Mil gracias, Mori Maru!
Finally found your yt channel haha, I followed you on IG for a while and then I saw you driving at this track day some time ago. Really cool to see a AE86 driving as hard core like this. Just did 4 laps myself this weekend in my (fairly) stock 200SX S13 and made an onboard video too. Had so much fun!
I've watched this numerous times already before, but it just popped up now and bedtime had to be delayed by 10 minutes, lol. (I have a giggle at 4:17 each time)
hahahha, YES. Slow car frustrations coming through! I hate that corner as well. I always think I under drive it. Thanks for watching repeatedly!! Get some rest. We ought to catch up on IG. I saw the SCX6 in person!
Funny you mention this. We actually exchanged emails to battle together after I approached him thanks to an invitation he made in one of the AE86 Best Motoring videos recently. Unfortunately, it requires a big sponsor to put it all together, and my current daily life doesn't allow me to pursue this kind of endeavor, as much as I would love to do something like this. And before you ask, no, I wouldn't want to do a patreon or similar due to, first, principle (my hobby shouldn't be anybody's problem), and also the commitment required once I open that can of worms, which would spoil all the fun from it, in my opinion.

Haha, indeed it was. I've improved the camera mounts since then, fortunately. You'll feel like gliding in comparison with the MR2 onboards, for instance. 👍🏻😁
Piderman surprisingly, yes. There's a very slight difference in tone due to the 20V, but it's very subtle and it's very easy to miss

Hahaha! At least I hope I don't hit anything when the car "suddenly spins on its back" for no particular reason... There's less space to spin out in most parts of this track than in any mountain road...😖😖😖
i watched this video at least 7 times and i try to do it like this man on assetto corsa but i can't understand how he does it i drive to the limit of myself my record lap is 9:26:384
I've driven extensively at Assetto Corsa, and the simulation of the car is quite off from the real car. Much lighter, no drivetrain loss correction, or much more powerful than the actual car, much lower grip too, so all the references are quite off. I seriously struggled even to get gold in "my own challenge" (Under 9, which the challenge itself isn't able to reward as, as even for reaching gold it settles for a low 9min lap). Either way, I'm very humbled towards the devs for acknowledging my feat in their simulation.
I dont think that there is a camera mount that will help. this is an Hachi Roku. Racing suspensions for those are stiff as hell and inside everything is shaking. I like the fact that on straight they were overtaking You and in the corners You catched them up. xd In this car corners are different. You make them in 'semi drift'. This is something what I call '4 wheels drift'. When Your are in the corner and to make Your ride through it Your steering wheel is straight, but You're still cornering xd. This is the thing that was told in INITIAL D, and this is the thing that Tsuchiya said about an Hachi Roku. It teaches a driver and to drive it fast You need to master it. And I think that You got it, you mastered 86. 😉
Is that a GoPro? I have heard the original GoPro suction mounts are not really good for this. If it is a DSLR or something bigger with a hot shoe, you can attach the camera with two suction mounts. Great driving.
This is why I love old cars like this. It's just you and the car, no computer bs to interfere with. The gear shifting, engine, all that makes this a truly mechanical car, which takes a skilled driver to drive. Awesome run, made me fall in love with the AE86 even more :D
