    Super happy u got to go enjoy the Clone brother! Hats off! I did notice that 2nd gear wheel hop aka Grasshopping. That’s a good reason to invest in real lowering springs rather than modifying. Not saying in won’t happen with a good set a springs. But, will be far less all day long. And thanks for mentioning Junkyard Doggs Channel. I’m blown away by the wealth of knowledge that guy has. I gotta tell u when it comes to Foxbodys, and being a Superior Mechanic. Watching all of u great Foxbody Channels has made me realize how much I actually didn’t know. I put my knowledge with yalls knowledge. And brother, I feel so Blessed! I love all y’all!

    If you look at the flow numbers on that head you'll need something in the .550 lift range. They outflow that gt40 style intake too so I'd invest in the edelbrock or trickflow type intakes. 65mm throttle body. 30lb injectors. She'll fly!

    That's a nice combo. I gotten that cam back in the mid 90's after running the e303(still one of my top favs) when lunati introduced it as there 51014 cam. The guy at lunati told me that the cam was designed to make substantially more power than the b303. Many years later TFS made one tiny change and marketed as there stage one. Either way in my opinion it's one of the best street cams out there! I have it with Windsor Sr. heads with the Chambers milled down to 57cc. The car pulls past 6500 + no prob and pulls like a freight train! Also I was wondering what's your opinion on the 1996-98 cobras? I was thinking of getting on to go with the notch. Figured with base mods like CAI, off road X or H pipe, CAT-BACK exhaust, 4:10 gear would be a fun street car. They seem to be good drivers and sound really good!

  • @TrojanHorse1959

    BREW2L, Put a thin coat of Permatex Ultra Copper on each side of your exhaust gaskets. Let it dry, then wipe a bit of grease on top of the Permatex and install. It's always worked great for me for many years. I used the white, Mr. Gasket header gaskets, whatever they are made of seems to work well along with the Ultra Copper Permatex. The grease lets them slip a bit when installing so it doesn't rip through the Ultra Copper silicone.

    My factory tach was saying 7000 soon as I installed my Ford racing tach which are made by Autometer it was only turning 6200 from what I have been told the factory tune has a 6200 RPM fuel cut off I may be completely wrong but with my personal experience it seems to be correct.

      My car no longer has a limiter. I tried to find it a few times. Lol

    • @travisevans7502
      @travisevans7502 5 років тому

      @@BREW2LFOXBODY unless you have tune chip it's part of the ECU tune. With a chip you can change that it's not like a MSD limiter that cuts spark it cuts fuel. The factory tachs are notoriously know to be wrong at high RPMs mine said 7000 when it was around 6250. I put in the new tach and seen how far off it was so that's what got me looking into it I noticed it would start running like it was missing at high RPMs so I got a tune and they told me about it why it was doing it they moved it up to 6800.

    I really like your vids need more like yours out there. I am really a tossed on afr heads or go budget sve. I did just get a set of stock gt40p in good shape for 130 bucks to toy with for now. What you think keep stock valves with trickflow spring kit or swap out for something different?

    • @TrojanHorse1959
      @TrojanHorse1959 5 років тому +1

      I'd go with the AFR heads. A few years back I read a dyno test article where they installed a set of AFR 165 heads on a mostly stock 5.0 and picked up 100 HP. That makes them worth the extra dollars IMO.

      Good to know. I read between trickflow and afr head 80 to 100 gains with a cam. Crazy numbers for sure. I really really wanna know what sve heads add vs big name heads. Just so much money to dish out I am gonna do a little porting on these gt40p for now and figure out a spring kit for it. I am thinking of starting a little vlog after watching all these awesome vids. I will do a before and after dyno with my set up now and after the heads and cam to see the power gains.keep up the awesome work brew2l you inspire us for sure man!

    Spring/cam combiniation mostly the springs, and the airflow direction. Depending on teh design of the runners. Also, Take the header to a machine shop, make sure the flange is straight. And switch to exhaust studs if you havent already, instead of bolts. They are cheap at partshouse. HURRY and knock out that O2 sensor, It prevents complete warm up, and keeps the car in Open loo when it shouldn't be. run rich, low power, etc. Such a simple thing has such big results.

      I would use megasquirt because of is easy installation. The other efi for multiport efi designs you spoke of are ok but require a lot of extra parts like gm style tps and coolant temp and such to where as the megasquirt is a plug in and go for the most part which utilizes a factory harness. I have an anderson pms and a ton of efi parts for you. Megasquirt is 895 for basic ecm and the other guys start at 1500 and up. I made 630 with a 302 and t trim with basic stuff

    Pretty dam awesome man. Watching these vids and hearing that cam chop makes it hard to leave my bone stock speed density 88lx aod vert alone. That heads cam intake combo set up you got seems solid. Much respect from Maryland. Enjoy the vids. Hope to meet you at a show eventually.
