8th gen si’s have that front mount. With the stiffer mounts do you think the front will be necessary. Anyway the r18 front portion of the subframe don’t have the bracket welded on to it for a front mount of the motor.
Ive done this swap twice and Just wanted to say about in regards to the power steering the fd2 civic in Japan comes with hydraulic system. So I used rsx type s pump and custom high pressure line on the stock rack. With the second one I did I used the fd2 high pressure line on the same pump and works great.

I was also thinking of maybe trying an eg k swap power steering kit on a rsx pump/accord pump to see if that would work also , but haven't had a chance to test them out yet.

Other than the EPS warning light, I'm not sure the cluster is necessary. Have you looked into the wiring to see what it does? I would think there is also an EPS brain box. But I haven't looked at all the details yet.
Did you know the Vigor engine was supposed to go in the original S2000? It's too wide to fit in the Integra with any of the FWD transmissions. RWD swaps are rare and I just don't see the value in that much fabrication for an unsupported engine.

yeah after my research i think im gonna go with a k20a build , k24 would be ideal but for someone who hasn’t done a swap yet the k24 sounds like it’d be more of a headache to make happen without all the proper resources on hand , k20 however seem like plug and play for the most part , obviously still need si parts but as far as making personal modification to make the parts work together it’s little to none compared to the k24 🎉

Couple of things. The K20A Type R engine we have comes from an 8th Gen Civic in Japan. And like the US K20Z3 it isn't plug and play. The mounts are different and the wiring is different. That is why we are showing this.
Is the process the same for sedans? I know the rad is orientated different on sedans to coupes so didn't know if there was more I was missing in this. Otherwise great video
Hello Brian. I have recently swapped a K24 into an 8th Gen SI. Just like many people, i am running the Skunk2 Alpha header and ran into the clearance issue with the header hitting the bottom of the firewall. I made a quick solution with spacing the rear mount out with some thick washers. Take a look ua-cam.com/video/O_gsjBquhTo/v-deo.html I was wondering if you had a solution for this? Maybe you can make a bracket that will bolt right up against the oil pan to prevent this problem for others who are swapping K24 blocks into their 8th gens? Thanks
The correct solution would be to make a new header. doing any sort of mount change would change the angle of the engine. That isn'g horrible, but it isn't ideal.
The problem is we are in a working shop that had a CNC mill running in the background all the time making products for sale. I've always said, if it were for the customers, things would be much easier. But then that has other problems.

You would need to add the 06 Civic Si oil pan and a modified 06 Civic oil pump.
I've got a euro civic fn1 with the L13 engine a k24 swap will be ideal for the chassis!

Use an SI wire harness with an SI gauge cluster and SI ECU .. that way you can run the electronic steering

Man i been actually wondering why the R series gets no support.
The rods are very thin. There are aftermarket ones available but the K makes so much more power effortlessly. Plus the K outnumbers the R by 2 to one.

The oil pan and oil pump. You'd need a modified 06-11 Si oil pump or get a JDM CTR pump from the FD2.

The mount kit Hasport is developing will work. You will need the 02-11 Si oil pan and oil pump though.

We will do that next. The engine we put in is hurt.
It will be a lot easier to just buy a real si, I get the weight savings stuff but the si has better reinforcements in the suspension and subframe.
Other than the engine subframe which can be had for $150-250 I'm not sure that there is much more stiffness.

That is another solution. But the Accord only has 160 HP, and it weighs more!
