It's remarkable to me that Lee Jung-jae learned an entire language to play the part, but the writers couldn't even be bothered to read or learn about Star Wars AT ALL.
@@JustinTrudeau1971 Well the script is so bad an unintellectual all he had to learn was the most basic of words, nothing above toddler level of language
Does KK realise that the South Park line “ Put a Chick in it and make her gay and lame” was a criticism of the shit show that she’s turned Star Wars in to, and not a on going game plan. Disney has killed a franchise that pretty much had a license to print money. What a disgraceful and disappointing outcome for all of its true fans.
oh, but wait! There is more! I see two main theories of who this Sith person is. Either it is one of the mums, or Darth Plagueis. However, what if both are correct? A disgruntled communist space witch turns to the dark side because of the Jedi and even switches gender. Wouldn't that be brave? From Kennedy's perspective this makes perfect sense. The first transgender supervillain in Star Wars.
yeah, "peterquill" is correct, people. Understand that once a while ago, Star Wars was ridiculously successful in ANYTHING they did. NO longer. It was ruined with malice and ease and swiftly.

"They died, we don't have to listen to them, they're gone." SW Episode 10: "somehow the witches who died in a fire on that one planet a very long time ago returned!"
The plotwists are aweful also watching 3 episodes (now 4) or something and nothing still makes sense isn't fun, this is telenovela writing. So far we have Mae that wants revenge and kill 4 Jedi Masters We are told that Mae started the fire and we see that in the flashback of EP3 That flashback cuts out essential parts that imply that there was a fight In Episode 2 a Jedi Master kills himself willingly, because he feels guilt (and yes, his Makeup to make him look older is aweful). The way they direct these episodes and the way the story is told is aweful. When EP2 gives us reasons to believe that Mae didn't kill the witches, the flashback of EP3 should reveal some important information and confirm it, instead it only prolongs the uncertainty and we most likely have to wait for an additional flashback (telenovela quality) for it to make sense. Any possible explanation without Sol being a big liar to Osha is difficult to believe. If the execution of the witches was planned, happened in the situation because a fight broke out. Even if Sol was not present in that moment, because he rescued Osha, should the dead bodies of the witches show visible signs of lightsaber weapons being used? He only took a quick look, but it should be obvious to a Jedi Master. And shouldn't the Jedis involved told him what happened? Even if they were not that eager to tell him, he could make inquiries and Jedis are not supposed to lie. Sol just looks like a very naive and incapable Jedi Master no matter how you look at it. Or he's just playing the nice guy and is lying the whole time, because he knows more than what he's saying. And EP4 is worse. So now Mae decided that knowing that Osha is alive changes everything and that she no longer wants to kill Jedi? What kind of resolve! And did you see the Jedi? They have a out of training exPadawan with them but they left her behind in the formation. You would think the best formation would be a circle or cross formation with the unarmed civilian in the center, but what do I know. XD Oh and the Sith guy can force push all of them away, lol. Is this the prototype of Anakin Skywalker? And the biggest question: if there is a sith lord this strong 200 years before the events of Episode 1, why did they say that Siths were gone for 1000 years in the Phantom Manace? I don't think they have satisfying answers to this. It really feels like that they already wrote themselves into a corner when this series is ment to have 3 seasons or so and go into the story of Darth Sidious eventually.
Star Wars Theory seems like an ok dude. But he is desperately clinging on to the hope that Dave Filoni can right this ship. He won't. The ship has sunk. It's at the bottom of the ocean.

In 2012, Star Wars was diagnosed with cancer. And after an over decade-long battle and multiple remissions, SW finally succombed in 2024. He now joins his brother franchises in the great beyond, and may he rest in peace.
Disney's attitude to Star Wars is somewhat similar to Obrien's(1984) attitude to Winston: "We shall squeeze you empty, and then we shall fill you with ourselves."
Every time I hear that fucking shit, all I can think about is Blackheart from the first Ghost Rider movie after he gets the contract of a thousand souls. "Maaaaaaaaaaaaaannyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
Nah dude is a huge Filoni simp. I unsubscribed from him like 2019 because he was such a jerk. He played himself instead of listening to those of us who told him star wars dead. He even argued in the comments and would remove “controversial” posts. Dude only has himself to blame.
I just don't get how game companies make a 5 minute cinematic like the old republic feel more like Star Wars than this multimillion dollar Disney movie/television crap we keep getting.

The reason why that happens is because the parent company doesn't care, they are not overseeing the project, so they can do whatever they want. I feel the Mandalorian was that way, but then it became a success and they took control.
The Drinker nailed it at the end...These people that work for Disney DON'T have the motivation to tell good stories that fit within the Star Wars Universe...What they have is only the motivation to push their woke activism, and the series clearly shows this.
If they only lacked motivation, there would have been a chance to produce something good, even by accident. But I firmly believe that these people have absolutely no creativity, no talent, and no skills. They aren't making anything good because it's physically impossible for them.
The people who are writing this shit for Disney and just shitty writers leaning heavily into woke bullshit to compensate. Then when you call them out they have hordes of Discord trannies and bots to shout you down.
He is way too kind to them. Would you review a Chinese communist propaganda movie or just simply claim it’s not art but brainwash?… so why these reviewers talking as if it’s only purpose is not demoralization?!
41 years. Humanity has changed. This is an entirely different issue is because these parasite activists all laughed at sw in 1983 but now that it's billion dollar success, they want to use it to push their own agendas.
@Snake-ms7sj the last hour of RO was great. the first hour plus was unwatchable trash. The worst film Lucas made (attack of the clones) is better than anything Disney has produced and made.

@@ZackMorrisMyHero Interesting. Because the ball in question is Star Wars. And I don't see it being in the hands of dissatisfied fans. But hey, keep the ad hominems as a response to an allegorical joke definitely makes you look more mature and intelligent.
The absolute most frustrating thing is how fucking hard is it to write a great star wars story? It's probably the easiest universe to write a great story in. What do people want to see? A plucky main character, storm troopers or clone troopers, jedi, bounty hunters, spaceships doing cool shit, cool planets. It's not fucking hard. You don't need to constantly innovate new shit, you have decades of lore to work from. These pathetic attempts to evolve the universe through a modern lens is infuriating. Just leave it alone and use what's there already.
1. They don't want to write what people like us consider great. They want to hurt, anger, and insult us. 2. The trash they are hiring cannot write well. They don't have the craft to tell stories of any kind well, present characters of any kind well, or express thoughts more nuanced than "I like cake." 3. In addition to their technical failings as writers, there is the bubble world than the population shares their view of police/authority/society. This is a drug dealer's view of the police and an abusive mother's view of social services.

Because Star Wars means so much to him for what it meant to him during incredible difficulties in his life. And Disney and the women running the show have utterly gutted it. These people putting this crap out don’t care about Star Wars or the fans, it’s about indoctrination with woke bull.
I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
Unlike most people, I believe Star Wars died immediately after Farce Awokens was released, which is why I was confused about the huge reaction to Last Jedi. In my mind, Star Wars was already dead, so why did anybody go to see Last Jedi at all, and why were they surprised that it was bad?
TFA was at best okay but it didn't matter as SW was coming back and we couldn't wait for more. TLJ is when most including me realize what terrible future Disney has in store for us
I went and saw TLJ cus I had hope. My wife and I almost walked out but I said let’s give it 10 more minutes. Shoulda walked out and saved our time. That was the death of star wars to me. Tossed my box set. I can very barely watch Rogue One which I think is the best Star Wars movie.
I'll tell you why people (me included) went to see Last Jedi. That's because Rogue One was a good movie. It was released after TFA and before TLJ. RO gave me hope that Disney got a grip how to make good SW movie and boy, how wrong I was. I shit you not, the very night after I came back from TLJ, I couldn't sleep thinking of how dumb and garbage this movie was. Promised myself to skip episode XIV which I'm glad I did. Gj Disney for ruining my beloved franshise.
I think most people were cautiously holding their breath waiting to see if TLJ would build upon the rather bland foundation of TFA - and then TLJ came out and we were left asking wtf
I hated TFA, but I was hoping after stupidly resetting the universe back to ANH they would use it as a launch pad for something good. I know, very naive. I completely gave up with TLJ.
The one great thing about the Acolyte is that there's at least no key jangling references and cameo appearances to distract viewers from the shallow writing. Now everyone sees the Acolyte's awfulness.
100 years before the empire so they have to make everything to stand up on its own, and they already tripped way before the first hurdle. Maybe even before leaving the starting line.
I feel bad for _Andor._ I That show was like the band on Titanic -- providing a ray of light and grace amongst the larger disaster surrounding it, doomed to go down with it.
I do wonder if he will get to the stage where he just wont cover the Disney content anymore. He has said he would like to go back to focus on the old stuff and I dont blame him. Besides, he has a replica lightsaber business and dozens of other theory based channels.
At this stage, i think i'd accept the next movie starting out with Luke waking up in bed, facing the camera and saying, "God, what a nightmare! Starkiller Base? Purple-haired admirals? Green milk? What a lot of nonsense thst was. Last time i eat cheese before bedtime, eh viewers?" before the film proper begins.

