Love your work man, thank you! I spent all day working on a composite node setup, and you solved my issue thank you! - I couldn't get the sky environment texture to show up alongside multiple render layers when using transparency as it is see-through, and had to use weird workarounds until you showed me the 'environment' render pass. Working on a short sequence (basically just a car speeding down a road and seeing a UFO) - I want fog in it but my laptop is forcing me to learn about render layers, but at least now I can work smarter and denoise/grade different layers (or export certain layers at a much lower resolution). Have failed many times to render my best work because that part got too complicated... If anyone reading this is working on a similar animation/short film and needs a Blender file that has the nodes all setup for rendering efficiently/being super organised, I can share it, just comment somewhere on my channel. It's optimised for importing all the layers/render passes into Davinci or After Effects and compositing there.
a video from 2 years ago still managed to solve.a big issue I've encountered, very instructive! thank you
I still don't know if this is the right way. But I haven't found something else..

Thanks a lot for the help my man!
You saved my ass here, thank you :D
Thank you my friend
Thank you so much! Lo ♥ ♥
nice video! any idea how to do this with a bg object? somehow I cant get it to work. e.g. with a studio panel bg.
Maybe with Compositing on seperate Render Layers:
