What a unique and special experience to have your hero's open up in front of you after all the years of listening to them/ seeing them live etc. Very special! You seemed to do ok on the geordie accent as well! Excellent stuff!
I just watched the Apple Music interview with Angus with Brian from the same time, I thought the same that Angus had never been so talkative and articulate.
I’ve been a diehard AC/DC for over 30 years. I think I’ve seen every interview. This is by far the best interview of AC/DC ever done. And what respect they have for Dean! (There is no way they would’ve done an hour if they didn’t appreciate him.) Fantastic, Dean. Well done!
ACDC have always been wary of the press & as an 50yo Australian , I know why. However, I believe since Malcom's passing, the band is now Angus's to run and he is obviously happy for the chance to open up. It was always Mal's band and he didn't suffer fools. Great to hear the boys back together for another effort.
After the really bad few years that Angus has had losing George, Malcolm and his sister Margaret he’s looks so relaxed. This is a great interview, Angus looks so happy to be back talking about the band.
I’m only 21- AC/DC has been my favorite band for the last 7 years, and everyday I’ve played AC/DC, I have all the albums, 30+ shirts, 3 concerts on DVD, an autographed guitar pick, 4 posters hanging in my room, Bonfire, Live (single CD, 2 CD set, Cassette set), and my first cassette was Back in Black, an original 1980 released one I paid 25 cents at a garage sale for it, I’ve played it many times and it still sounds brand new, and what made me fall in love with the band was their Iron Man 2 soundtrack, and the same day I got Back In Black I found Let There Be Rock and Powerage on CD (different sale tho) and I remember the first time listening to those albums and I was blown away because they were raw, hard, albums that kicked ass and a few months later I found Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on cassette (original 1976 release) from a thrift store and it was like 75 cents, took it home and I was home alone one night and I was listening to it, because I only knew the title track none of the other songs and I LOVED them, they blew me away like Let There Be Rock and Powerage, and from there I knew I loved this band and I knew I had found my band. And from there I found For Those About To Rock, Blow Up Your Video, Ballbreaker, and of course Rock or Bust, and now Power Up and every album in between, from the very beginning, and I’ve even found rare live recordings on UA-cam I saved before they got taken down, and when I was in 9th grade (2013-2014) when I was just starting to get into the band, my cousin and I would get in his crappy little car and go drive around the country all night (I live in Midwest USA) and listen to his Black Ice CD for a few years, and I have all 4 versions of the CD, but I love this band and I think it’ll be my favorite band for as long as I live, and for homecoming week at my school my junior year there was an impersonation day where you dressed up impersonating someone and I dug out a pair of shorts I had, my dress jacket, and button up dress shorts, grabbed my broken guitar hero guitar controller, taped AC/DC’s logo on it, put speakers in the jacket pockets, and I was Angus Young for that day and I was in choir and in choir my class wanted to see me give a small performance so I went around the room for a couple of minutes going full Angus and it was great, and I could go on and on about the band and how it’s changed my life and how losing Malcolm changed my life, and how I’ve been longing for this new album before we knew it was coming!

Been following the band since 1979. Read/heard/seen MANY interviews with the lads. This is THE best one ever!!! Well done, all. Again, great job, Dean. Hello from Croatia.
My father lives close to Brian and he really is a nice and genuine down to earth guy in person as he seems on videos. I've been a fan since 78 as well and did a report on them in my 7th grade English class. It was the first and only time that I actually enjoyed doing a report for school and got an A! I'm beyond happy that they're back and can't wait to see them live again.
Followed Dean for years since he first came on The Church w/ Uncle Joey.. to see him get AC/DC & Judas Priest in the same week after slugging for years is testament to hard work/true passion. Congrats Dean. We all love seeing your dreams come true!
Millennial, here. What a magical interview. Truly. Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ll never forget being mesmerized by AC/DC for the first time as a 12-year-old watching the ‘Live at Donington’ concert. The rest is history. They’re my favorite band, by far. Hoping to catch them on a tour if they’re ever able to, after this COVID nonsense, and would love to shake their hands some day. They are the true, orthodox, hard rock ‘n roll band. They’ve stuck to the formula that works and that people love. And, it also seems like the guys are pretty awesome, and down-to-earth, especially Brian and Angus for generously putting up with so many fans over the years. Thanks again for sharing; what a rush for you - and for us AccaDacca fans. Cheers!