When Disney bought Star Wars I expected trash, but I assumed it would be about cashing in a valuable dormant franchise rather than deliberately destroying it.
My fear when Disney first bought both Marvel and Star Wars, was that they would just end up dumbing it all down for kids... That we would get all these shows and movies pointed towards teens and pre-teens and toddlers, with the adult fans left in the wind... The concepts of "woke" agendas and ideological/political grandstanding and focus, had never crossed my mind in the slightest... They've decided that the message is the point, not the entertainment... Plus, as much as we remember Disney standing for good Family entertainment... It's much more about sexist toxicity for them now... Instead of taking the high road, they've decided to ruin their reputation through extremism, toxicity, obfuscation, and running the company into the ground... They could have done so very much with all these IP's, but instead they are squandering them in so many failed attempts... They keep failing to learn lessons, and play the blame game instead...
Disney had the opportunity to rescue Star Wars four films ago, by hiring Sam Whitwer either in a directing role, a writer or as a lead actor. At least approaching him to be advisor on set. The man is a walking sage of Star Wars Lore and a dame fine actor and truly gets Star Wars.
This is what I've been saying but no matter how charitable he is he doesn't check the right boxes so they'll never do it... And that to me is the great tragedy of modern starwars
Oh wow, that remark from the chat "13% of Jedi commit 50% of force crimes" was amazing! Thank you for that whoever you are. And don't forget (and no, I did not originate this comment or idea) that Disney Star Wars heavily features two young black girls, and the father isn't around. And they say WE are the racists?!
The Acolyte to Disney's Star Wars is what Blood Origin was to The Witcher Netflix series. The Acolyte is what KK and her crew REALLY WANTED to make from the very beginning. A "prequel story" Where they could cram as much of their agenda and politics as they wanted while intentionally, gleefully pissing over the lore and legacy of the source material.
You're the only one who seems able to recognize that. This isn't incompetence, it is malice. Intentional destruction for the pleasure of seeing the pain of those who loved it.
@@la_scrittice_vita Exactly. Kathleen Kennedy WANTED the sequel trilogy to be this, or something close to this, but had all these pesky characters, and storylines, and lore built up from the previous entries, all made by those evil pesky MEN who made her get them coffee for decades... She's gonna get her revenge now, by tearing it all down. All their old characters must be broken down and then killed. Notice that the fan favorite Mandalorian, made by that evil white guy, is upbeat and more akin to original Star Wars, whereas everything (not just Star Wars) helmed and/or starring these strong independent increasingly diverse women that KK goes out and praises to the sun, is this drab dreary pessimistic 'look at how evil and bad and stupid and dumb all these PATRIARCHAL MENFOLK ARE' slop. She's gladly tearing it all down, and Bob Iger is too afraid of the MeToo movement (or just too comfortable in his lofty position to care) to do anything about it.
agreed The Acolyte is what the Rey trilogy KK wanted to be. But she had to attach it to the OT characters for marketing reasons. Which is why she killed the two males, she wanted to erase Lucas legacy and replace it with her own feminist vision. The divide TLJ caused, Solo bombing and Fisher's sudden death put an end to her assimilation plan. But now she is in full force to complete it, Acolyte jump-started the transition and the upcoming Rey movie will complete it.
It really is about pushing their agenda. I really don’t understand how anyone could piss away millions (if not billions) of dollars just to male a point. You could have included diversity AND told a great story, but nooooo
You Sir Critical Drinker are the best part of this destroyed “Star Wars” empire now. I constantly look forward to your new videos. This drink is for you!
