This is one of the greatest books ever written, and it has simplified my life immensely. The key is pulling out every single item and doing triage -- deciding which category things are in, a good filing system, and great unified calendar system. Closing loops remove so much junk from your brain and frees up so much time for self improvement, hobbies, going back to school, enjoying life so when you are done for the day, you have real peace of mind! The fact that writer has advised CEOs and CFOs so they could have a real personal lives tells you how much this process has been needed -- and his experience with them is available to all readers for the price of the book (less his consultation fees!) Mandei um exemplar pra meus filhos no Brasil e nos EUA algum tempo atrás (e todos sempre reclamam que precisam ser mais organizados rsrsrsrs).
I have never read the book, but ended up with quite a few of the key elements of this system by default. One thing GTD talks about that most task systems forget is the difference between collecting tasks, organising tasks and actually doing them. You need a system for IN as well as OUT. I am a Notion fan so everything gets dumped into my task list on Notion and then I organise daily and weekly on different levels.
Gotta ask: how long did it take you to get over the Notion learning curve? And why should anyone use notion over eg an outliner app? Or things, etc. thanks.
This is amazing! I hope you can keep up with it and a baby! That’s a whole other productivity issue 😅 If you need a great community of supportive entrepreneur moms, we’re here for you! Congratulations! ❤
Thanks for such a clear video and overview of the key items of the book! I am myself currently reading this book as well and you are entirely right: reading it helps assimilating it! In parallel, I have been already implementing some of the steps along the way. Little question: do you use this system on paper or do you digitalise it entirely? And if it is on paper, would you have any recommendation on how to do it (one single notebook, loose cards, ...)? How do you do it? Thanks again for your helpful and encouraging video! :)
I create the essential lists on sheets of paper and organize them in a binder (it can also be a notebook with a ring, ideally you can add or remove pages, change the order, etc.). Sorry if it's not understandable, I don't speak English. I used Google Translator.

I wonder this myself too I get a free premium notion account as a student so I want to use it but it seems so hectic
Excellent and concise. Thanks!
