Thanks John, glad you liked it. I should have left the rifle so I could have focused more on the camera. Also, I wish I had invested a bit more in my camera skills before this trip. Today I would have been able to produce richer images both due training and equipment.
Thank you. There's even a chmois hunt coming up. I was unable to go to Slovenia, but I was able to secure a booking in Croatia. It could've been filmed better, but at least I was able to capture some of the beauty in the landscape there.

Man that is a nice video and some nice deer too. I'm going to have to start videotaping what I've seen lately the two Bobcats late yesterday was cool seeing them together. I need to do this its amazing what you see outdoors
@@jamesmoon6042 coyotes are a lot of fun. Seen a fair bit coyote calling on UA-cam and done it once (shot a coyote too) and I can really see the appeal. If I had that resource locally I'd be out doing it a lot.
After watching all of your hunting video’s, over the years, I have come to the conclusion, that weather conditions for hunting are definitely a relative thing. I would regard the conditions in this video as marginal at bests ..... but, I’m quite happy to hunt in 35c + temperatures ( snakes being the exception. Lol ) Excellent footage. Cheers
First of all thanks for watching. +35 Celsius, wow that's warm! Do you have to deal with bugs on top of that? Where/ what do you hunt? I've been out in temperatures approaching 20, and not being accostumed to that, sweat was just running in rivers. I recently visited Croatia for a mountain chamois hunt, and I was constantly overdressing. Despite the temperature showing -7 and -4 in the mornings topped with wind, there was so much comfort coming off the sun (which I hardly see in winter...) that I had to stop and take of a layer every day. I ended up wearing just a thin baselayer and windbreaker.
THLR.NO I hunt the Great Dividing Mountain Range in NSW / Victoria Australia. 35c is an average day time temp during summer, and there’s usually a week or two when we reach as high as 45-47c. We hunt Fellow / Sambar deer, wild pigs ( easier to hunt during summer, as they need water ) Most fox hunting is done at night under spotlight. Foxes are invasive pest animals in Australia. When hunting on foot, it’s the wriggle sticks ( snakes ) that you need to keep an eye on, both night and day in summer. Gators are a must have item. Lol 😁 Cheers
Reading the title I was induced to think you were using 308 Winchester, and thought, that's quite a change... but then I realised, no no, the 308 is another thing, that's the Norma 6xc...
@@THLR I felt lied to when I realized no 308 Winchester. Luckily, it was still a great video anyway! Just out curiosity, what is the largest animal you've taken with the 6XC. What bullet are you using? Is it a Norma or is that just the brass?
@@THLR Thank you for the reply! Was that a neck shot? What was the distance? I might be asking you easily researched questions, but I just stumbled on to your channel, and haven't had a chance to watch any of the other videos. Cheers!
In this case it was where the jaw meters the ear. Normally it's height armpit and forward side of leg. If angled rump towards me, it's into the armpit. If angled head towards me, it's out of the armpit opposite side. If it' a quick shot, it's basically anywhere on the shoulder. Sorry to say I don't have a perfect record on shot placement - allthough everything has been shot dead, I have burst diaphrames and polluted carcasses.

Thanks. Hope the editing will do the experience justice. I enjoyed it very much, big fan of mountain hunting.
Beautiful as always, thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheers
Thanks Calle. I'm finding that I'm enjoying a late hunting season more and more. There's so much colour and change everywhere.
Looks great to me. Thanks. J.
Thanks
Nice ethical shooting and shots... Good job Thomas.
Thanks Jim. It's practice payoff when the deer fall on the spot. I feel that it's my part of the "hunting contract" to provide a quick end.

20 degrees farenheit is not uncommon during deer season where I hunt lol.

Is there a reason why you don't wear orange?
Difficult to find a quality orange garment here. I carry a reflective vest in my backpack just in case I need to be seen/ found.
Ahh, the European hunting experience. Maybe one day I can hunt my ancestral lands.
It is different than the US for sure. Hunting is reasonably available to the public here, but nowhere near New Zealand or some US states.
