Hey, this has nothing to do with this video but...I had a awesome thought, and wanted to see what you guys thought about it. I loved the coloring book but I think you should make a Snake Discovery 12 month Calendar!! It would be so neat. Every month a picture of one of your animals. Rex, Cheyenne or Doug, I think it'd be cool and you would sell a lot of them. Just a suggestion ✌😊🐍🍫🐢🦎
@@anyabutkovich3158 dude, a morph is just a color variant of whatever species that it is. Not every snake species has different morphs(as they might not have been bred to have them), but the wild ones or normal ones are just called normal or wild morphs, I believe.
This little creature usually comes to our house and our reaction everytime is to put it somewhere far away from our house cause the smell it sprays. Ewh.
They're pretty cute. Kinda in the same way that a tailless whipscorpion is cute with its very long feelers. But then your eye notices the long tube at their bum and your reptile brain goes _Stinger Alert!!_ even though it isn't a stinger. =)

Fedex and Amazon are severely underpaid compared to USPS and UPS. So I tend to have a better shipping experience with the latter but of course this all depends on the specific driver. I just know UPS and USPS have a lot more to lose.
And even then he didnt seem to even slightly recognize that what he was doing was a problem when he was told directly that he was handling a live animal

I just got done having FedEx also spin my animals while they're handing them to me! He was originally holding it sideways with the arrows on the box pointing down the road instead of to the sky. Then when he walked up to me he spun it real fast and circles in his hands and then thrusted it out to me. Looked like he was trying to be cool despite the fact that he was being a complete dumbass while the box says live animal on it.

I’m pretty sure the whites tree frog escapee has a bacterial infection (the dots), it’s been more common lately, likely due to higher humidity (whether its the location or just spraying too often). I have Whites tree frogs as well, thankfully I have yet to personally experience bacterial infections

I agree. I work for UPS and so much of our internal system is automated that boxes get flipped, crushed, and slammed around by the mechanics of it so much that live creatures sometimes get to me upside down. I’m always careful with the box myself but they aren’t handled by attentive humans for the entire trip, a lot of it is automated and from what I know of fedex they’re even worse (I’ve had a few friends who worked at fedex)
I'm glad FedEx was so understanding about the incident. Usually people aren't as compassionate about snakes because they're not as widely seen as good pets :(.

I loved it when people called about their reptile shipments.. They seems thrilled (or more surprised in some cases) when I showed interest in reptiles. I loved asking for more info on what type of reptile specifically, and often got to have a very nice conversation with them. My co workers on the other hand were not so keen on reptile calls, and thought I was nuts. We don't often get calls for that, though. Usually just to get more of an eta on delivery.
It is true how snakes are not seen widely as good pets but there was NO mention of that on the box just LIVE HARMLESS ANIMAL so even if it was a snake or another animal it should have still been treated with respect
im not saying that it was ok that the fed ex delivery guy spun the box, but I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose. He was probably on autopilot and didn't even read what it said on the box. I love animals and I'm not defending him but I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose.
I can understand why most delivery guys treat the boxes poorly if you've ever seen the sorting process. It isn't gentle. The general philosophy is that you should pack whatever it is securely enough to toss the box if necessary. I'd be pretty nervous about shipping any live animal with FedEx USPS or any other normal shipping.
The majority of delivery drivers are often overworked, underpaid, and (more than occasionally) employed by third party that offer little to no benefits. I am not defending the actions of this particular driver, but things are the way they are.
Actually the escapee was one of the ones jumping around, you can tell because the escapee was a bit bigger than the others and the calm one had light bluish green spots on its head, which the larger one didn’t.
I had a similar incident, I bought a bearded dragon and a tortoise from my friend and she went ahead and shipped them to me (covid reasons) and the fed ex man that delivered it spun my box like how urs did then when I ran out (because my friend asked me to take good care of them I was trying) I yelled at him like those are two live animals, (a cape tortoise and a bearded dragon) and he said sweet, and legit *threw* the box at me, that dude is so lucky I'm a nice person because if I wasn't I would've sued, my bearded dragon had passed out bc he was spun and my poor tortoise had a scratch on her shell from hitting the floor, I was furious. I reported him like six times. (Thank you guys so much for the support)

They're found in various parts of the world, but the giant vinegaroon is the one normally kept as a pet because it's the largest species and easy to acquire as they live in the United States.

The second package, I had no Idea What the heck that “snake breed” was so I was guessing. A vinagaroon is a very unique “snake” name I was curious. The frog bit reminds me of that one episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender where Aang has to get frozen frogs for his sick friends to suck on and the frogs start thawing and jumping away from him.

PLEASE LIKE SO EMILY CAN SEE! I’m pretty sure the whites tree frog escapee has a bacterial infection (the dots), it’s been more common lately, likely due to higher humidity (whether its the location or just spraying too often). I have Whites tree frogs as well, thankfully I have yet to personally experience bacterial infections

I work for UPS and so much of our internal system is automated that boxes get flipped, crushed, and slammed around by the mechanics of it so much that live creatures sometimes get to me upside down. I’m always careful with the box myself but they aren’t handled by attentive humans for the entire trip, a lot of it is automated and from what I know of fedex they’re even worse (I’ve had a few friends who worked at fedex)

I loved it when people called about their reptile shipments.. They seems thrilled (or more surprised in some cases) when I showed interest in reptiles. I loved asking for more info on what type of reptile specifically, and often got to have a very nice conversation with them.
My co workers on the other hand were not so keen on reptile calls, and thought I was nuts. We don't often get calls for that, though. Usually just to get more of an eta on delivery.
That's no excuse. It doesn't matter if you like them or not, its a live animal. End of story.

I can understand why most delivery guys treat the boxes poorly if you've ever seen the sorting process. It isn't gentle. The general philosophy is that you should pack whatever it is securely enough to toss the box if necessary. I'd be pretty nervous about shipping any live animal with FedEx USPS or any other normal shipping.
The majority of delivery drivers are often overworked, underpaid, and (more than occasionally) employed by third party that offer little to no benefits. I am not defending the actions of this particular driver, but things are the way they are.

HILARIOUS how the escapee from the box was so CHILL whereas the OTHER 2 were jumping every which way!
Actually the escapee was one of the ones jumping around, you can tell because the escapee was a bit bigger than the others and the calm one had light bluish green spots on its head, which the larger one didn’t.

I had a similar incident, I bought a bearded dragon and a tortoise from my friend and she went ahead and shipped them to me (covid reasons) and the fed ex man that delivered it spun my box like how urs did then when I ran out (because my friend asked me to take good care of them I was trying) I yelled at him like those are two live animals, (a cape tortoise and a bearded dragon) and he said sweet, and legit *threw* the box at me, that dude is so lucky I'm a nice person because if I wasn't I would've sued, my bearded dragon had passed out bc he was spun and my poor tortoise had a scratch on her shell from hitting the floor, I was furious. I reported him like six times.
