@@jackyfan I have both, if there is interest I can make a video of it. To be honest, the 1" isn't what I thought it would be. It's pretty big and bulky and I haven't seen the wow factor compared to my previous X3. haven't played with the X4 too much but I'll test the 8k on it today and really compare and see if the 1" sensor really is that much better in daylight. I know at night it's definitely better.
@@PepesTowingService There’s already some comparisons on UA-cam. It seems like the initial influencer reviews entirely avoid the topic, and now it’s pretty clear. The 1” sensor provides great low light performance but otherwise the x4 (a cheaper camera) devours the RS 1-inch in almost all other categories. No wonder they don’t want their sponsored reviewers to even talk about it to avoid cannibalising their more expensive camera.

Hey bro, congrats on getting married! This video was so fun to watch, especially seeing all the different places you traveled to. The 360 footage is amazing and it really makes you feel like you're right there with you. Overall, this camera seems like a great upgrade from the previous version. The 8K footage looks amazing, and I love that it's waterproof. I can't wait to see more of your adventures with the Insta360 X4

Lowlight is much better on this X4 than the X3. Still can’t believe there’s no 10 bit or LOG from Insta360, such a strange philosophy.

@@cheeeeezewizzz it’s become the industry standard. You can hardly colorgrade 8 bit footage. (Won’t stop me from trying)
But even a LOG profile in 8 bit with standard color space transforms would be better for dynamic range. Isn’t that the point of throwing 8k into a 360 camera? To make it the most versatile tool possible?
Definitely think insta needs a lot of work to become a more professional camera company. 10 bit is a must for anything but novelty specialty shots

Congratulations! I really appreciate this analysis - the gist I'm hearing is that 360 is potentially ready for core communications work given H265, 8K, color, etc. Very helpful thank you. Also the tripod prototype at NAB was very cool to see in person. I appreciate this fantastic work thank you! The wedding idea is crazy! imagine if your grandparents had this technology, you could put on a headset and be at your grandparents wedding looking around at everyone. You will be able to relive your wedding as if you are there again. Far more interesting than a high end wedding video.

Am I the only one who sees this? The x4 footage looks really soft, almost softer than the x3 comparisons here? Super weird. In all other reviews the x4 looked much sharper. What settings are you using? Are you not using some sharpening feature that other reviewers have been using? It's really noticeably soft in every single shot here.
best first impression so far with actual footage and shots unlike others that's all talk.
