I think cops have always been both ignorant of the law and completely unconcerned about being held accountable. The public is able to witness this now thanks to cell phones, dash cams and the auditing movement and all the great work auditors do to expose the ignorance and corruption of law enforcement. I hope this movement continues to grow!

it is actually for citizen disputes as well. since we don't have the right to put hands on anyone or act out certain justices on our own, we do need a cop to do that for us.
if i had a property dispute with my neighbor and he was ready to remove my things even tho its my property, thats not an emergency but the next thing thats gona happen is hes gona pull a gun or i will pull a gun. so BEFORE that happens, we could use a cop to tell us whos in the wrong.

@@grimmow187 Cops cannot and will not do anything in these situations. Freaking wordsmith in the house. The dreaded dangling participle. Miss Cook was my high-school English teacher. I despised her and her class. It took me decades to realize how important Miss Cook was to to me and the employment and financial success I have achieved in my life.
I was a total miscreant at that time in my life but I always turned in my assignments. One day she kept me after class to have "the conversation" with me. She was straight forward. She complemented me on my attributes at the time then dressed me down in the most motherly of ways. She then completed the sandwich with my potential. ❤ She was more than just a teacher. She was a true educator. A partner in her student's success. She was one of many at my single A public school in northwest Ohio.
Van Buren school system in Hancock County, Ohio. I graduated in 1984 with 68 other classmates. Of the 69 students in my graduating class, 64 of us had been together in that same school since kindergarten.

THE COP DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE OXFORD COMMA: The Oxford comma, also known as the serial comma, is the comma used immediately before the coordinating conjunction (usually "and" or "or") in a list of three or more items. For example, in the list "apples, oranges, and bananas," the Oxford comma is the one that appears after "oranges." One of the most famous cases highlighting the importance of the Oxford comma is the "$13 million comma" incident. Here's a brief overview:
In 2017, a legal dispute arose between a dairy company in Maine and its truck drivers over overtime pay. The disagreement centered on the interpretation of a state law that listed the activities that did not qualify for overtime. The law stated that the following activities were exempt from overtime: "The canning, processing, preserving, freezing, drying, marketing, storing, packing for shipment or distribution of: (1) Agricultural produce; (2) Meat and fish products; and (3) Perishable foods."
The absence of a comma after "shipment" led to confusion. The drivers argued that "packing for shipment or distribution" was a single activity, and since they only did the distribution and not the packing, they should be eligible for overtime. The dairy company, on the other hand, argued that "packing for shipment" and "distribution" were two separate activities, and thus the drivers were exempt from overtime.
The court sided with the drivers, stating that the absence of the Oxford comma created ambiguity. As a result, the dairy company had to settle the dispute for $5 million (though the case is often colloquially referred to as the "$13 million comma" due to initial estimates of potential liabilities).
This case was celebrated by grammarians and advocates of the Oxford comma as it underscored the importance of clarity in written communication. It served as a real-world example of how a seemingly small punctuation mark could have significant legal and financial implications.

    Poster 7
    1) Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums": This part establishes the locations where photographs can be taken for news purposes.
    2) “when used for public meetings": This condition specifies that photographs can only be taken in these locations if they are being used for public meetings.
So, based on the structure of the sentence and the placement of the condition ("when used for public meetings"), it implies that recording is allowed in all the listed locations (entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, and auditoriums) only when public meetings are being held in those places. Therefore, recording is not allowed in those places unless public meetings are taking place.
