But surely you aren’t opposed to worshipping God any day of the week, are you? Every day belongs to the Lord, right? Even if some people worshipped Mithra on Sunday in the past, doesn’t mean that that day can be stolen from the true God. I think both are important and needed. I do tend to think it’s less likely that the MT was modified deliberately, since they believed they were dealing with the original and not a translation if that makes sense.

As a devout Christian you make a valid point, well somewhat. I'm not bothered by the comment because I know what the word "bible" means and its etymology. Where you made a very minor mistake is stating collection of "words" when it's a collection of letters and books. Ok ok ok semantics? Sure. And I personally don't have to "think" when there is plenty of evidence from secular and historical sources outside of the "bible." Anywhooo, as you were my friend. Not here to argue nor debate. If skepticism is a bad thing to you, then I think that says enough

The scripture came first, and archeology is scientific. Scripture, seen as historical documents, can help explain archeological findings, but you should be careful not to make conclusions about archeology based on scripture alone.

@@LaughingOrange The point is our understanding of anything is wrong if it contradicts scripture. Scripture has the preeminence in confirming truth. Obviously that does not mean go around using scripture to validate every discovery.
