THE COP DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE OXFORD COMMA: The Oxford comma, also known as the serial comma, is the comma used immediately before the coordinating conjunction (usually "and" or "or") in a list of three or more items. For example, in the list "apples, oranges, and bananas," the Oxford comma is the one that appears after "oranges." One of the most famous cases highlighting the importance of the Oxford comma is the "$13 million comma" incident. Here's a brief overview: In 2017, a legal dispute arose between a dairy company in Maine and its truck drivers over overtime pay. The disagreement centered on the interpretation of a state law that listed the activities that did not qualify for overtime. The law stated that the following activities were exempt from overtime: "The canning, processing, preserving, freezing, drying, marketing, storing, packing for shipment or distribution of: (1) Agricultural produce; (2) Meat and fish products; and (3) Perishable foods." The absence of a comma after "shipment" led to confusion. The drivers argued that "packing for shipment or distribution" was a single activity, and since they only did the distribution and not the packing, they should be eligible for overtime. The dairy company, on the other hand, argued that "packing for shipment" and "distribution" were two separate activities, and thus the drivers were exempt from overtime. The court sided with the drivers, stating that the absence of the Oxford comma created ambiguity. As a result, the dairy company had to settle the dispute for $5 million (though the case is often colloquially referred to as the "$13 million comma" due to initial estimates of potential liabilities). This case was celebrated by grammarians and advocates of the Oxford comma as it underscored the importance of clarity in written communication. It served as a real-world example of how a seemingly small punctuation mark could have significant legal and financial implications.
I truly appreciate the fact that you took the time to make this comment & thoroughly explain the immense importance of a single punctuation mark when it comes to the actual meaning of a statement.. I didn’t know about any of that & didn’t even know that’s what it was actually called. So thank you so very much for that as I definitely enjoyed reading your comment & learning something new from your knowledge..
I love the calm disposition of your audits, knowing the law makes it a slam dunk in your favor it should be mandatory for all public servants to attend classes on public photography so this won't be happening everywhere, the lady that called 911 should be suspended for escalating for the customers to complain, she is an embarrassment to that department and she should face consequences for her actions
How in the heck can some of these auditing videos already been out 8 years and we still have cops so misinformed an educated about the law? Unbelievable!!!
Because the cops are just like this postal worker, even though they are told you can do what you’re doing, their ego can’t accept they don’t have authority to make you stop.
You would think with all of social media these days that people especially public workers would know the law by now and stop calling the police everytime someone pulls a camera out but i love the entertainment
We have two generations of social media brainwashed narcissists that are bootlickers. If you don’t do as they say, they call the police for anything. They have been brainwashed to snitch on their neighbors to the government.
Poster 7 1) Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums": This part establishes the locations where photographs can be taken for news purposes. 2) “when used for public meetings": This condition specifies that photographs can only be taken in these locations if they are being used for public meetings. So, based on the structure of the sentence and the placement of the condition ("when used for public meetings"), it implies that recording is allowed in all the listed locations (entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, and auditoriums) only when public meetings are being held in those places. Therefore, recording is not allowed in those places unless public meetings are taking place. Learn basic English
Best way to combat the ignorant that officer was displaying over poster 7 is to ask him if AND and OR mean the same things... This is first grade English and is inclusive or is exclusive therefore everything after or only pertains to things that come after or it is excluded from the rest of the sentence again first grade English lol If you needs an example ask him if these two sentences mean the same thing I'll give you a kick in the face AND $100 I'll give you a kick in the face OR $100
You know what is worse than one ignorant person, a group of them, encouraging and reinforcing the ignorance. Appreciate what you do brother and love the content.
Why do we allow half of these government agencies to exist with the post office being the primary example. Instead of stating : “Don’t Go Postal”; Lets start stating:
“Don’t Go to the Post Office” !!!!!!! …
Good point
Showty got educated today James. Good job brother.
Thanks alot
Postal 7 is 20years old and been in place for that long. These employees have no clue, but when they get informed they still don't get it. Just selfish people.
Shameful
Actually US Code of Conduct Title 39 (the actual federal law poster 7 is based on) was enacted in 1960
They are so quick to call 911 for a non emergency or no crime happening, so they make a crime by calling.
Criminal trespass is a crime
@keithziegler8881 yes it is but trespassing has to happen right.
@@daddyswift9301 when they tell you to stop filming them to leave and you don't... At that moment you are trespassing
@@keithziegler8881 WTF Did you watch the same video?
@keithziegler8881 no not always do you know the laws where he's at. The laws where I'm at they can't make me stop recording as long as they are talking to me.
Oh My what's up with the hair of Zylka ??? He needs a cap for sure... the other officers cap was a joke tho.
It’s sad to see how easily, a sister calls, the men with guns to hurt you And impose her well, and her feelings about you exercising your right as a citizen and your constitutional, right…….😢 sad
I want to scream out loud in the middle of their lobby ‘the same law that allows you to record us in public, allows us to record you!!’ That postal employ is actin a fool.
Exactly
The cop reading poster 7 is proof it were needed of the low standard of education required to be a police officer in this town.
TTA hasn't faced this kind of push back at a post office in a while
🤣
I was embarrassed as a human to hear how stupid that cop sounded, attempting to read and make sense of poster 7. That shit hurt my brain
🤣
What is permitted can only be prohibited for confidentiality.
Meaning unauthorized and secure areas.