The Last Jedi was when Star Wars died. I remember coming out of the theatre and thinking, 'That was weird. I don't think that was good. In fact I think I hated it.' It was a bizarre experience, I was fooled by episode 7 to some degree, but with episode 8 I just felt insulted as a viewer.
The moment Poe had that 'phone call' near the beginning, Star Wars died for me. It didn't belong in that Universe at all. It only got worse after that.
That was what I thought when I saw Phantom Menace. I had to see it a second to make sure I didn't like it. I still don't like it, but it's better than the new Disney stuff. Force Awakens was such a profoundly stupid movie in nearly every way, that's when I knew the franchise was dead. Mandalorian had some cool stuff though.
Married in 2012, discovered deceased (and bloating and swelling) in 2024, presumably died sometime between 2012 and 2024 in unknown but seemingly horrifying circumstance.
I did! I thought "Uh, this might not be a good thing." And then it wasn't. I tried to tell them! Anyone! Someone! But I was just a kid in a big world of adults! (That last bit is just dramatic flair. I'm in my fifties.)
Star Wars was on life support by 2012. It suffered for years at the inept hands of Disney. It has finally died. To bad we can't sue Disney for malpractice.
Yep, when they did a terrible Clone Wars remake that nuked the Mandalorians and the EU set during the Clone Wars and introduced a strong, independent whamen of color to tell Anakin how to be a Jedi and was a fifth as believable as Vader having a secret apprentice (fun game, crap lore), we all should have knew smelled a rat... Or rather The Mouse.
I think the IP was in reasonable health back then, but then the heart was ripped out when Geroge sold it, JF managed to put it back on life surport, but then Kennedy in her eternal wisdom said "No, this won't do!!" Thus she pulled the plug, cut the cord, tossed the plug in the bin and said to everyone in the room "From now on, we put a chick in it and make it lame and gay!!" And those in the room clapped, shouted at how brave and strong she was, while JF, watched in horror as his attempts to save the brand, went up in smoke and likely said "Screw this!" Then filled his contract and left the room as the gas of toxic fumes of stupidy filled it up and the body that was once Star Wars, begins to rot away! While next door, similar thing happened with Marvel as the inmates take over the hospital meant to save the properties, all the while, the one in charge, sits in his office, having his two showers and likely smoking crack!
Agreed with Chris Gore, Star Wars died in 2012. To me, Star Wars is only the pre-disney era. Video games, card games, comics, books, movies, media is only legacy now. Disney took Star Wars, threw it in the trash and wrote some kind of sci-fi story mashup.
Sooo many good video games in the SW universe. Hell, the cutscenes from SWTOR are better than any other SW content. I'd watch a whole movie just made by them.
“Over it”? Yeah, I’m over it, AND I was an original fan-boy when at 12 in 1977 I stood for hours in line to see Star Wars 11 separate times during that summer…bought my first album - Star Wars,…books, film-making, special effects, toys, etc. But these haters that own the franchise killed it years ago,…killed my fanship anyway,…much like they killed Marvel right after Stan Lee passed. Evidently it’s true: “you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”.
I was 9 in 77. Those 3 films were ours, mine, and no wankers can ever take that away from me. Let them make what they want, it's irrelevant. A shame, but irrelevant.
@@knazibaz Even the prequels with all their political machinations and skullduggery? Either Star Wars is actually for everyone, or it is for some really smart kids...
When I was in my teens we had STAR WARS on RECORDS! I would listen to the movie at night. When I got my first paycheck I bought the Trilogy on VHS, then bought them on disc and then bought them digitally. AND I consider myself a normy. I never dressed up or went to CONS or bought figures. I just loved the story and the thought of the force. I feel bad for the younger people that don't get that kind of story telling.
