My sister and I are each making this quilt. We did the the cutting process at the same time, and that made that process easier. Today we are ironing a sewing line into all the small squares. Next, we will sew each step of our individual quilts at the same time. Since this is a first quilt for each of us, the companionship during the entire process is reassuring. Additionally, we're laughing a lot and enjoying one another's company. 💕 Having a sister: God's answer to providing a life-long friend! 💕
The Pirouette Quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I most definitely want to make this quilt in the exact same fabric collection and colors. Once you revealed the final finished quilt I felt sure this is the one I want to make for me. Then when you showed the Red, Yellow and Cream Colored Quilt that is named "Roundabout" for the second time in this video I had my breath taken away by the beauty of your quilts. Since I now cannot make up my mind which of the two quilts I like the very very most--Pirouette or Roundabout--in the exact fabrics you chose to make them in, I laughed to myself and decided I will make them both for me! Why not? Every other quilt I've loved--that I've seen you make in past videos---I've decided that I want to make it for a gift to various family and friends because I am sure they would love the gorgeous quilt as much as I do. Until today, I have never given myself permission to make a quilt you've just demonstrated because it is so beautiful that it just has to be for one of my loved ones. I have to laugh at myself. To make all the quilts of yours that I have come to love I am never going to be able to leave my sewing machine. What a fun thought! Thank you Donna for working so hard to share your talents and your world of quilts with those of us who love your quilting world too! Now I have to be as diligent with my own work, just so I can make the time and the money to make my dreams of being a creator of "Donna's favorite quilts" too! In this process, you have introduced me to a world of talented fabric and quilt pattern designers that I had never heard of before. So much talent that arose from a body of generational industry held close to each participants heart--a treasure trove of family secrets--that are now accessible to us all! I am truly grateful! Donna: although I have never met you in person, through your quilting tutorials you and your work family have become great friends of mine. I sincerely respect, admire and appreciate you, Donna Jordan, your husband, Matt Jordan, and your Jordan family / team... absolutely everyone else who has worked with you and continues to work with you (directly and indirectly) to create "Jordan Fabrics, the business" and then to produce "Jordan Fabrics, the UA-cam Channel." It really does take a village to raise a child...and today I am reminded that this is also true for business too! If there were such a thing as an Award Show produced to honor the fabulous individual talent and collective achievement within your world of industry that is brought to life on UA-cam's International Stage. I would definitely nominate DONNA JORDAN & JORDAN FABRICS et. al. cross my heart!
Another quilt for that ever growing list. I like watching and counting how many changes of clothing Donna has, along with nail colour. It tells me how many days of filming there were. So we can feel good knowing that if it took Donna a few days to make, we can relax and know it will take us a few days as well. Or more!!
In the top 10 of my quilter's bucket list is a Cozy Quilt patten. This one is definitely a contender. What's in the top 3 you ask? A trip to Grants Pass to shop until I drop at Jordan Fabrics.
I am amazed at how you cut layers of material at one time. I have learned to use the metal ruler for even presses with my iron, so I thank you for teaching me something new. I have been quilting for many years, but I’m always learning something new. Have a wonderful and blessed day...
I really enjoy seeing the pattern of the overall quilt at the finish! If you look only at the block it’s not so impressive. However, when it’s put all together- wow! It’s so very cool! Tfs!
These videos have been a HUGE help. Theyre some of the best tutorials I have seen. They're both fire breathing beasts when it comes to all things quilting. Plus, when I have insomnia they help me relax. So its a win/win for me!
Some of the patterns look boring until you make them.. nothing against the pattern makers but when we can see these quilts come to life it's AWESOME... I never miss one of your videos.. thank you so much 🤗💗🤗
Running a little late starting this pattern and fabric I ordered from you a while back. This will be a king size and a Christmas present this year. Better get going now. Your videos are so easy to follow and I need all the help I can get. Thanks for your support!
I love this pattern and your choice of color. I learn so much about color, placement and quilting thread Choice every time I watch your tutorials. Thank you Donna for sharing your talents and providing us quilters with such inspiration.
Donna - I have learned so much just by watching how you do things. How you line up the edges of the material and hold them in place. How you finger press to make things lay flat. The way you iron strip sets to keep them straight. I now use a weight to cut six layers- this from a girl who only used a rotary cutter for the first time less than a year ago! Every time I watch a tutorial, I learn something. Thank you for making these. I look forward to seeing many many more.
