As annoying as its reliance could be in Arkham Knight sometimes, there's no denying that driving the Batmobile through Gotham made you feel powerful. The Suicide Squad game, because everyone is supposed to essentially fight the same enemies in somewhat similar ways, doesn't allow for that kind of power fantasy. I could run over hordes of goons with my Bat Tank or... shoot a gun? Meh.
@Tony-tq5cz I too actually enjoyed the batmobile, even 100% all the riddler missions in the trilogy. Not touching SS. I can safely say NO ONE in Gotham is afraid of the ultra rich elites. They are scared of all of the super villains and their thugs in the city, and Lawless is one of them! It sounds like she wrote her own bio there. They really chose the worst possible character to self insert into the game.
Look the character sucks but plenty of people are afraid of the elites in Gotham. Before all the villians showed up the mob families were the most famous criminals in Gotham. Hell most of Gothams problems are caused by the elites.
You say that like every person who hates the game isn’t pissing themselves because they think they’re Batman, and the existence of this game is a slight against them personally. I think having one “self insert” that these fans don’t like isn’t gonna kill them.
@wolfkit2826 because the game is doing so well the developers can do whatever they want with it? Ignoring your audience and customer bass is a recipe for failure. Mostly gamers hate this game because the grind mechanics are boring and repetitive, the story lines are a mess, and the changes to the characters contradict decades, close to a century, of established canon. There is nothing wrong with having a diverse cast or gender swapping characters. The Fate franchise is a great example of this working, but in Fate Grand Order, the characters backgrounds and stories either fit together telling a larger story or are self contained, even when they are largely joke characters. In this Suicide Squad game, the stories contradict each other, the changes feel forced and not well thought out, and the developers seem more focused on making changing and inserting characters that fulfill some kind of forces diversity criteria INSTEAD of making the game more fun to actually play. You can't expect anyone to play a game that is not fun, especially when the creators of that game are ignoring player feedback and making changes that were not asked for, add nothing to the game, and feel forced and contrived.
@@Scudboy17 I’m not disagreeing with any of that. A lot of people seem to be offended by the game not for any well thought out reason, but just because “it’s woke” or “Harley killed Batman” or “All the girls are ugly” or “ the game hates men”. I don’t think my issue is with criticism towards the game, may main issue is a lot of the TYPE of criticism the game receives, which is usually based on people acting like it’s an abomination just because it’s not the exact thing they wanted. Nahhh they all scared of Batman 😂😂 The day batman goes broke is the day we see the real batman come out.
I wish wb had at least this much jntegrity but I really doubt it's the case
@@eon5323 How would this be correct? They had all the content developed before they dropped the game. They had no idea what the success of it would be.
@@stinkbanana2522 hell even that excuse doesn’t work because 3 of the original suicide squad members can’t fly either but they gave them gadgets to do so!
So uh... all I see is a bunch of people so disconnected from reality they genuinely don't know what "bad" looks like.
Rich are bad and then charge insane microtransactions lmao like bro look in the mirror
Did they not hear that people hated the cringy “influencer” characters in Borderlands? Why do companies keep thinking this is “clever”?
To be completely fair to the employees at the studio, I'm certain more than a few of them don't think this is good. They are likely unable to actually make criticisms or even recommendations to change it because management or higher is convinced this will work or hit their goals
My thoughts exactly.
It’s fine to hate this character because I am an ethical racist
12:32 no. No no no he's a hit man. What would he know about doing good he's on this squad to get out of jail because of all the people he's killed. What do you not understand
Wait, so she's supposedly big on ethics, yet the things she chooses to confront her dad, the ruthless career assassin, are a tattoo and contesting her engaging in felonies? Not to mention blaming him for the bomb in his head. And she has no issues with the other serial killers on his team now?
Who wrote this? They destroyed potentially real pathos and replaced it with shallow teen daddy issue. And nobody seems to understand that instead of making her a "hip with the kids" Robin Hood-figure, they've made a bratty sociopath with daddy issues.
"Bratty sociopath with daddy issues" well yeah, they're writing what they know.
Get in the loot grind, Lawless!
Perhaps we judged Marvel’s Avengers a little harshly. Compared to this, it was actually good and actually added things fans wanted like Black Panther.
There's a lot of stuff that we used to hate that looks a lot better now in hindsight.
Remember when we thought Star Wars was ruined forever because of Jar Jar Binks and some bad acting?
Remember when Shia LaBeouf ruined Indiana Jones?
Remember when video games were dying because everything looked like Call of Duty?
You never know how bad things can get until you see it happen.
if you lower you standard enough sure, but if you have to compare yourself to suicide squad to look good maybe it's time to rethink your life because why is the bar underwater?
@@ASpooneyBardonly normies hated prequels and CoD even back then
@@ASpooneyBard That was all still bad, and is a catalyst for what we have today
Oh i really liked that game. Still play it from time to time
Im weird so I like the game, but I would totally agree with you how lawless is annoying, and aggravating.
6:07 omg whats wrong with her face
AI most likely
Read in Mr. Plinkett's voice.
I believe people in the dev team who were forced to make lawless just wanted to see how far they could comedically push her character into parody before being caught.
What we're seeing is the result of them not getting caught.
So they fooled around and WEREN'T found out then. 🤔
This is great. Nobody really wanted lame characters like Deathstroke, Bane, Killer Croc etc. What we really wanted was......... Lawless
Be honest though, after this you wouldn't want to see the versions of those cool characters that they'd come up with though, would you?
on the bright side, thats a really f'n cool Space Marine model.
Damn, this is even worse than I could have imagined.
😂😂😂😂 bro
I never expected this game to take a hard anti-vax stance, but here we are.
Typical capitalist crap. Trying to appeal to every possible person on earth.
So it IS an anti-vax message! Thought I was going insane for a moment there.
Did she say "Columbus'd" i just fn died LMAOOOO
When does she say that?
