Still, you're absolutely right that the series was a great place for Constantine to hibernate (I hope there's a new season coming). What Legends of the Tomorrow did nail was the crossovers; even between its own characters. Ubisoft - "Hmm the last 3 Assissins Creed games were the biggest/best/Most successful ones yet - lets totally change things up and turn it into a live service..." How on earth do they think this is a wise move...? The confusing thing about COD Modern Warfare 2 is that its not a re-make of Modern Warfare 2 but rather a sequel to the re-boot from 2019, re-boot not re-make lol... And it is coming this year - its 2023 they are apparently skipping i think...
Season 2 and beyond of Legends of Tomorrow is amazing and everyone should watch them. They do all sorts of wacky shit like the world becomes a reality show, the cast is replaced with puppets, the cast is replaced with edgy 90's parodies of themselves. They have epaiodes where they're stuck in TV shows, forced to make a Kaiju film, and all sorts of crazy stuff. It's legit funny and entertaining. The climax of one season is set to the Thong song.
And that might be why people didn't watch it enough. I can only speak for me, but i liked the show when it started out, but felt like it gradually got worse (for what i was looking for, which is obviously different for everyone).
"We do like sonic, we like the revival he's getting." This is wild. I left the fandom around....ehhhhh right before Forces? Like around the Meta Era Sonic. It was just....a mess. Bad people in it making the loudest noise, the games weren't very FUN, characters that have been LOVED FOR YEARS completely bastardized, especially poor, poor Shadow (HE'S NOT AN EDGEHOG GOD DAMMIT) and Forces seemed to kinda be the nail in the coffin for Sonic. Then...the first trailer for the Sonic movie in 2019 appeared. And THAT got everyone completely riled up. Sonic....still had people that cared about him. The fandom cared. And Fowler listened. Not Paramount, who were okay with how he looked, but FOWLER put his foot down, and delayed the movie. And the movie DID WELL. Critically and at the box office. Then we get the news about Sonic Frontiers-AN OPEN WORLD Sonic game that looks STUNNING. And written by Ian Flynn. What a win. THEN WE GET THE SEQUEL and ANOTHER WIN for Sonic. And potentially, for Shadow too. It's incredible. It's nice to see Sonic at the top again, where he should be-neck n neck with Mario, friendly rivals. I can say for the first time in YEARS, I'm excited to see where he goes. And I'm happy to be in the fandom again-all the art about movie sonic on twitter is god damn precious. Ya know what Ubisoft being in trouble really means? Microsoft is going to buy it soon. They've made a habit of that the past 10 years. Wait till a company really fucks up and then buy it. Like vultures. On the bright side, that means the next Fable or Elder scrolls game will have Ezio Auditore in it. That sounds like a good match to me. I would love to have the old Assassin's Creed uniforms and playstyle in either game.
I feel that they’ve ruined the assassins creed franchise. Might as well make a game that’s set in historical setting with no ties to the franchise for more creative freedom. And far cry is getting really stale unless they change the core game play.
@@TheZachary86 Funnily enought that was the exact reason they did change AC-formula. The games where getting really stale & people bitched about it constantly, now that they did changed the core gameplay people want the old gameplay again.
I miss the old days of Assassin’s Creed. I know a franchise needs to reinvent and change in order to keep up with the times but it reminds me of the lesson that everything has a place and time, and it makes me sad that Assassin’s Creed never was allowed to have a proper conclusion to solidify it in the times that it was made as opposed to just keep changing it until it’s unrecognizable.

The sale of Time-Warner (which includes WB) to Discovery just went through, so I wouldn't count on ANY existing projects going through until we hear more. Big mergers like this tend to come with a ton of cut projects, even if they were previously greenlit. Batman 2 probably has a better chance of surviving than other projects, but supposedly big cuts are already happening throughout the company.
Joe, "Remake" refers to the original game, transitioned exactly to modern graphics, controls, etc. "Reboot" refers to a game that carrys the spirit of the original game, but has differences (story/plot, levels, etc).

