So far, I never got goosebumps watching a synth review or demonstration video... But you were killing me softly from 08:33 onwards. Amazing job - if I'd be living in England, Bonners would be my 2nd home. Love and light from Thailand - keep up the great work, Tony!!!!!
Beautiful- I love it when performers explain and play to demonstrate. That's a winner for me. Please send me links to more of your videos. This was a fabulous video.
Everybody was putting this keyboard down for whatever reason. This is the best demo I heard on this thing so far. Spend some TIME WITH IT; this is the results! 🤨🎹👍🏾
@@leesimeone True. I rather wait and deal with a company that KNOWS and built the Jupiter, than deal with the unknown. Behringer may up the game, but I'm leary about the synth part.
Synth choir pad: this is how I check how good a synth is-> pads❤ and what a fat, broad range deep and clear pad, perfect for big stages/ live performances!!
That sounds great actually. Much better than I expected. Beefy, yet crystal clean on top in that Roland way. Even though I’ve come to love my Roland FA-06, this is much more of what I was looking for.
I have had my Jupiter X for nearly a month now, and I am loving it. After watching this review, if I did not already have one, I would definitely be wanting one now. Great review!
Great demo! Finally a demo that really shows the amazing sounds this synth machine has. Had a Jupiter-8 back in the day, had to get the Jupiter-X. It's a Jupiter-8 times X-10:) Lovin it!!! This demo inspired me more to enjoy this great instrument! Keep the demos coming.
Wish we had one of your shops in the North east! We don't have anywhere that has that amount of pro keys up here. It's nice as a pro player to walk into a shop and have the pro kit you guys have. I must board a train in Durham and head down to one of your amazing shops. The UA-cam video uploads are superb too. keep them coming !
Well I'm sold. Really balanced, well put together video . Top quality . UA-cam is a bit of a swamp when it comes to keyboard reviews. This was great. Might check out the store now.
Oh yess! I love the sound of the Vocoder! Just uploaded a song with the Roland VP-550 Vocoder. You can find it on my channel and its called 'Love me land & Slow Grenade Mashup!' Thanks for your video and the description! ♡
The 10 year old kid in me mispronounces the name upon first glance and starts snickering...then the video starts playing. That shut me up pretty quick. Great demo!
It is first time what I'm hearing analog synths & gears and real instruments but watching on digital instrument ;-) Excellent work Roland! I'm still waiting for the answer from Korg and other... :-(
Great video. Could you please include the patch names that you use when Demoing your synths? Makes it much easier for us Jupiter X owners to find the killer sounds you use. Great Job ! :-)
Hello and thank you for the video. Ive dream of having a jupiter 8 since i was 15 years old, and now this amazing item have it all and much more from the original. Does it have any recording/sequencer options?
Wow I'm getting one. I have a yamaha cp88 that I'm using for gigs but it's soooo big and heavy and I have to bring my sub 37 aswell and I hate the load in. The cp has amazing piano and E piano and clavs, but the organ and symth sounds are pretty icky. But the piano sounds aren't bad and I do need some poly synth stuff so this will fit a lot of bills for me. Also I don't need 88 keys for rock/funk/and r&b stuff. You actually being able to play just made me sold on getting this. Was gonna get a prophet rev2 but this just does more what I need! Thanks!
That was an awesome video!!! Was wanting a Nord but not sure now!! Lol....have a Korg CX3, Kurtzweil K2000 and an Alesis QS8 but the kid in me wants more toys!!! Lol...great job...thanks!!!
Hi dear fantastid demo ......... but ........ I bought the jupiter x after listening to your demo just for the super trumpet sound. The only problem is that of all the memorized sounds, the trumpet you play in the demo, I have not found it even by scrolling through all the memory banks of all the keyboards .......maybe trumpet arrive directly from ROLAND CLOUD???.............................. help Please could U tell me how do I find the trumpet you use in the demo. Thanks a lot Piero ITALY
I have several Roland keyboards. This sounds awesome, but while my Roland's became damaged over time, my Yamaha keyboards work fine. But this is very impressive. I having mixed feelings about my Moog Matriarch while my HS-60 actually play music instead of making cool noises !
This is pretty much what my Integra 7 does, except this has keys, panel controls and made to lookey-likey a Jupiter 8. The small display with shiny screen over in the left corner is "inspired". Just what you need when battling with stage lighting.
Looking seiously at the Jupiter-X - I have run out of audio inputs on my interface - can I use USB to connect audio as well as midi to Cubase on this synth? Thanks.
Does the Roland Jupiter XM make these exact sounds? I am considering an XM as a compact desktop synth which I could control from an 88 note controller when I want to.
How much would you recommend this synth compared to other synths? also How many sounds come pre-installed on the synth? I always like it when I sit at a synth instrument/keyboard and there's a whole variety of library pre-set sounds to choose from and ways to customize the sound, even to the timbre/motion of the sound itself..
Hey there. Interesting Keyboard. It's a duck-billed, egg laying, wooly cow with utters and the speed of a horse thrown in for good measure. But I wonder who needs one at that price. Don't get me wrong - the Juno DS has all those sounds as well - just in a "cheaper" package ;-) Anyway, dude I've been wanting to say this for the longest time: you could be a Mark King doppelgänger. Cool :-)
Which modeler is he using to to play the piano; organ, and brass sounds? I was under the impression that this synth is not a rompler... Also, @ 12:58 when he begins layer the strings with the piano, the audio becomes very compressed sounding? Is that UA-cam compressing the signal or is does the synth-patch sound like that??
The acoustic piano at the start(rd-0001) is not at that preset on my Jupiter X, possibly moved by the 1.30 update, can anyone tell me where it is please?
This channel has one thing that none of the others can touch... that stellar level of musicianship and playing!
I see so many people talk shit about this Synth but it honestly sounds incredible
They need to dig out all the shit jammed in their ears first, that may help them change their minds!
Huh? Why would anyone knock the Jupiter? It’s a classic. Everyone I know loves it.
Examples? Where?
the thread on the gearspace for example. lots of folks poo'ing on the X. overviews like this are helpful since he can actually play@@MUFSpoiler
Just go take a look at most comments in UA-cam videos related to it. I would say anything up til about a year ago were exclusively negative
Finally, a demo with someone who actually knows how to play piano!
Yeah, on a decendent of the Jupiter-8 synthesizer. Great idea! ...not
LMAO! 😁
This chap actually learns how things work before sticking demo/reviews on UA-cam. He’s clearly a working muso as he has all the chops!! Superb review.
As usual this is one of the best demonstrations of a synth/keyboard on UA-cam.
A really excellent overview of just a few of the many usable sounds in this keyboard. This was extremely helpful. Thank you.
8:28 This is soooo good! I wish it went longer. Thanks for a great vid😊

