It was an oiling issue. I'll be tearing it down and salvaging parts, I'll survey the damage and pass the pics onto @texashondachannel if he wants to share them
I can somewhat understand not wanting someone to paint multiple cars in a residential neighborhood but fixing cars seems pretty ridiculous to report. If I ever saw my neighbors working on a car, I would be trying to help, not turning them in to the city. Yeesh
Ive been putting off the engine/trans swap on my Element last one was hit, kept it and found a clean replacement just with a hole in #1 piston and its an automatic.
Awesome work brother! I had a question about the honda mtf you used does that still work for older transmissions like d b or f series or did they change formula. I read that syncromesh is better for old stuff now but idk.

You must have missed a lot 😂 for 3+ years they been reporting me to the city over stupid crap. I’m not in a HOA but the city of copperas cove is corrupt and love money and that’s another fine reason we are out of this corrupt place. No worries it was a means to a end anyways

Bought from a friends’ adult son and his wife. It’s been well cared for. 159k miles. Did the routine maintenance. Excluding the valve adjustments. Can’t pay the shop $500 and I’m not sure I should take on the task.

My element sounds like a diesel and trans sounds like it’s very quietly banging at idle. Steering also throws me all over the place 😂

Yup that’s next on his list but that’s a simple fix. Just needs new sensors
That clear effex paints same one I did my intake and laced my valve cover with n some other parts as well
This is different paint but yes it’s basically the same type of stuff

Bet thats the easiest way to do a swap or either changed clutch pull motor n tranny out
I don’t like dropping subframe on these because you can mess the alignment up so for me personally this is easier

Clear effex. Goes over a black base but can do on other colors as well. Iv got some videos of it on my channel on some different colored parts