I remember those records too! Played them on our little Fisher Price record player all the time, saw all the OT movies in the theater when they premiered, had all the toys and played with them instead of just collecting them. We're the folks Disney could have had on a silver platter as fans if they did the right thing by SW instead of whatever this mess is.
It is on record I believe that they purposefully ~not~ hire lore-knowledgeable writers and checkers. They ~wanted~ people who knew nothing of the franchise.
OK gonna give a Hot Take. • I got no issue with them having a coven of witches. We know of the Witches of Dathomir. • I got no issues with them calling the Force the Thread. Different cultures call the Force Magic. • I got no issue with Anakin Skywalker not being the first child created using the Force. With that said if their focus was entertainment and respect of the franchise, Leslye Headland could of had an interesting show with some of the things outlined in The Acolyte. Imagine these Witches been creating children using the force in secret all the time. Darth Plagueis hearing about what they can do found them and extracted the knowledge of how to create a child using the force and kills them off. And in doing that made it looks like the Jedi killed off the Witches. Mae thinks Osha died and is taken by Darth Plagueis and trained as an Acolyte. They get their representation, we get an interesting story that doesn't break cannon.
-People dont have an issue with witches. It was even brough in Kotor 2. -i have a problem slight problem with the thread as the intent is retcon/ideological in nature. -i have a serious issue with anakin's purpose being washed down and cheapen. The writer wrote it all in the same way johnson wrote TLJ. Break and erase the lore and its rules. The difference btw Johnson and that B**** who wrote the acolyte is that her intent was to spite the audience. She said at first she hated everything about us and the universe and she then said she wanted to piss everyone off. Whats even more infuriating is the folks who decided to "connect the dots" by stretching any possibility imaginable to make it work ...ao much so that it becomes absurd and laughable - like a carricature and explaining how it can be the real person. Its the writer's job to create a plot, mysteries that respects whats established while pushing onwards into a believable follow up. What you are essentially doing is allow incredibly spiteful idiots lazy writers to get away with everything they do. Worst part, its only to not be seen as "bad", labeled while just mental gymnastic the "possible". This isnt a new franchise theyre building from the ground up. Its an established one with a lot of lore backing it that never breaks its theme or purpose (in 35 years before disney) and they brought lots of new things.. This one does it all. Stop excusing it and make it about things the writer never wrote about or intended to. The EU is evidence of doing things right. Ashoka, clone wars and mando are others.
It says a lot on how bad things are that Theory, one of the biggest people in the fandom, who years ago I never would have thought I'd see join the FNT crew on a regular basis, is here.
There are several SW fan channels that are out-right ignoring the issues or living in denial, or both. SWT is an exception. You can lie to yourself only so long, be dishonest so long, and it seems he was no big fan of either.
He still believes in Filoni though. But I believe even that will pass. I think Andor season 1 was the best thing since Rogue One. But I don't expect Gilroy to start a new project after season 2. And after he is gone, all hope is lost.
hiring an "intimacy coordinator" just for a guy taking his shirt off sounds about right. All that money they spent on this has to go somewhere and its certainly not going to the show itself, its going to a bunch of people they hired for useless jobs.
It's part of the grift, basically a job creation program for people with useless degrees and inflated egos. It's mind blowing how much money Disney & Co. are wasting on these bozos. But that's the *money printer go burrr* mindset. Shareholders (or better stakeholders now) still showering them with money, doesn't matter if they're successful or not. The money keeps on flowing...

