- Well it's another dream come true. Today I sit down with the greatest drummer ever Mr. Phil Rudd of AC/DC
It's been an honor to talk to the original 4 who made the Biggest Selling Rock record of all time BACK IN BLACK.
Phil is a Drummers Drummer. There is no better compliment than that.
Phil and I sit down and talk about how he got his start on the Drums, His Audition with AC/DC, His Drum Sets and of Course the brand new record Power Up out on Nov 13th.
The last 15 mins of the conversation I invited my friend Bill Burr to join us for some Helicopter and Drum Geeking.

Its good to hear Phil sounding like his old self again. Im glad you didn't press him on the drama from 2014-2015. As a hard-core Phil fan that was a dark time for him and us.

AC/DC is one of my fav Bands and i enjoy basic style of drumming like Phils however, No disrespect But I wouldn't say he's the "Greatest drummer of all time" but everyone has there own opinion.
Absolutely love Phil Rudd, but of course we can't forget about Neil Peart as one of the greatest in history

I bought the CD over 25 years ago in the discounted bin of the music store. Best music purchase I ever made. Just wish I had on vinyl.

Not sure if you’re Aussie but we have a national tour called “Bon but not forgotten” with some sensational musicians every year or so. This years was naturally canned but mid next year they will be doing Powerage and let there be rock in entirety. Going to be fantastic!

Phil and Malcolm made the ACDC sound IMHO. Phil was my inspiration to learn how to play although not very good. Can't wait to see them live again with Phil!

That moment when you realise Im sitting in my backyard in Elizabeth SA thinking well Cold Chisel where formed here, The Angels started at the Modbury up the road and Bon first played with Acca Decca at the Bridgeway 10 mins away. Cool!

Phil is THE smoothest/best drummer in the world! There is no AC/DC without Phil. He’s just as important to the band as Angus!
I would have asked Phil about the end of Sin City when he hits the snare. It's a memorable part of one of the great AC/DC songs.

Phil Rudd is my favorite drummer of all time, I started playing drums earlier this year and he's my main influence, he's a machine. Again fantastic interview Dean🤘rock on
