I highly doubt the swap from Kraven to Multiverse was spurred on by anything other then Sony Execs realizing they could use Spider-Verse to set up other spin offs without looking dumb. Marvel likely agreed cause it would give them an in story reason to boot Tom Holland if need be.
To be honest, i hope they release literally all the deleted scenes they shot, and make an extended version of the movie in dvd and bluray and announce Spiderman 4 already, with Tom Holland and Zendaya in it. Need her to remember at least by the end of the movie.
I wasn’t against seeing Tobey and Andrew’s Spider-Men with Tom’s Spider-Man in a film, as I thought doing a multiverse crossover film with them seemed bizarre AF for me. As I thought Far From Home had set up No Way Home as a film to resemble Harrison Ford’s The Fugitive with Peter being on the run as he’s trying to clear his name after Mysterio framed him. Though they did an amazing job pulling it off!
I was hoping they'd bring back Liz from Homecoming. Now pissed that Peter is the reason her father is in jail and more pissed that Peter is now dating someone else. She finds her father's vulture suit and sets out for revenge...
The identity reveal didnt even play a major role in the film, it had no big consequence as it was brushed off as just a mild annoyance and Peter didnt even have to fully deal with it since he immediatly went to Happy's apartment to hide, it just seems like such a waste of an interesting plotline with lots of storytelling potential tbh
If you don't talk about the scene where Tom describes him daredevil aunt may and happy sitting around a table talking about what it means to be a hero I'll riot
Interesting. I thought Jon Watts wanted to make the Kraven movie but Sony overrode that and made him do multiverse stuff. But it looks like the other way around. Sony wanted to do Kraven until the deal was back on, and the creative team was able to do their original plans of doing multiverse stuff.
Yeah and should be noted that when Jon said he wanted to use Kraven, the deal was already broken, as Feige stated the deal ended while they were working on FFH, but it wasn't known to us at the time
That has me thinking if No Way Home would be like Harrison Ford’s The Fugitive, with Peter filling in Dr. Richard Kimble’s shoes in clearing his name while avoiding the police and Kraven being Tommy Lee Jones’s character going after Peter like Jones went after Ford.
someone already did a reaction to no way home and they went into detail that they created 7 new branch timelines because they pulled each villain at different stages, like with goblin that was before the final battle

What about the deleted scene where Dr. Strange explains that he's got the flu so if his judgment, use of magic, and general demeanor seem off, don't worry he'll be back to his usual self by -the next movie- next week.
To be fair he was in character, people seem to think that Dr Strange is a lot more careful and responsible than he actually is This is the dude that spent his entire magical education breaking rules and doing things he’d been told not to do after all
Ngl, although I really enjoyed No Way Home, I think i would have preferred a more grounded movie and save the inter-dimensional stuff for the next one. I feel like even now we haven't really gotten to know Tom Holland Peter Parker as much as I would have liked, since a lot of his movies were highly dependent on other very well established MCU cross-overs (Tony Stark in Homecoming, Nick Fury/shield in Far from Home, and now Dr Strange/Previous Spider-men & Villains in No Way Home). I think my ideal Spider-man 3 for Tom Holland would have focused on the line that Matt Murdock said to Peter. Something along the lines of "You still have to win your case in the court of public opinion," And have Kraven, or another villain make peters life hell (lots of property damage, and maybe some innocent bystander casualties), all while Jameson is on a witch hunt to destroy spider-man's image. Then next movie find some reason to open the dimensions and let the other peters come in. It looks like we may be getting those things in spider-man 4 (whenever that comes), but I can't shake the feeling that I would have really liked to see it as the third Tom Holland Movie. All that being said, I really enjoyed no way home. As a movie it works and it works really well. This was basically just me sharing my hopes, knowing that probably nobody will read this, but hey, at least I have these thoughts off my chest now.
I think this movie might actually be ideal for your hopes. This movie set it up for the next trilogy to be about a grounded Spiderman not tacked on to all of the other heroes he knows. Hell, they don't even know him. It's *just* him and his court of public opinion with Jameson.

It would have been cool to go in blind not knowing about the universe hopping characters, but there's no way that could've been kept a secret even if Molina and Foxx didn't say anything. Probably a good thing too. It wouldn't have had as much hype.
Definitely a movie to add to the list of "movies I wish I would've seen totally blind"
If they really managed to convince us this was a Peter Parker vs Doctor Strange movie and then all that multiverse stuff came in anyway it would have been the greatest trick in movie history and I would have lost my damn mind
The bridge scene would’ve sent the entire fanbase insane
Gosh, that scene of Tom’s brother being cut from the movie broke my heart, you know how disappointed he had to be that he went through all that and never made the cut?
