plastic product with a natural resource as a pitch. Let alone said it confidently.
2. Ironically, one of them is a sales person. Duh. Mark said it right, presentation suck.
Something that we can just produce from our homes, and they expect people to buy these oversized purses.
Btw they make this thing called a portable cooler, has a handle and everything. You can just take ice out of your fridge and put it in there along and fits like 8 cans probably.
But this is more "sustainable" 🤣 🤣 🤣
Omg that was brutal... absolutely brutal. I thought Mr Wonderful was tough but man... it's true though it looks like something that would be given away for free somewhere and then thrown away
Robert and Kevin are so right. “Our biggest competitor is ice” come on, it’s water
If this was made with silicon instead of plastic and advertised as something you could drop in your backpack when hiking or camping would be much better, they shot themselves on the leg comparing it to the regular cooler.
As a backpacker/camper, putting a bottle in a wet sock and hanging it works damn well.
It’s more convenient and cost effective to just buy a bag of ice and put it on top of your drinks than to just cool your drinks 3 cans at a time or one bottle at a time
Oh and they invented coolers with wheels over a decade ago so the heavy argument fizzled out a long time ago
This is the epitome of solving a problem that doesn’t exist
i wouldn't even say it solves a problem that doesn't exist, because this product creates more problems than anything a cooler or lunchbox does. I can't think of a single scenario where this product is more practical or feasible than a cooler or lunchbox
Lori: Who's your number 1 competitor?

🤣
Mark thinking: This guy really worked at Apple?
I guess I’ll take out the roast and chicken and put this there.
I think a cooler bag provides the same utility but with greater storage capacity.
The “it’s made to last forever” for a plastic container with a sleeve whilst complaining about plastic waste isn’t great especially considering the fact that you’d have to buy like a million bags of ice to equal one of those coolers worth of plastic lol.
