Common things I see in Caleb's videos:
    1) Bought a car they can't afford
    2) Went to college and didn't finish
    3) Have family members that are taking advantage of them/they are taking advantage of family members
    4) Claim to have some sort of mental illness
    5) Blame every single bad decision they've willingly made on life circumstances and forces external to themselves.

Honey that’s just gen z they somehow all are “neurodivergent” (which we all are to an extent) , have add/adhd, have anxiety or are depressed. It’s trivializing people who have mental illness(I have bipolar 1) because they treat it like a popular accessory. And the second thing they get reprimanded or disciplined they pretend to be oppressed and that they’re treated unfairly bc of their mental illness. This young generation will dodge accountability like an Olympia. Trust me I’m a gen xer with gen z kids and it drives me NUTS. Not to mention the majority of them are self diagnosed based on social media and believes their symptoms line up with a google search

Seems like in the US people get fired over little things. They could have easily talked to her and find a solution for her situation. But she's replacable, so they just fired her. But then again: we don't see the whole picture.

    • @lesaubergines
      @lesaubergines 4 місяці тому +40

@@PCLHH Getting fired over being insubordinate to your employer is not a small thing. Most states are also at-will which means they can fire you at any time for any reason (unless it’s discrimination). Most corporations will not do this though and will in fact build a case against you so it’s easier for HR to terminate you/to cover their asses. I’m not sure it’s wise to act like you’re aware of US employment laws when you are clearly not even a worker in the US.

These people are getting rawdogged harder by creditors than by the government. It is a sad state of affairs. These people aren't just ignorant, they are brainwashed into believing that they have been given financial freedom, rather than being sold, by a lie, into financial slavery. They should at least have to pass a free mandatory course, paid as reparations by these wallet rapists. They already get a few percent off the top of most consumer transactions due to fees, if they are going to roleplay as the government, they might as well have some responsibility for their actions as well.

When I was coming out of high school I wanted to teach math in high school.
Now, having worked here for a couple of years, I realize that about 50% of that job is babysitting, not teaching, and I am so glad I'm not doing it and I feel for you very much.
(I taught classes at a college and it's not even remotely close because if those kids don't do it that's that: they're adults and 18, parents want to call and complain? Suck it talk to them why they messed up. Also don't need a teaching degree/cert for that either which is another problem but yeah).

Caleb's producers, suggestions to make this easier for guests:
    1) Have them bring their most recent tax return. This is easy for tjem to get (its on TurboTax or whatever) and will answer a lot of questions, like what their income actually is like, student loans, marital status, and if theyre even paying taxes.
    2) Make a dorky one-page outline of what Caleb will talk about.
    3) Make it very clear on that outline that this isnt a charity. A few of the guests critical of Caleb seemed to mistakenly think he would bail them out of their debt.
P.S. Look for guests in nearby retirement communities, post-incarceration help programs, and addiction recovery rehab programs. These would not only be interesting to see, these folks are generally *genuinely* looking for help vs just clout and, due to their circumstances, are used to talking about how they ended up where they did.

    Hi Caleb,
You know, I am French (I live in Paris), and your videos popped up on my feed one day (and I became an addict haha).
Of course the financial situation of someone in Paris is really different, because of the free healthcare , pubic transportation etc. But I took a serious look at my situation, and I just imagine you and your team getting angry at my expenses.
I started a new emergency fund, because the last one was stolen by scammers.
I am waiting for the 6-month living expenses to begin to invest or to buy an appartment.
I paid my only credit (22.59%, don't scream).
I meal prep, and I became better at cooking.
I find free (or not expensive) entertainment, and I find myself happier doing so.
So thank you, thank you to your team, thank you for your show.