Out of all the quilt you tube tutorials you are my favorite, because you are thorough. I want to start quilting and your process explanation is easy for me to follow. Keep up the good and someday i Wil visit your store. I'm from southern California.
Hermoso!!!! Una belleza, gracias Donna por tu generosidad de compartirlo con nosotros. Adoro todos tus trabajos y sus telas son tan lindas, coloridas, son luminosas. Gracias, gracias y mil veces gracias. Saludos desde Uruguay 😘😘
1) I love that you are taking requests! Whether it is a specific pattern or, "how do I make a quilt like this?", you turn them into great tutorials. 2) love all the tips, tricks and short cuts that you always share....explaining the why! 3) I love that you are doing the "what thread will I use" and showing the quilt loaded. Also, talking about the quilt pattern you choose. 4) I love your nails! I'm starting to feel like a bit of a stalker! Thanks again for another great tutorial!
What a fun quilt. I could picture this is vibrant colors with a light sky background. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. The giveaway quilt is fabulous also.
I JUST GOT this fabric in a fat quarter bundle & I REALLY LIKE this quilt pattern ♥️ Thank you so much for NAMING the colour of the background-I always have problems selecting a good background colour because I have to purchase online I’m excited to get some BONE background fabric & put this on my to do list Thank you again for ANOTHER GREAT tutorial ♥️♥️♥️
If you buy from their site, it's Bella Solids Bone but you can also search Jordan Fabrics on their site and the 3 Bella Solids will come up: bone, white and black. All a fantastic price!
What a beautiful quilt. I love the evergreen collection. I just ordered some of Matt’s log cabin quilt kits so I can do my grandson’s quilt. I can’t wait for it to come in. Many thanks for all your quilt videos. For those of us that do not have a family member that quilted, your videos are much appreciated. 😀👍
I just can't get enough of star quilt patterns! I am obsessed! My sister made a quilt once years ago using the same 4 fabrics and every star was different. it was done in yellow's and blue's and it was just the prettiest quilt I ever saw. That is next on my list if I can find a sampler star quilt pattern somewhere. * * * I absolutely watching your video's.
What a hoot--thanks for responding to my (and others) request for Pirouette. Mine will be done from the blue strips I bought from you and many scraps from my bin, chosen by my granddaughter. (Her quilt!) Thanks for the tutorial!
Donna ~ You make everything look so easy, but I know it takes so much time and energy to sew those quilts! Thank you for sharing your tips and techniques.
Thanks again Donna, I really look forward to your videos. A good way to describe the pinked edges is "hills and valleys". As you recommend, I also measure from the valleys.
Your tutorials are about the best out there! One of my favorite parts of your videos is when you pick the quilting thread and I try to guess which one you'll pick. I pick right almost every time!!
I love this fabric collection. Beautiful shades of earthy green and brown. Lovely quilt as always! Donna you’re such a great teacher!
How can anyone DISLIKE Donna's tutorials??? This is ridiculous!!! Another GREAT WORK delivered Donna! Cheers xx

I love the colors in the quilt
Thank you for another great tutorial Donna, you make it so easy for. Happy quilting everyone 🙋❤️🇨🇦✂️📏🧵

Wonderful green quilt
I always get so excited to see a video from you. 🥰
I love your videos.
So simple but what a great effect when you put the blocks together. Love it
Your tutorials are about the best out there! One of my favorite parts of your videos is when you pick the quilting thread and I try to guess which one you'll pick. I pick right almost every time!!
Beautiful quilt, love the colors, green is my favorite color.
Awesome tutorial Donna, you always awesome ❤
Pretty! I could see it in bright batiks!!
How many of us play guess what colour thread Donna will use on the long arm today? 😊
I almost always guess the correct one she uses! Lol.
I always guess too!
I try to guess because I am a long armer and wonder if I would choose the same color as she does.
Thread guessing. Comes after she picks the fabric. But first of all comes nail polish guessing 😉
@@petersiliekrause2203 True 😁
That triple border made a huge diff.
Thank you for another fabulous tutorial, Donna💜💜💜
This quilt is beautiful! And you would never know how easy the blocks are! Love this!
I found my 4' ruler in my local Harbor Freight store. Thanks for the tip!
Very cool pattern. Looks amazing
