You’re now one of my favorite channels. I love your style and in my opinion, the fairness you give in your assessment of the Septuagint vs Masoretic text. Hope you have a merry Christmas and please keep the quality content!
Stephen I am 41 and I was born again by the Spirit just a couple weeks later than that in 2006. The date just reminds me of how with running water from a shower in the middle of the night John 3:16 came out of my mouth as my life was in despair and i was totally washed by the Holy Spirit! It was absolutely from the KJV as that’s what i knew. Stephen you should watch Michael Pearl’s Eight Kingdom’s video series on The Door and get his book. He breaks down the differences between the Kingdom of Heaven(Matthew) and kingdom of God(Mark,Luke,John Paul) and how they are different. Using the KJV
My wide margin I got in the early 1980's. Unfortunately, My notes made with a fine technical pen are now too small to read without a magnifying glass. Also, I protect mine with a zip up case. And should you ever decide to rebind, they can add a bunch of extra pages for note taking.
Do you have any thoughts on how to 'jump in' with the KJV? I have no attatchment to it, outside of the long history of it. Something feels like it keeps 'pulling me to it', but it's hard to read. I have a great KJV that has margin notes for all the outdated words, but it's still heavy. I've been a Christian for a little over a year now, and I've tried KJV, NKJV, ESV, NLT and CEV. I've found the NLT and currently the CEV so clear, it's hard for me. Just thought I would ask, thanks so much. Enjoy your weekend and thank you for the video.
I love the KJV and think it’s unparalleled in its beauty. You do have to be careful with some of the archaic words. Personally, I think the majesty of the KJV is worth investing a little time to learn its language. But there are other good English translations that don’t require that same level of effort.

Kinda reminds me of when you see some old Okinawan karate master and his black belt is tattered and has white and gray from all the wear.

I love Wide Margin Bibles
Me too!
Does Cambridge still make the same quality as they did 20 years ago?
My hunch is, yes. I bought a Cambridge a few years ago and the quality seemed excellent.
Have you considered having it rebound? It would be a great way to preserve the Bible for another 20 years!
I keep mulling that over, yes