And just how he "was really excited to be in a spiderman movie"
im legit crying
Poor Andrew Garfield (I keep saying his full name just so he knows that I know it), the only one with a career big enough to keep being in interviews he had to lie in. Alfredo Molina got 1 interview and just dumped it all. Andrew Garfield should get a raise.
My favorite fact about the new Spider-man is that Tobey McGuire is technically older than the Doc Ock in this movie. I think the character died in his mid 40's and Tobey is currently in his mid 40's. Imagine you black out underwater to wake up in a strange new land and find out one of your students is now your age. That would fucking wreck me.
He seemed pretty happy for Peter all things considered
Am surprised the extended scenes with Charlie Cox weren't mentioned. Apparently, it was filmed and hopefully it will be part of the home release.
Definitely. In about 2 months right before doctor strange is released they will release a directors cut to build more connection to MCU and bring back interest
well, it has been announced that they'll be releasing an extended cut of the film maybe the missing matt Murdock scenes will be added in that
"Crap?"
No no, we should cut that
"...shit?"
Perfect!
Henry Cavill should’ve had a mullet
#MulletForSuperman
There was one previz picture leaked of the prison Strange made for the villains (which resulted in the VFX artist who leaked it to be fired) and Lizard had his purple pants in it, and I do recall rumors that he was going to be fully clothed and with a full snout but of course, he didn't look much different to his TASM 1 design in the end.
i was so happy they got charlie cox to return as matt murdock. his performance in the netflix series was great. although it would have been hilarious if they got ben affleck to do it.
Ironically, when Andrew first appears in the film, the lighting on his face is so strange it DOES look like a "Photoshop".
Probably had his face replaced on the stunt double.
Alot of this film felt this way lol.
@@Anthonycheesman2024 I'd chalk it up to de-aging
@@MrJans3n youd think with how much they spend on this movie it would look perfect lol.
@@Anthonycheesman2024 Well this film was also produced during the pandemic, which could have limited how many people could be on set at any time, leading to some less than perfect green screening
Thank you for digging all this up! Very interesting. I'd definitely watch a sequel to this video down the road.
I dont understand why you guys dont get more views, while shit like new rockstars gets millions every vid - you guys are naturally funny without a script and I appreciate that a whole hell of a lot.
It really sucks that they cut the scene where Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield made out passionately. It would have been so hot tbh
I highly doubt the swap from Kraven to Multiverse was spurred on by anything other then Sony Execs realizing they could use Spider-Verse to set up other spin offs without looking dumb. Marvel likely agreed cause it would give them an in story reason to boot Tom Holland if need be.
Writers :"Wouldn't it be great if these two villain could do this"
*concept art of Norman and Otto kissing*
To be honest, i hope they release literally all the deleted scenes they shot, and make an extended version of the movie in dvd and bluray and announce Spiderman 4 already, with Tom Holland and Zendaya in it. Need her to remember at least by the end of the movie.
I appreciate how passive aggressive the "they all die fighting Spiderman" section was. Excellently done.
I can't believe Aunt May turned out to be Madame Mask AND Mephisto
I think your consistency in uploads and quality has moved you to my favorite UA-camr! 🙏🏻
If you don't talk about the scene where Tom describes him daredevil aunt may and happy sitting around a table talking about what it means to be a hero I'll riot
In Norwegian chips are called "Potetgull", literally translating to "potato gold".
Yeah and should be noted that when Jon said he wanted to use Kraven, the deal was already broken, as Feige stated the deal ended while they were working on FFH, but it wasn't known to us at the time
Kraven was the back up
That has me thinking if No Way Home would be like Harrison Ford’s The Fugitive, with Peter filling in Dr. Richard Kimble’s shoes in clearing his name while avoiding the police and Kraven being Tommy Lee Jones’s character going after Peter like Jones went after Ford.
God, imagine the universe where we knew next to nothing about this movie
Yeah, Sony rejected my unsolicited concepts too😐
Not sure why there wasn’t a Spider-Man: Turn off the dark cameo… a singing and dancing broadway spider man would have gone down really well.
Awesome video for the day after Christmas when I just wanna sit on the couch
someone already did a reaction to no way home and they went into detail that they created 7 new branch timelines because they pulled each villain at different stages, like with goblin that was before the final battle
You’re talking about new rockstars? Lol
If would have been better if Thomas Hayden Church and Rhys Ifans could have actually filmed scenes on-set. They had to reuse footage from SM3 and TASM1 and only get VO lines
COVID made it hard defintely
@@SadikiStGeorgeangemon44 Oh definitely, I understand completely, it’s just sad they couldn’t :/
Chips are called "patatas fritas" here in Spain
Movie was great but could have had Nicholas Hammond from the 70s movies made a cameo like Lou Ferrigno did for TIH.
