Calories & weight are not the same thing. It can help you lose calories, but if you're eating 4000 calories a day and are a sloth, you're not going to lose weight even with the help of a calorie blaster.

It doesn't cause you to lose weight because it doesn't increase your caloric needs, you can just eat through the supplement and still gain weight, so they can't claim it makes you lose weight since other factors are involved.

I actually use Pavlok to wake myself up, I am a really deep sleeper and I often sleep through even the loudest alarms and it made me constantly late for work, and I can use the shock on an alarm to wake up no matter what.

The last one was incredibly hilarious. Pavlov ourselves by shocking ourselves every time we're about to go towards a bad habit. But the kicker being that we have to press the button ourselves to shock ourselves. Basically just rebranding shock collars and other shock items into a watch-like wearable, ALL FOR $200 LOL. And they're exactly right, if you have the discipline to press the button to shock yourself before you start your bad habit, it's much easier for your brain to just decide "I'm not going to shock myself" instead of associating the bad habit with the shock lollllll

Also, there was someone on Dragon's Den years ago that pitched a real estate crowd funding company just like guy number 2 and Deborah called it out immediately.
I still just can't believe that so many people completely misunderstand Pavlov's work... His focus was Classical Conditioning. But one of the key findings of his studies was that positive reinforcement is far better than negative reinforcement in nearly all cases, and while it takes longer to have an effect it leads to much longer-standing and beneficial effect. But everyone misunderstands it because they were never taught how his experiments with dogs actually worked, and negative reinforcement can sometimes lead to an "improvement" in behavior. That third product is absolutely ridiculous and has no scientific basis to prove it's legitimacy.
pavlok is positive punishment, not negative reinforcement, but yes you are correct. punishment is less effective than reinforcement is.

I understand what he was saying it is blocking the macro Fat not potentially cutting Body Fat. the macro Fat is responsible for more calories so that being said if you can block them from hitting your digestion then yes you are subtracting calories and could lose weight from that. Part of that is I don't think it's legal to make that claim without studies that verify this particular product works. Anyone investing can be legally liable for that. I think he explained that well when he went out.

I think the last segment proves that a valid concern to consider before going on Shark Tank is whether or not you would be willing to do business with all of the Sharks because he burned a horrendously large number of bridges with that move

I had something like Pavlok for compulsive hair pulling. It was called Keen. Good idea but didnt work for severe and truly mental cases. (Not just running your hands through your hair nervously) You would train it to recognize the motion that your hand is doing and it would buzz you so you didn't do it. But you didn't have to buzz yourself that was the whole point Except for it's an actual mental illness and compulsion so you can just ignore the small vibration.
Mark Cuban knows how results should look like in the field of medicine. Gotta put some respect on this man.

I can actually kind of understand how it would help. If you're doing something you shouldn't be, like nail biting, you'll usually eventually realize you're doing it. If all you do is stop at that point, that won't do anything to prevent it from happening in the future. If you instead also shock yourself at that point, your brain will start to associate nail biting with getting shocked. That being said, it's much more effective if someone else is doing the shocking. The bad behavior can be caught faster, and the shock will actually take place during the bad behavior, instead of after it, which will help the brain correlate the two more.
I know Mark comes across the wrong way at times, but I think he cares. No one wants to see their colleagues get scammed in front of them.

that story also shows that he may be able to sympathize and understand those who might fall for scams, which would explain why he dislikes Cuban's overbearing/"arrogant" attitude towards it

Tycoon is actually not a scam idea. I do understand the reservations about the lead investor, but the same things could have been said when mutual funds were created. You need to have someone get the ball rolling on publicly traded real estate.
Right, the second one is not a scam and it's insulting to call it one. It's a business model based on a law change that empowered consumer investing. Crowd sourcing is very much alive and well and if you do your due diligence it's totally legit. (I have done very well with it!)