Yeah, The Last Jedi was it. What an absolute mess of a movie. I still haven't seen The Rise of Skywalker. I have zero interest in anything Star Wars now, and I used to be a guy who saw the midnight showings on day one.

100% agree. I came out of the cinema thinking TLJ was the worst film I'd ever seen, and swearing to never watch another. I've followed the progress further down by watching this kind of review and discussions but will not watch another Star Wars labeled show.
TFA lost me. I "saw" each of the remainders the night before 2 local cons over consecutive years. I fell asleep during each one and barely remembered anything that happened. And I don't wanna.
Disney is relying on the phrase “any press is good press” and they are correct! We need to stop hate watching because the only way the fandom really wins is to STOP WATCHING and ignore.
The reason they have 2 children play the twins is because of child labor laws. Children can only be on set for so many hours a week. They usually hire child twins to play one role, as well.
Well, Disney also wants people to stop speaking out, because then it's easier to push their own narrative, via their well-funded PR department... Silence on one side doesn't mean silence on the other side...
bro 1. She overpowered two of them immediately 2. possessed the jedi padawan and he didn’t do shit to deserve it except be there 3. The speed of that book fire was phenomenal. She hacked her vent and crawled through, the entire place was on fire in that 15 seconds. 7. The jedi master that got assassinated was absolutely not master caliber, we have seen jedi stop projectiles using the lightsaber hand and the offhand. A random assassin is not going to kill jedi masters like that. darth maul was hardened and trained for ages to kill qui gon and he still got shit on after. 8. Space fire 9. I sometimes wish the franchise went into public domain, so at least we'd have something good, rather than having it be all crap. Some fans would make stupid stuff for the sake of it, but a lot of fans would generally make better stuff. Because they are fans and fans don't like seeing their favorite franchises suck, so they put more effort. Like with modders who put more effort than official developers when it comes to games. No one person can save star wars at this point. Not Filoni, not Jon, not even Lucas himself. To me, they have sold out at this point and it's the fans that would restore it.
Harrison wanted the character to die, so that was inevitable. But they could've written his death to matter as opposed to him being tossed away like garbage. That was on the writers.
@RJALEXANDER777 I left after the death & ruination of Luke during Last Jedi, the man who would do everything in his power to save his friends & family time and time again throughout the OT. The man who was able to redeem DARTH VADER and bring him back to the light. Doesn't at all strike me as the man who would abandon all hope and just give up on the galaxy & his friends/family!
Yes! I started to watch the movie but turned it off as soon as Han died. He and Leia weren't even together. The characters I was interested in were a mess, and so I had no desire to watch the rest of it.
I gave up after the Last Jedi had so much controversy I didn’t even bother to watch it and the sequel. Besides Luke getting killed, Rosa being a Mary Sue and Rey being Papeltines daughter, I honestly don’t know what else happens in then last two movies.
Every IP should have a lore master or at least a lore committee. For Star Wars the closest it came to was Sam Witwer. Dude was non stop checking people on every project he was on. But unlike most actors, he was an actual fan. Actors like him and Henry Cavill are rare in that they know the stuff they act in.
Yeah and they would just stuff that with their shills as well. No matter what you do, you can never get around the fact that our creative legacy is in the hands of resentful people that hate the values our stories are built on.
They’ll have a hundred DEI consultants and sensitivity readers on retainer but no one to ensure the narrative consistency of the bilge they are churning out.
Exactly, just ignore the shitney star wars, they never happened, To me disney never made any star wars, it ended with episode 6 return of the jedi. Least we still have luke, leia, han in our timeline, F#ck off disney, your done.
This is the way. all these grifters are just harping on for wievs, like disney has any relevance on the true Star Wars. Disney is not canon by their very own doing. Stay with star wars and the OG universe. May the force be with you.
No, it's dead. We have memories of the life it lived, but it's dead. If Disney ever sells it off, then maybe it could be resurrected. That's not going to happen though.
To the tune of the Don McLean classic: " A long, long time ago I can still remember Star Wars used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could watch Ewoks dance And maybe I'd be happy for a while But Disney made me shiver With every new series they deliver Bad shows on our doorstep I couldn't take more and I just slept I can't remember if I cried When I read about The Thread But deep inside it made me dead The day that Star Wars died. "
Just to address the angry badgers point about how its no different from the sisters of dathomir: it is. The canon was always clear about how the sisters powers worked, and why they were different. It also explains why they're green, its due to a green mist that only exists on dathomir and interacts with the force. This shit about the thread? directly contradicts how the force is supposed to work. does the average person know this? no, but nevertheless an explanation does exist within the canon for everything else EXCEPT the thread.
Yep. That's the problem - it's not that these women just talk about, think about the force differently. They do it *and* it acts like it's not the force. That destroys world building. They can call it the thread and conceptualize it however they want so long as they are still using the force and it behaves the way the force behaves. Imagine how aliens might conceptualize gravity. It is likely wildly different, but gravity wouldn't care and would still operate as gravity does no matter how we think of it and describe or how aliens do. This stupid witch thing should be the same way, and with a talented writer who really cared about Star Wars, there could have been the potential for some good storytelling there, but instead, they're too busy slapping their cheap rainbow glitter all over it to mark the new territory.
One thing the Acolyte managed to accomplish: unite every side of the SW fandom; OT fans, Prequel fans, Sequel fans, Clone Wars fans, Rebels fans, Mandalorian fans, spinoff fans (Obi Wan, Boba Fett, Andor, Rogue One), fans of the games, and fans of the books where they all say NO! to this series, and would all sooner take the Holiday Special/Life Day Special over this train wreck. Acolyte is the tipping point of all fans saying, enough is enough.
I speculate that Yoda might appear as a villain in "The Acolyte." Since Yoda was around during the High Republic era, he would certainly be alive during the period covered by "The Acolyte." Given Yoda’s age and longevity, he could have been approximately 700 years old at the time, well into his middle years by his species' standards, and already serving on the Jedi Council.
You mean they have beloved lore and source material they can _ruin!_ Master Yoda is the only one left, and I can readily believe his decimation is on the way.
Sam Witwer is the only person working for disney who actually knows anything about star wars. He corrects "legendary star wars nerd" Filoni on basic lore all the time