That would have been neat.
I’m good
Cheers for catering to your international audience in the UK James, helpful to break down the language barrier
3:03 BUT(T!!) I feel so blessed... So much bigger than usual, too. It must be a late Xmas prezzie from Collings? *Gushing* Thank you, thank you, thank you! Insant like! (Well, not really *instant* like, is it? Over-3-minutes-in like, rather.)
I’m hoping that they use the Kraven storyline for the next movie or at least in the next trilogy. Need him to have a lion’s face vest in all its glory.
that opening quote is really refreshing, considering how many shows/films (especially franchises) are ruined because the ppl making them just don't give a shit
What about the deleted scene where Dr. Strange explains that he's got the flu so if his judgment, use of magic, and general demeanor seem off, don't worry he'll be back to his usual self by -the next movie- next week.
To be fair he was in character, people seem to think that Dr Strange is a lot more careful and responsible than he actually is
This is the dude that spent his entire magical education breaking rules and doing things he’d been told not to do after all
Always down for a mr Sunday Sunday 5:50 am video
I actually saw a silhouette of Kraven in the purple portal thing, not sure if that means anything but I thought it was interesting.
Yeah, when everyone that knew Peter Parker was Spider-Man from every universe was coming through. I really like that they put him in.
8:43 imagine if they actually pulled this off though. That would’ve been amazing
Great video guys!
I really hope there's a matt Murdock "Peter Parker, stop talking, I'm your lawyer" scene.
Charlie Cox’s small cameo as Daredevil in this movie was amazing. He’s a really good lawyer
The lizard did look better in the amazing series....somehow
All the marketing I saw for NWH was a civil war between strange and Spider-Man.
This was a really good video
the kraven the hunter shooting a lion from a great distance joke was really funny, lol
In Brazil we call chips Salgadinho, good luck James, I'm sure you're really good with the pronunciation of foreign words
Israel uses the term chips for French fries, its really weird.
Your whole country is weird.... Oh sorry its not a country even
Cannot WAIT for the video where James lists out all the words for chips!
Where the hell is the uncle Ben rotting in hell scene
Gotta love that Spider-Man's real life brother is called Harry. Like Marc Webb directing Amazing Spider-Man
Ngl, although I really enjoyed No Way Home, I think i would have preferred a more grounded movie and save the inter-dimensional stuff for the next one.
@@LucolanYT for sure. I’m super excited about it. I guess the big complaint would be that for a team up of Spider-Men, I wish I knew Tom Holland Spiderman better before the movie.
In New Zealand we call chips "Sharty blart fasts."
I will never get over the stupidity that is casting a popular Spider-Man villain that you plan to use later on as a guy who previously played a one-note, not-quite-fast-enough Avenger in the same universe.
*3:35** The other woman in this scene from Spider-Man 2 is now one of the stars of NCIS New Orleans. And she doesn’t look like she aged a day in this film from like 20 years ago*
Dane Dahan Goblin didn't know Peter was Spider-Man until AFTER Electro died
thanks for the "crisps" shout out
Thanks for using the correct term "crisps" for us in the UK
No way home being a movie about peter being hunted by kraven, scorpion and the rest of the mcu sinister six would've been great too.
Me and many others who were seated near me in the cinema also noticed that they deleted the little scene where dr strange winked at Peter
6:54 WAIT I JUST REALISED the fabricator thingy that makes clothes and stuff, a similar machine was used in the secret wars comics to introduce the black suit, and sequentially, venom, what if that machine is how they do it in the mcu? now that a drop of venom is still there
1:33 I call them crunchy-crunchy-crisply-wheelies and we consume them on New Year's eve night, between 9 PM and 10 PM, GMT, no other time of the year. It's tradition
My country calls chips “potato toe nails”
In Malaysia chips are called 'Keropok'.. so, you better mention it !
I'd imagine Happy took her to Stark's grave at a version of the ending and neither of them knew who Peter was.
7:59 Aaron Taylor Johnson, as in MCU Quicksilver? So are we not getting Quicksilver ever again or is he just gonna be recasted?
the Graham Norton show audience track was pretty obvious during the 'Awwww'
I remembered we were supposed to get Kraven in this film before Aaron Taylor-Johnson was cast in the solo film.
