Great video.. just critically failed to mention that: Monaco has THE MOST exciting qualifying. For most GP weekends you watch 70-80% for the race and 30-20% for qualifying, in Monaco since qualifying is so important (and it’s often where drivers will crash because they are pushing the cars to the absolute limit surrounded by walls) that qualifying is as important as the race. Really cool history on what makes the Monaco race special. I also am not surprised after the explanations you gave about the track size and speed restrictions, the racers who start the race at the front most-likely win it all the time
When you realize Monaco is the only historic track that has never been absent from the *calendar* (2020 still counts even though the race itself is cancelled)
It absents from 1951-1954. There two tracks that have organised more than Monaco: Monza (only miss 1, although Italian Grand Prix never missed) and Silverstone (never miss)
Mistakes are very normal in life so when you make a drastic mistake, the best thing to do is learn from it and quickly move on because living in the past would only destroy your future. In 2018 i lost nearly everything, i was at the verge of taking my own life but thanks to a few friends who stood by me, i was able to get over my suicidal thoughts. Fast forward to this very moment and I’m proud to say that I’m a millionaire but i promise you, my journey wasn't easy but in the end i came out on top. I tried all sorts of businesses, i even sold drugs at some point but nothing seemed to be working for me. And on one faithful Sunday morning in a Life development class in church, i finally got lucky. I was introduced to a man who God used to turn my life around, talking about Mr Louis Berry. Louis is a portfolio manager who works for Crestline Capital, a US based fund management firm.
He offered to help me invest in the financial market and knowing how good a trader he is,I quickly took a 10K loan from a friend of mine and I investd everything with Louis. To my surprise, in less than 2 weeks I got paid my first profit of $6,291. I kept on reinvestin my profit for another 1 year and made a total of $404,850 and with that I was ready to get my life and businesses back on track

Maybe we'll get a surprise and the the first Monaco born and bred driver will win. Another interesting topic, how Ferrari became the quintessential F1 team
Can imagine some people getting confused with Monaco's 1st GP being in 1929 while the 1st F1 race was in 1950
What does him being American got to do with it?
vox are channels which little knowing subject's or what shows on it the they take channel
Really cool history on what makes the Monaco race special. I also am not surprised after the explanations you gave about the track size and speed restrictions, the racers who start the race at the front most-likely win it all the time
Vox and F1
Never expected this
So glad Vox picked up Nelson Piquet sentence, everyone only talks about Senna, but Piquet is also a 3 times champion and is brutally underrated.
When you realize Monaco is the only historic track that has never been absent from the *calendar* (2020 still counts even though the race itself is cancelled)
1951-1954?
Monza?
Monza held 70 grand prix, Monaco 66.
@@nicolastallqvist8080 Monza missed one year in the 80s I think.
It absents from 1951-1954. There two tracks that have organised more than Monaco: Monza (only miss 1, although Italian Grand Prix never missed) and Silverstone (never miss)
As a Mexican i come here after Sergio Perez won the Monaco Grand Prix, very proud of our checo, Viva México!
5:01 same energy as "We need to talk about Parallel Universes"
wow i hope they have many content about motorsport
More racing content please!
it a usual day, and then Vox posts a video about Formula 1♥️
*LETTER TO EVERYONE GOING THROUGH A BAD PHASE*
Truly inspiring ❤️️. Was worth the long read.
@Chicken Genius Singapore Oh sure thing, you can send him a DM on Instagram at(Louis_berry1)

This is why I love Vox videos, they explain the answers to questions you never knew you had.
the answers don't aren't rights ones but who word-word-word
There are things you know, things you know you don't know and things you don't know you don't know.
Thanks Vox for making videos that fall in the 3rd category ❤️️
As a F1 fan it's actually nice to see motorsport content here!

Nothing beats the Indy 500, the greatest spectacle in racing
Monaco is one of the toughest circuit in f1 games. I always got into accidents when playing there
I always got pole just to drop out of the points😢
Same, Monaco is by FAR the toughest for me, it separates great racing drivers and legends
I’d usually end up on pole just to crash into turn 1
I'm so glad to see F1 content is being picked up and shown by large media companies like Vox. Thank you so much!
"The Monaco Grand Prix is boring to watch"
*Formula E:* Let me introduce myself.
formula E using f1 tracks makes the races boring, imagine if they use kart tracks
@@nathangeco Formula E use urban circuits, which Monaco track happens to be. This year was the first time they use the whole length and boy it didn’t disappoint
@@nathangeco go watch formula e monaco gp, if ur commenting this u prob haven't watched it, and if u did ur just a hater. An overtake for the lead in the final lap, when's the last time u saw that in f1 monaco?
@@agrapanambunan5288 very true! The only criticism I have about Formula E is that it's so uncanny watching racing without the cars making any noise. It weirds me out. Everything else has it shaping up to be a very interesting and dynamic sport.
It's funny how people don't like the growing number of street courses in f1 but love Monaco
Fantastic video, well narrated, well edited and simply lovely 😏👏🏾.
Wow, vox × formula1
Yes
Yea
I am watching from Kalam Valley
RIP Sir Murray Walker 🙏
You can't talk about Monaco Grand Prix without talking about Kimi Raikkonens incident.
its not an incident its a great moment in Monaco's history
Vox and F1 is such a pleasant surprise
Agree
Monaco is my favourite track. Everyone hates on it cuz its hard to overtake but thats what makes it even more special.
Who is here after Verstappen won the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix?
Me! After this video, I realize that Kelly Piquet´s kiss for Max counted twice ;-)
Monaco is all about glamour and glitz. The race here is boring with literally no place for overtaking as the cars have become bigger and wider. The qualification is more important than the race itself. At least we have got legendary drivers like Nikita Mazepin to provide some on track action this weekend
When your favorite sport gets covered by your favorite documentary channel. This was good Vox.
B1M and Vox both making videos on Monaco on the Monaco GP weekend? Dream come true for a fan of both channels and F1 !
Wow didn't expect F1 content here,
excellent video!
It's one of the few racetracks that haven't been destroyed by Hermann Tilke
Yes
Hermann Tilke can't ruin the track if the track cannot be changed again.
tilke destroyed every circiut only turkey is good
The next 2 days gonna be so litttt. Hope Charles Leclerc gets a podium or even a win!!
O boy...
@@randi2513 Yeah, my comment didn't age well did it?
You could at least show the Indianapolis Motor Speedway when you mention the Indy 500
Proper F1 fans like watching Monaco. Not for the overtaking but for the tac tics from the teams and the excellent display of driving at 90+ Mph around a corse barely bigger then the car
As a formula 1 fan and a history lover, this video is perfect
I hope F1 finally gets the hype it deserves in the US
The races on this track might be boring, but driving on this track in a race sim is quite the experience.
Many blind and technical corners and next to no place for mistakes.
Very satisfying beating your previous bests on this track

Leclerc FTW 🔥
I´m surpresed. Someone remember Nelson Piquet, here in brazil, even he being a incredible driver, people always always only talk about senna, i love senna, but piquet was a devil in races, is just incredible.
They nailed it with that tunnel though. Iconic.
The timing between this and TheB1Ms video is a bit curious, even if its literally impossible to produce this within 2 days.
What can we say, we set the agenda these days 😂
Not sure if sarcastic. The Monaco GP is on this weekend.

Greatest race in the world. People hate it because it’s bad for overtaking in the current era of F1 cars, but truth is, nothing is quite as special, prestigious or challenging
Agree. It’s not about side by side racing. It’s a major part of worlds motorsport and winning in Monaco means more than basically any other race