Just like how Amazon had a Tolkien loremaster to advise them on Rings of Power and then completely ignored him to the point he quit.
I've been getting way more enjoyment from these critical discussions than any of the series or movies for a long time now. Thank you for enduring these shows...😂
It's been dead for years. When the 2nd star wars movie came out and we said "NO, F!CK THIS, WE ARE DONE!" Some of us actually meant it, and never watched another star wars anything. Ever again. No star wars shows, or movies or anything. EVER AGAIN. Some of us have some discipline. Others have NONE.
The only reason they made this far is because of the idiots that continue to either hate watch or hold out hope. Hearing all of these losers coom over Andor is hilarious.
This is so true and it’s sad that people don’t have more self control. Grew up with Star Wars playing with toys, games, watching the old cartoons and movies when it was still in George’s hands and to this day I still love the ACTUAL Star Wars media and games but when Star Wars was originally bought by Disney I personally already knew it was going to spoil, I watched rogue one and the force awakens and that’s the only crap from Disney I’ve ever and will ever see, it’s a disgrace that this woke inclusive diversity crap is taking over everything in the western world. Luckily people seem to be waking up.

"They died, we don't have to listen to them, they're gone."
SW Episode 10: "somehow the witches who died in a fire on that one planet a very long time ago returned!"
Plot twist.
The fire and the dead were all illusions for the Jedi.
The plotwists are aweful also watching 3 episodes (now 4) or something and nothing still makes sense isn't fun, this is telenovela writing.
So far we have Mae that wants revenge and kill 4 Jedi Masters
We are told that Mae started the fire and we see that in the flashback of EP3
That flashback cuts out essential parts that imply that there was a fight
In Episode 2 a Jedi Master kills himself willingly, because he feels guilt (and yes, his Makeup to make him look older is aweful).
XD
Oh and the Sith guy can force push all of them away, lol.

I just don't get how game companies make a 5 minute cinematic like the old republic feel more like Star Wars than this multimillion dollar Disney movie/television crap we keep getting.
I know, right?!...that battle with all the Sith vs all the Jedi...superb
The reason why that happens is because the parent company doesn't care, they are not overseeing the project, so they can do whatever they want. I feel the Mandalorian was that way, but then it became a success and they took control.
Game cinematics are often all action or very, very narrow in scope. Not really comparable to a film to series.
The Drinker nailed it at the end...These people that work for Disney DON'T have the motivation to tell good stories that fit within the Star Wars Universe...What they have is only the motivation to push their woke activism, and the series clearly shows this.

Unlike most people, I believe Star Wars died immediately after Farce Awokens was released, which is why I was confused about the huge reaction to Last Jedi. In my mind, Star Wars was already dead, so why did anybody go to see Last Jedi at all, and why were they surprised that it was bad?

I'll tell you why people (me included) went to see Last Jedi. That's because Rogue One was a good movie. It was released after TFA and before TLJ.
This particular director/show runner did indeed kill Star Wars.
It was on life support, in a coma. And she pulled the plug to charge her phone.
It's Been Dead Since 2012
@johndonovan1786 I disagree. Rogue One was great, as well most Jon Favreau projects are good.
Mercy at this point to pull the plug
Married in 2012, discovered deceased (and bloating and swelling) in 2024, presumably died sometime between 2012 and 2024 in unknown but seemingly horrifying circumstance.
Died when the mouse bought it, although i didn't see it at the time.
100% The Clone Wars remake was the terminal diagnosis and the sale was when it flatlined.
It was dead long before the acolyte. This is just taking the corpse out for a weekend at Bernie's.
And the three men I admire most, the Jedi, the Sith, and the Force. They caught the last transport for Mos Eisley. The day that Star Wars...died.
The first thing evil does is deny its own existence
Agreed with Chris Gore, Star Wars died in 2012. To me, Star Wars is only the pre-disney era. Video games, card games, comics, books, movies, media is only legacy now. Disney took Star Wars, threw it in the trash and wrote some kind of sci-fi story mashup.
Gore is an idiot
Sooo many good video games in the SW universe. Hell, the cutscenes from SWTOR are better than any other SW content. I'd watch a whole movie just made by them.
This
Well you could enjoy the sequel trilogy through Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
You were twelve. You are now an adult. Star Wars is for kids. George Lucas himself said so. Get over it.
They hire Cultural Demolition Experts.
They hire ideologues from their own faction.
Damn. Wasted opportunity. Typical Disney Wars.
“Respect of the franchise…”
That’s where it all falls apart. :/
And just like that, you are more qualified to work on star wars than anyone currently employed at lucasfilm
Once again, a random person on the internet is a better story writer than the people employed by Disney.
He seems like a nice dude, I hope he learns to move on and perhaps become something new.
He still believes in Filoni though. But I believe even that will pass. I think Andor season 1 was the best thing since Rogue One. But I don't expect Gilroy to start a new project after season 2. And after he is gone, all hope is lost.
The top management is corrupt, so no hope