hearing the story behind these guys is just amazing, you're the luckiest guy in the world!, being able to do a casual podcast with Brian and Angus is just incredible!
I am a lifelong AC/DC fan - they've always been 'there' for as long as I've been on this planet (and before !). Honestly, this is the best interview of Angus & Brian I have ever had the privilege to listen to. Well done Dean, I think all the comments below show that people all around the world (greets from Paris!) are unanimous & speechless at what is simply the most open and interesting exchange with A & B EVER !!! Columbia should put you in charge of their PR, ahahaha ;-) ! Anyway - amazing, thank you SO much, you hit it out of the park (and with Cliff too !) - you should be very proud & I think we all know you are - and rightly so (and very happy to have discovered your podcast through this too!). You've given so many a little bit of light in this shittiest of years - roll on the album ! Thanks so much, Ax
With seeing the guys and how humble they are and they are legends to the world population. I am thankful for the social media updates they are doing for this new album too.
And I saw AC/DC first in Southampton, UK, in Nov. 1978, just over 3 months after the Oakland gig. We're privileged to have seen them at this stage of their ascension, they were incredible. Incidentally, I was at Bon's last Highway to Hell tour gig too, also at the then Southampton Gaumont, in Jan 1980... Ride on Bon, Mal and George
I remember the first time I listened to the back in black album. I felt like I just discovered I had a super power. From that point on I was obsessed. I learned every song and every solo on the guitar. Stopped playing my strat and saved up my allowance and bought an SG.
This is without a doubt the best interview with brian and angus.....they are usually penned down by journalists that dont know the band.....so give yourself a big pat on the back mate.....also that photo in 85 FOTW tour......bravo pal
Aw that was brilliant, I'm actually in tears at the end love them so much what a great interview, highly emotional I'm so happy they are back its like a dream ❤️ in a time of nightmare...... RIP Malcolm gbnf genius x
That was fantastic, I doubt any of general fans have seen Angus so relaxed. Just finished the cliff Williams podcast, so great to hear their stories being told. But it's your choice of questions which were awesome, not like the media but like a fan. Brilliant man well done 🤘
Grew up with AC/DC thanks to my Big Brother Kevin who came home with a Brand New Portable record player and the Brand New High Voltage Album (Australian Version in 1975) then he would bring home all there new albums (Australian Versions) after that as they came out. Kev used to say to me that Bon was amazing. Kev passed away in April 1981-But i thank him to this day for Bringing Home the AC/DC records.
It has been a long way to the top because of ROCK AND ROLL and the entire world has and still is deeply entranced with all the epic tracks that have been part of all of the bands ups and downs to never falter from the music that rocks multi-generations all at one time which is the most POWERED-UP ELECTRIC BAND ever !!!! AC⚡️DC !!!!
I remember hearing a conversation between my older brother and his friend Rick , who were in a band together and rock fans with a passion for music. My brother said ' have you heard the cat that is singing for ACDC on the new record? - he's like Dan McCafferty ! ' I didn't know til years later who ACDC or McCafferty were but I eventually found out that my brother was right .
Dean: This is the first podcast I have ever watched from you. This was an incredible interview. I can only image how nervous and excited you had to be. I also agree 100% with you regarding those 1st 2 LP's with Brian being monumental records. I also agree with you about Spellbound; it is such a powerful track, and a great ending to a fantastic album. Cheers to you :-)
Thanks so much for this! I've been a fan since 1980. Seen tons of specials, documentaries, interviews, etc. But just sitting down for just an hour like this with questions from a pure fan and just really shootin' the breeze is just about the best. Really just hanging out with Angus and Brian. Well done! I salute you!

How long have you been a fan?
31 Dec, Sweet showing.👍
thank you
Made my day! Hearing Angus speak more openly and distended was wonderful. Great interview!
With seeing the guys and how humble they are and they are legends to the world population. I am thankful for the social media updates they are doing for this new album too.
awesome, congrats on getting these two on your podcast. Fun to see the kid come out in you for an hour, had me smiling the whole time.
Who on earth could thumbed down this! This is great Dean congratulations.
Finally the video version yes. Hope to get one of these for Cliff as well.
The best interview in AC/DC history, well done!
thank you
And I saw AC/DC first in Southampton, UK, in Nov.
Great!
Leyends never dies!!!
AC/DC POR SIEMPRE!!!!
LARGA VIDA AL ROCK&ROLL !!!!!
Have you come back to earth yet Dean? What a great interview. The love is so genuine.
I remember the first time I listened to the back in black album. I felt like I just discovered I had a super power. From that point on I was obsessed. I learned every song and every solo on the guitar. Stopped playing my strat and saved up my allowance and bought an SG.
the best interview Iv heard in ages! Cheers form Croatia ;)
This is without a doubt the best interview with brian and angus.....they are usually penned down by journalists that dont know the band.....so give yourself a big pat on the back mate.....also that photo in 85 FOTW tour......bravo pal
Totally blown away! The guys really opened up and the vibe throughout is awesome. Job well done all around, cheers!
Aw that was brilliant, I'm actually in tears at the end love them so much what a great interview, highly emotional I'm so happy they are back its like a dream ❤️ in a time of nightmare...... RIP Malcolm gbnf genius x
So fucking great, Dean. They are LEGENDARY and I'm feeling very grateful for this band still being around.
The GODS of rock and roll.Love them.
Awesome 👍😎
thank you
That was fantastic, I doubt any of general fans have seen Angus so relaxed. Just finished the cliff Williams podcast, so great to hear their stories being told. But it's your choice of questions which were awesome, not like the media but like a fan. Brilliant man well done 🤘
Thank you so much my friend
Dean deserves this...such a sweetheart guy.The very best.
AC⚡️DC !!!!
Dean, you're like a farmer - outstanding in your field!! Thanks for this.
Truly the best interview ever! Thanks very much! :)
This is great, man who else but Dean Delray has these fkn great podcasts.
Watching this again! Best Podcast Ever
Dean Rules⚡

Awesome to see Angus and Brian with Dean!
Angus with his cup of tea quietly chatting and next thing wearing his schoolboy outfit rocking the shit out on stage
Best interview I've ever heard with them. Outstanding job Dean and thank you.
So happy for you Dean! Legendary man!