Best Demo So Far Spot On

Superb demo of the sounds often overlooked. I really wanted to just hear actual and regular piano, organs and the such. Thank you!

Because a lot of peps cannot afford one so they jump on the Behringer wagon

holy shit, all that and a vocoder too......wow

this is the best demo of the Jupiter x !!!!

What a clean, cool synthesizer sound! Nothing superfluous.👍
I think you make the best real-life scenario demos. Thank you!
Thanks for your demo Mark King
Roland Synth and Pads are the best!
Fantastic sounding keyboard. Grew up on Roland gear. May be time to revisit. Thanks for the live demo
This demo helped me decide and Jupiter X is on its way!
Pretty music and compositions.
Yes it's nice to hear some real keyboard sounds, thank you 🎹😁👍

Nice to finally hear it demonstrated by a proper muso. My candle is re lit. Everything I wanted to know. Thanks :)

Very nice demonstration, thanks!
Yes, nobody else is demonstrating these particularly banks of sounds.
Wish these organs sounds were in the RD-88. Great playing as always!

I really like how you layered the Vocoder. It's not over the top and pushed back in the mix. Nice work!
great demo- yeah i never thought about it- this instrument has many other features besides synth features. Thank you for diving deeper into this.
Tony needs to release a vocoder-based album….he’s right at home with that effect 🧐😆😳😄😯
Great demo and sounds. Thanks for trying to add something different to the demos out there.
A really well made and professional overview. Nicely done! Thanks so much.

hi :) thx for the video :) do u prefer Korg Nautilus or Jupiter X ?

Super nice demo. Is it the same RD sounds and feel in the Juno X as in the Jupiter X ?
Would I be able to use my Arturia Keylab 88 to control things like the pianos, and clavs while playing them other sounds on the Jupiter?
Yes most definitely. I've just uploaded a video tutorial concerning MIDi remote control here: ua-cam.com/video/nL2cnTXppok/v-deo.html

Hi. Does this board allow you to save your own patches and scenes?
The Jupiter Xm is perfect for live venues as well. To me the X is a studio keyboard due to its size.