At least he got shanked by someone else in 1917
And the guy he was based on, Ryan Kinel, is also planning to kill himself.
So he's trying to be the next Sean Bean.
I'd also end myself if I had to play any part in this ngl.
hiring an "intimacy coordinator" just for a guy taking his shirt off sounds about right.
My comment is shadowbanned lol. I stopped counting how many times my comments were either shadowbanned or deleted. The YT censorship this year is insane. Of course YT leaves you in the dark about why that happened. You can really tell we're in an election year...
The shadowbanning and deleting of comments on YT really gets out of hand, the c-ship is insane this year. You can tell that this year's an election year...
What is that, is it like an escort?
For me TLJ was the last straw, i was neutral on Force Awakens waiting to see if it got better but it never did😢
Yeah, The Last Jedi was it. What an absolute mess of a movie. I still haven't seen The Rise of Skywalker. I have zero interest in anything Star Wars now, and I used to be a guy who saw the midnight showings on day one.
tlj was the last straw for me as well, i remember sitting in theaters and realizing that was it. watched RoS just because my friend and i always watch "big" releases together, sort of a tradition. we went in there expecting a comedy and that was what we got. havent consumed sw media since then, not even the old movies. just cant be bothered anymore with this franchise. its fun following people like drinker to see the dumpster fire develop though
What specifically made you neutral on TFA? The CGI? Cause it couldn't have been the story, nor the casting, nor the acting.
Disney is relying on the phrase “any press is good press” and they are correct! We need to stop hate watching because the only way the fandom really wins is to STOP WATCHING and ignore.
Agreed. It was clear not to watch any more after the first episode. If you have to hate watch it, pirate it. Don't give them viewer stats.
I havent even seen andor as that came out after I swore off watching any official star wars stuff.

1. She overpowered two of them immediately
2. possessed the jedi padawan and he didn’t do shit to deserve it except be there
3. Kid DID NOT WANT TO BE A WITCH, the “I do” was zero% convincing but the witches were still going to force it. Regardless of the following your own destiny bullshit.
4. “The universe doesn’t like women like us.” Sisters of dathomir were and are dope as fuck. “The universe” just doesn’t like evil dark shit. Like possessing jedi and forcing witchdom upon children.
5. The kid wanted to be a jedi regardless of how hard they tried to make the jedi master seem manipulative about it.
8. Space fire
9. The very first person on the show that needed to be questioned immediately got his mind read but then they just didn’t do it to anyone else when the stakes got higher.
There’s just no consistency here man and I liked the first couple of episodes but it’s brutal.

@@etherspin which negates her point if unity can’t overpower the strongest person in the room. let alone equally match it, coming from the powerful coven of witches that can create life with the force.
I abandoned Star Wars years ago.....shortly after Han was killed.....
Harrison wanted the character to die, so that was inevitable. But they could've written his death to matter as opposed to him being tossed away like garbage. That was on the writers.
@RJALEXANDER777
I left after the death & ruination of Luke during Last Jedi, the man who would do everything in his power to save his friends & family time and time again throughout the OT.
Han was so lucky.
And Cavill gets vilified for actually wanting to adhere to source material for the Witcher. Strange times.
Yeah and they would just stuff that with their shills as well. No matter what you do, you can never get around the fact that our creative legacy is in the hands of resentful people that hate the values our stories are built on.
They are real people, not the usual damaged types who clog the arteries of Hollywood
Leland Chee I thought did that, dunno if they listen to him or not
