Both trucks are absolutely incredible. I've had both and both have distinct and unique advantages. At the end of the day nothing tows like a Ford Super Duty.
Your dollar is what's lost its value. Along with some corporate greed. Why not charge the mark up right in the MSRP? OEM's got jealous of dealers during Covid.
He's also showing you the price of a 3500HD and the Denali Ultimate, not just the Denali. A 2024 2500HD Denali is $85,685. So, it has gone up $7,465 in 4 years - $1,866 per year. Which is still disappointing, but not that extreme and absolutely in line with inflation on everything else. The interior upgrades are easily worth that alone, but also the HP and torque have improved over that time.
You are right friend. Denali and platinum and limited used to have way more options. Like wood trim on steering wheel. And a 6.2 gas on half tons with AWD option. Now they are all the same. It’s all just diff trim colors and color match bumpers and grilles. That it. On ford. It different interior colors. That’s all. Ppl are suckers.
@@benjamincoon3158 Upgrades? Like what? Hp and Torque? Hardly makes a difference. A bigger screen? Gimmick, Everything else is the same. WAY overpriced.
@fit4ya1975 Lol, if you think the interior upgrades are minor, that is laughable. It's a night and day difference. The interior was extremely outdated. But, while you say the HP and torque are minor, that increased towing capacity from 14500 to 20k plus (for the Denali/Denali Ultimate trim). I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the interior is specifically why I didn't buy a new one, I stuck with my 2017 because it was the same. I'm now going to get the 2024 Denali Ultimate or wait until October to get the 2025 depending on what updates they make. But they also improved the leather and included real wood in the interior (again, a real upgrade imo) the seats now have a massage feature (you can say it is a gimmick, but I quite enjoy it). So, maybe the better way to say it is, if you have the money and purchasing a 90k vehicle isn't a problem, those upgrades are worth the additional 7,465 from 2020 to 2024. Especially when you consider, adjusted for inflation $78,400 in 2020 is the equivalent of $94,981.14 in 2024. So the fact that it has only gone up 7500, instead of 16,581. The real bitch of the equation is the interest rate that you could've gotten in 2020 (if you financed) compared to what you would get in 2024.
A couple of things I've notice on my 2024 Chevy LTZ 3500HD are, the transmission temperature is displayed, when tow/haul is selected and the turning radius is improved compared the 2020 GMC Denali 3500HD I traded. Great videos JB!
I must say your reviews are concise and have a seamless flow that's easy to watch. You present the facts in an unbiased way and it's apparent from your videos that you know what you're talking about and not just reading off the spec sheet like other reviewers.
I work in truck accessories, and I will say the GMC Denali pretty much does everything it can to make sure installing bumpers, light bars, aftermarket fog lights, or really anything is nearly impossible for consumers. I’m talking custom tools that the average Joe installing stuff won’t have. The ford you can install with just a handful of tools in most cases.
You can modify a Denali Ultimate or a Denali to have an offroad bumper and a winch. There is the GMC SLT, AT4 and lower trims that can have anything installed. I am not sure what you are talking about.
Great video JB! I agree that the GMC looks better and has the nicer interior, but I own something that GMC does not have, and that is a truck with an awesome turning radius, the F-450.
I just bought a2024 f-250 xl, my opinion the truck has enough options for our needs. That said how can anyone justify paying double the price, does anyone need all these features for driving 15,000 miles a year! If anyone is using a truck to drive commercial buy a OTR
Very informative videos, Thanks. I don;t know if you have done it but, can you do a comparison between a Ram 3500 Limited and a Ford F350 Platinum or Laramie vs. Lariat?
GMC for the Win! The GMC has the Transformer look. Fords look better in Platinum Tremor trim package. Limited is $10K overpriced to say it's Limited to whomever wants to buy it.
The looks of Ford trucks are very bland. The GMC wins in the looks area for sure. I think the GMC wins all around, but the power stroke is hard to beat IMO for power and MPG. I love the Ford seats, but GM wins everywhere else.
Nice video, but you were biased. For example, you failed to point out many negatives on the GMC such as the column shifter blocking a portion of the screen when in drive. Also, when you went over to the center console in the Ford you neglected to open it to show how easy it is to access items below the tray. In the GMC you have to remove the tray. Also, to unlock the doors from the outside, on the Ford you just grab the handle, it will unlock and you can open. On the GM, you have to push the button on the handle, then grab it to open. Lastly, maybe I missed it, but the GMC does not have adjustable pedals...I think you left that out too. Overall a nice video but I think you left out a few major downsides on the GMC.
I can't answer this question without saying both but the thing is I don't li,e the refresh for the ford limited I would have went for the 2022 model year with that being said I would have taken both but the ultimate would have been first
After 3 Duramax trucks I went with the 24 f350. A lot of the reviews from this channel helped me make that decision. Three months in I realize I made a huge mistake. Found the ford takes on water with a driveway car wash. Floods the passages side floor.
They did not collaborate on the HD 10 speed, only the 1/2 ton. There is a video of a GM engineer differentiating that and that they only worked with Allison on the HD 10 speed design.
You'd think after all these years, you'd have it right by now. They absolutely co-developed the HD 10 speeds with Ford using beefier internals. The GMC self driving is sick, the GMC (and Chevy)and the ram have definitely proven to have the more reliable engines in this era so for me those are way to go
It's nothing new this is an example of how a free market works. I agree the inflation in 2024 is out of control but you can still get a 24 F350 XL Supercrew 4X4 with close to the same capabilities for $54,000. It's not like these are the only options for a 3500 series truck these are examples of the most expensive vehicles they build at whole.
Why do people make such ignorant comments?? You don't have to buy a truck with all the options...and it has nothing to do with the country falling apart..

The GM interior on the seats looks good, great contrast on the stitching but they need to bring color into the dash and door panels. As to towing, Ford wins and I know that having both in our fleet both gas 7.3 and 6.6 and both diesels but not the hi-output on the Ford. Driving around town the GMs suspension is about 10% smoother but not as controlled with a heavy load. Rear seat height is better in the GM. Storage is 3 times as much under the seat on the Ford. The sunroof is twice as big on the Ford. Massage seats if you want to go there are great and when you order the max recline seats you get additional pillow padding on the seats on the Ford.