As someone who has managed call centers for close to 15 years, this type of employee is exactly why so many call centers have to take crazy steps to ensure staff stays working. People show you who they are very quickly and who they are early on is generally their best impression. She immediately said she wasn’t following the rules with the headset and that doesn’t matter because they didn’t know. There are terrible managers in call centers (and in every other industry) but employer/employee relationships are a 2 way street. You work with your employer and they’ll make the attempt to work with you on where they can. Nothing is guaranteed.

That's one of the ways a lot of people fail. They think that they have to hold out for a job in their field and at their last salary. Then they find themselves in a financial hole with a big gap in their CV/résumé. My husband and I have both faced redundancy, both lined something temporary so we never missed a pay period, both bounced from job to job until the right job came along. The result is that we've never been late on a bill payment, both improved our salaries above inflation, both in jobs with more perks than the original jobs we had and neither of us have any fear of being made redundant because we know we'll just get another job if we need to.

They don't have to provide the exact thing you ask for if it would cause a hardship on the business, but they have to provide something reasonable. If they don't provide it, document that and go from there. If you told them about your disability and you get discriminated, document that. Those aren’t disabilities. Even in an employee-friendly state like California, those are not protected categories. She would have to have a medical exemption note and get that submitted to HR before she starts her job. Even at that, it would be difficult to get that situated and confirm she cannot perform her job as directed. What she mentions of saying “yes” to the questionnaire of “do you have a disability” that’s just for demographic purposes. That is not a disclosure. That gets accounted anonymously by most HR systems.

So there are lots of dogs that are great to pick up from a shelter! However, just from experience, not everyone is prepared to deal with the needs of a dog with previous owners, especially if that dog has trauma. The other benefit of getting a puppy that's bred is that you can train it yourself to be used to your environment. Of course, lots of people aren't prepared to do that either. Personally, I like shelter dogs, but they also have different needs. But some people do, as you said, have a weird idea that they NEED a bred dog.

As the French say: "C'est la vie!"

This girl is just full of excuses and doesn't give a shit. Caleb comes off as a piece of shit because she has the mindset of a toddler. Honestly, Caleb should allow himself to actually kick people off the show, maybe 1 or 2 times a month. People as hopeless and selfish as this deserve to be kicked off. This girl worked for a remote call center, was fired for turning off her camera and not working, trying to use "disabilities" as an excuse. Overactive bladder is not a disability thar prevents you for working. If you need to go to the bathroom often you just go ro the bathroom and cone back. Sounds like she was turning off her camera and not working. Then couldn't apply to some of the thousands of other call centers? She's honestly pathetic and will not succeed in life.

A big thanks from across the pond... Due to a combination of reasons (mainly returning home after many years abroad during covid so the loan was basics to have me stand on my feet as a fresh start), I was in a situation, where I had a load to pay, a Credit card and was unable to save anything. Your chat did make me wake up from my coma I started slowly with an Excel sheet and a plan to get out of these payments and transform them into savings for me and not the bank.. The Excel was a great way to check how much was paid and how much was left.. The visualisation was indeed a motivation (2023). I took that second-weekend job for 10 months... The credit card was paid off and then cancelled, The small loan was paid off and the extra money allows me to pay off the main loan faster, so looking forward to the end of this year...

To give you a little light note after this audit Caleb, I, myself have 2 credit cards. One has a $45 balance the other has a 0 balance. (I despise interest, unless I'm making it)
Me and my wife are making double mortgage payments and will have the house paid off in 6 years, and we have an emergency fund that would last us 1 1/2 years the way our lifestyle spending does us barring major disaster.
Oh, and my wife introduced me to an envelope challenge. $1-$100 sequentially, We figured if we did that 3 times a year during the same time paying off the house, we will end up with an extra $91k. Not to mention investments, pension, 457b and pure savings.
I regret to inform you sir, that we will not need an audit from your organization. I however will subscribe for the entertainment value.

The headset bit was wild. Companies want agents at their desk for obvious reasons. On top of that the people I talk to that have the most audio issues are on a wireless headset. From a company headset a wired headset keeps you at your desk and gives the best chance for good audio quality.