It would have been nice to see Legends get a chance do a proper series finale, but that is partly on the decision on the production team to make cliffhanger rather than an open-ended season finale. It was one of the few shows I pay a Netflix subscription for.
Think of it this way Joe, people blamed Tom Cruise for that Mummy movie, when it was Alex Kurtzman at the top of it all, lol. Just like Andrew Garfield's Spider-man movies, Kurtzman was one of the 3 main producers. He just fails upward, somehow.
Legends of Tomorrow being cancelled gives me hope that now Matt Ryan can properly play Constantine in his own show. He is literally the only reason I watched the LoT series...He used to have his own Constantine show with Fox? but they left it on a cliffhanger.

I can appreciate not understanding why Batwoman was so disliked. The idea was sound but the execution was horrendous. watch any JLongbone, HeelVsBabyface or Thorias Unlimited review to see why the show was cheered for being cancelled.
Joe, while those people might not be huge fans of Batwoman, they are fans of Batman, and that show disrespected the hell out of Bruce Wayne as Batman. There's an element of them not being able to fuck up a thing we care about so that at SOME point we can maybe get a well-written Batman TV show. For Batman fans, hearing this got cancelled is like if the Halo series got cancelled for Halo fans, or if Picard got cancelled for Trekkies.
I am saddened to hear about "Legends of Tomorrow" it was a good show, I started to like it more than "The Flash." Not sad about Batwoman, after hearing what Ruby Rose experience on the show, sustaining multiple injures, having to immediately go back to it after healing, etc, and etc.
@@jlev1028 I still enjoyed it more than "Flash", Flash has literally been repeating the same tropes over and over again, the only highlights of recent years is XS (Nora West Allen) and the delicious appearances of Reverse Flash, for me anyways.
Who was Batwoman made for if not the people who enjoy Batman, the world of Batman, and DCU? Definitely not the same thing as hating on a kids show cause you're an adult. Batwoman was a laughing stock of a show that actually deserves it's cancellation.
I am very disappointed that AJS didn't wholeheartedly celebrate the creation of a union for the Ravensoft crew. This needs to be celebrated, not greeted with pessimism as a futile effort. Fuck kayfabe and fuck sarcasm: unionization in software development is a good thing that will be absolutely critical to ending mistreatment of game developers and QA staff.
Adding that Capcom actually didn't add any subtitle like "Remake" for new RE2 and RE3 titles. Internet itself is adding them everywhere but official title is still Resident Evil 2. As for new RE3, they actually removed name Nemesis from it so there's at least difference but not obvious one compared to original.
From the future here: Think of all the kids that will only know Mario's "voice" as Chris Pratt because of the movie. When they finally hear the REAL Mario's voice, they'll probably think "Wtf? That's not Mario".... This is why we can't have nice things. Also, news shows like this (along with many other creators like SkillUp, Gameranx and ACG) are great documentation and relevant commentary of modern video game history. It's really fun to watch old ones and see the calls you guys get right and the tiny signs that brought the prediction. Thanks for keeping it going, great work!
One of the biggest issues I have with the current Call of Duty games is the FORCE YOU to download and install Warzone if you want to play the campaign for any of the games. You end up with a 200gb game on your machine (which is crippling on a console that typically has a 1tb or smaller drive). That alone makes me not want to even install shit like this.
Alex forgets that DC films have struggle over the past couple years so its not surprising that WB didnt announce Batman 2 in case it flopped liked JLA, WW84,Man of Steel, and Birds of Prey, did.
Warner was just acquired by Discovery. That is probably why the Batman sequels weren’t green lit already. It’s also why so many DC CW shows are not being renewed.
All Ubisoft needs to do for a quick pay day is to freagin make make a Ninja Assassin Creeds game and make it good. That’s the one game I really want from them that never came. That side scroller don’t count.