Like behind a counter etc
People always have to try to belittle someone by saying "Get a job". We are so glad you are checking if they will not stomp on yours and our rights. I have to add this cop is just being an idiot jerk Thank you James.
You're absolutely welcome
I far as I'm concerned that first cop you talked to is one of the most dangerous kind of cops.
Agreed 100%
You forgot to add about lil Shorty's attitude when she said, ESPECIALLY not her, like the fake law she was quoting specifically put HER name in it! 😂😂😂😂
I’ve been waiting for about month and half for a Rockford location to be done . It’s bad out here and we need this
I got you
“Well, all it mentions is for news purposes.” “There has to be a public meeting going on.” “What news agency are you working for?“ Did the taller officer just fall off the back of a turnip truck?
🤣🤣
Love your videos. James your super awesome brother. You definitely got my support 100%
I appreciate that!
"NEWS" News is merely the sharing of information of any event or topic that others may want or need to know. The proper handling of your records or application is news to many people with the experiences that many of us have witnessed or have been subjected to, and "News" also means "new information" can be from any source, private or of the commerce corporate media outlets.
You're absolutely right
I love the way u do a good job u educating public officials who care not to have much respect for citizens
Thanks alot
15:56 That officer was really ignorant of the law. How does someone like that get a job to serve the public, but doesn't know even the basic differences between federal and state, jurisdictions when referring to criminality. TTA you educated him perfectly as always but at this point, he was defiant of your responses.
Definitely
Expose ALL those tyrants. What the heck happened to your beautiful country?? Snowflakes all around too
It is my understanding that if the police does NOT have an agreement in place, the police can't even come into the post office with their guns. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
You're absolutely right
Cop with the glasses is a major brain obviously. 😂
🤣🤣
THE COP DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE OXFORD COMMA: The Oxford comma, also known as the serial comma, is the comma used immediately before the coordinating conjunction (usually "and" or "or") in a list of three or more items. For example, in the list "apples, oranges, and bananas," the Oxford comma is the one that appears after "oranges." One of the most famous cases highlighting the importance of the Oxford comma is the "$13 million comma" incident. Here's a brief overview:
In 2017, a legal dispute arose between a dairy company in Maine and its truck drivers over overtime pay. The disagreement centered on the interpretation of a state law that listed the activities that did not qualify for overtime. The law stated that the following activities were exempt from overtime: "The canning, processing, preserving, freezing, drying, marketing, storing, packing for shipment or distribution of: (1) Agricultural produce; (2) Meat and fish products; and (3) Perishable foods."
The absence of a comma after "shipment" led to confusion.
Thanks for that info and your support
I love the calm disposition of your audits, knowing the law makes it a slam dunk in your favor it should be mandatory for all public servants to attend classes on public photography so this won't be happening everywhere, the lady that called 911 should be suspended for escalating for the customers to complain, she is an embarrassment to that department and she should face consequences for her actions
You're absolutely right..thanks alot for the support
How in the heck can some of these auditing videos already been out 8 years and we still have cops so misinformed an educated about the law? Unbelievable!!!
Because the cops are just like this postal worker, even though they are told you can do what you’re doing, their ego can’t accept they don’t have authority to make you stop.
Because police only know one law theirs.
Shameful
You would think with all of social media these days that people especially public workers would know the law by now and stop calling the police everytime someone pulls a camera out but i love the entertainment
We have two generations of social media brainwashed narcissists that are bootlickers. If you don’t do as they say, they call the police for anything. They have been brainwashed to snitch on their neighbors to the government.
Pitiful
Poster 7
1) Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums": This part establishes the locations where photographs can be taken for news purposes.
I appreciate you bro, keep doing your thing, you're the boss!!!!!!
I appreciate that
Best way to combat the ignorant that officer was displaying over poster 7 is to ask him if AND and OR mean the same things... This is first grade English and is inclusive or is exclusive therefore everything after or only pertains to things that come after or it is excluded from the rest of the sentence again first grade English lol
If you needs an example ask him if these two sentences mean the same thing
I'll give you a kick in the face AND $100
I'll give you a kick in the face OR $100
Why employees have such a negative first response
Good question
😂 You left Baby Girl Saltier than a Peanut . Poor husband. He won’t have a good evening. And it’s all because of OUR CONSTITUTION 🤣🤣. Good work man 👊🏿
You know what is worse than one ignorant person, a group of them, encouraging and reinforcing the ignorance. Appreciate what you do brother and love the content.
It demonstrates the flaw of democracy. AKA mob rule
Thanks alot
SCHOOL HIM JAMES!!! BETTER YOU THAN ME!!! IT APPARENTLY TAKES A LOT OF PATIENTS!!! GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU AND YOURS!!!😊
Why do we allow half of these government agencies to exist with the post office being the primary example. The postal employees are well compensated with enriched benefits while the organization continues to reduce services and efficiency while the pubic sector business excell. Maybe privatized this department with pubic audit and oversight with compensation based on performance?
Smooth Operator TT, I heard them heels pimp. You busting them Stacey Adams? I love that intro. Well seasoned my man...
The female postal worker is ignorant to her job description and don't know the rules and regulations of the post office; especially when she called the regular police when they don't have jurisdiction on federal property.
Starting to feel bad about these Sun folks man..... ..why we can't get it together. They're alerted to auditors and still gotta revert to hood mentality. It's all ego.
Dang TT you were updating us on the results of your complaints & requests & lawsuits b4 but not anymore it's kinda redundant doin audit after audit with no actual results..i was calling these facilities talkin shit bout infringement on rites