MW2 is actually coming this year. Activision released a statement that said it's coming in 2022 and any reports that stated otherwise were incorrect. So both MW2 and the Warzone sequal/update/expansion/whatever the fuck it is, are both coming in 2022.
I'm actually kinda sad about Legends of Tomorrow getting cancelled. It was campy schlock that didn't pretend it was anything else, and in fact embraced that fact, and I appreciated it. Not at all sad about Batwoman, though.
cracked me up when you were talking about call of duty modern warfare, and even to me all of that made no sense and was blurring together. Then I see OJ just looking a bit dazed, and a bit later he's like sorry I kinda spaced out.. :D Oh I rewatched and he said, just have em spaced out or something. I like my interpretation better lol
As for the Mario movie? Eh... it is Illumination a studio known to abuse employees as it spends the least amount of cash to get a project done in the quest for as much cash as possible. You pile that on with the other stuff such as just using star power to bring people in over the actual original Mario voice actor? The movie will make money off its name but man it ain't going to be that great.
I guess Alex forgot about Warcraft 3 Reforged and Activision/Blizzard pretty much doing the same thing, if anything Rockstar followed their example with the "Definitive Edition" of the trilogy.
I actually really liked ZK's Catwoman... She was exotic and aloof, didn't seem to care about anything other than her family. Exactly as the comics portrayed her... (And she's actually of South American heritage in her first solo 90's run, as is Bane...)

What Legends of the Tomorrow did nail was the crossovers; even between its own characters. They pulled it off very well, in part because of their 'what the hell, let's just go!' spirit, and they even managed to have some character arcs while goofing off. I'm happy it was made, and I will rewatch it at some point.
@@anderskronquist9750 yeah i feel you comepletly. i would compare it to supernatural. although it didnt do 11 seasons. but both shows started out serious and then realized the fans wouldnt mind them taking the piss. we got some great episodes but yeah the party was going on for far too long. also the creators said that the ending scene character reveal was an attempt at stoping being cancelled. but i would have wished for one more season as a wrap up of all the character storys. also i feel like even if the ratings we good i feel like since dc is under new maangement they wanted to scrap all the cw shows.which is wierd because i feel like the only show thats still going is superman and lois.
@@artificiallystupidintellig8819 Well, I hope there's a spot for a similar series in the future, because I haven't really been impressed by the new TV series offers (mumble grumble Batwoman mumble grumble). Perhaps I'm just getting old, and thus aging out of their targeted demographic.
OTOH, I can certainly see why the executives could look at a series and go, "hey, this seems like you're running out of ideas, maybe time to stop while you're ahead" - though as you said, I wish each series was allowed a double episode "ending" season or something.

9:00 when one of the joe's said Disney owns a version of Thor it reminded me that power rangers was one of the few franchises that Disney once owned but then gave away the rights to someone else. This happened back i think in the mid 2000's- 2010.
You're right, I came to say the same. It's 2023 that they are taking the year off!
"We do like sonic, we like the revival he's getting."
This is wild. Even movie Shadow has some art already. It's nice. Wholesome. Thank God.
what shadow was the edgiest of edge lords from his first scene.

Love when Other Joe calls out the hypocrisy of Angry Joe over reviewing Batwoman vs reviewing Picard. Maybe it should be the Other Joe Show from now on!
the new MW isn't a remake. it's a sequel to MW19, which was a reboot, not a remake. the new MW games are same characters, completely different stories, etc.. very excited for MW2 mainly for the campaign. always top quality experiences

Think of all the kids that will only know Mario's "voice" as Chris Pratt because of the movie. When they finally hear the REAL Mario's voice, they'll probably think "Wtf? That's not Mario".... This is why we can't have nice things.

They should call the MW2 remake Modern Warfare 2-2, like how there's a Final Fantasy 10-2 or 13-2.
