This is a showcase of all the new unique weapons that is available in the brand new Convergence mod 1.3 Update for Elden Ring. The Convergence mod is a large scale overhaul that adds 27 new starting classes, 45 new weapons and 360 new spells. These weapons all have custom models and all showcased here aside from a couple have completely unique Ashes of War as well. I tried my best to showcase all weapons' models as well as their movesets.

They wove in old animations quite well too, and I'm glad to hear you like them
not a big fan, while it seems cool the faith/int/arc favor-ability is too much on this mod, dex and str feel some what shafted in every regard for these weapons to them any justice.
I hope they add AC movesets in the next update🤣

I appreciate how many of these are just cool fantasy weapons that expand on an idea. Especially the twinblades, I've wanted a Quarterstaff for so long.
Also the Guardian trick weapon and the Heavy Thrusting Sword are amazing, love them.
Yeah the Guardian swordspear is one of my favorites of this patch

Kinda weird the thrust sword doesn't have many thrusting attacks
I've always wondered why they can't just use trick weapon logic with normal weapons that don't transform
Imagine having 1h-2h switch attacks in the same way as bloodborne has transform attacks.
Something I noticed is that the unique skills on certain weapons is that they use animations from Sekiro. For example, the unique skill on Yura’s Kanabo looks a lot like the combat art “Praying Strikes - Exorcism”, and the unique skill on the Palm Axe Twinblades look like that one attack the Corrupted Monk boss uses. Just thought it’s an interesting little detail.
yeah its definitely praying strikes exorcism, i just beat genichiro with only that combat art today, so i can say without a doubt.
Yeah, reusing animations is a staple of Fromsoft and modders
There is also many twinblade monk attacks there and from the nightjar guys
Ringed knights are in there too
@@theeliteterrarian1888 Exorcism is that good? I always figured it was pretty bad, since base Praying Strikes isn’t that good. The more you know I guess 🤷
Thanks Snuggly for keep us updated for the most interesting mods or curiosities, Convergece will be awesome when finished or at least more advance and with the official dlc.

It’s fun to see the different moves and guess where they’re from. There’s some where you’re like “oh that’s easy, that’s a modified sword dance,” and there’s others where it’s like “wait, is that… Friede’s Scythe? No, it can’t be, right?”

The Wukong staff looks incredible. Quarterstaves are slept on far too often in fantasy media.

They really are! And it's a shame because quarter staves/bo staves can have beautiful choreography, plus a well-made hardwood staff is legitimately deadly, and can crush helmets.
This mod is gonna explode even more whenever the DLC drops. More stuffs to play with.
Minor nitpick: Godskin Flayer should have black flame effect, not Destined Death effect. The Godskin don't use Destined Death, they use the Black flame.
If you saw the actual new boss where the weapon comes from, it makes much more sense. The boss apparently uses the half death rune from Ranni old body

I love the use of Welsh names such as Osian and Carwyn. Keeping in tune with so much that inspired eldenring
As a Welsh guy, Elden Ring makes me feel so fucking seen. Amazing.
Oh man, i really miss having a sleek looking Colossal Sword. Fromsoft just went all tits into weird finnicky designs leaving very few actually normal looking weapons. Glad to see Osian Colossal that looks elegant and sleek for its class.
Yeah, it hits hard too with no flashy effects

DS3 at least had the decency to give us the Zwei, Profaned GS, and Astora GS in DS3. Hell, even the the Lothric Knight GS was sleek despite its wide blade.
Really liking how much faster two handing the weapons can be. It makes sense that you would be able to swing them much faster.
I like that the Reaver's Odachi is considered as a halberd, because with that long of a handle, it basically IS a polearm.
What i don't like about it tho, is that it's called as an odachi instead of it's actual weapon name, Nagamaki.
a nagamaki is *way* longer, almost like a katana blade on a spear, while here, it is in fact an odachi, shown by both the long handle, and the blade that is much longer than the handle. they know what they're doing :p
That's what I was thinking, although another thing I'm kinda iffy on is the AoW's first attack. The weapon looks like it points off to this really weird angle, and I'm not sure if the hitbox would connect properly.
@@ValomyrsLightactually, a nagamaki is the same length as a odachi, it’s just that the blade and handle are equal length

Love that the creator of the mod used the moveset from the ringed night UGS from ds3. One of my favorite movesets
Weapons were great but the details they put in those ashes of wars and move sets made them even greater.

That staff is my favourite. Very unique idea for a blunt twinblade and the skill seems very fun to use.

These new weapons look amazing, definitely gonna need to play the mod again. I'm hoping in a future version they'll add a weapon with Ledo's Greathammer's unique moveset (R2s and weapon art) since that was my favourite weapon in DS3 and the giant crusher just feels so lackluster compared to it.
I appreciate that when Convergence does use assets from previous From games, it's always in moderation and feels intentional. Instead of callback / flipped weapons being the bulk of the lineup, they're sprinkled in which makes them more meaningful.
Ronin's Technique unique skill looks like a moveset from Virtua Fighter (Akira?). Love it
Reavers Odachi is sick as hell, can’t wait to go find it. Just started convergence and picked up Carwyn Epee as the closest new weapon from my start as the frozen lightning class. I already liked the great epee a lot so it fit like a glove. Really like this mod.
Their weapon designs are top tier, I can't wait for 1.4!

Gravel Stone Arcblades gave me ds3 flashbacks with that dual handed m1 animation and the unique skill animation
Kanabo gives me those Shugoki vibes, and that sword/spear is one of the most amazing weapons I have ever seen

That Gravel Stone Archblade made me wish for more Paired Weapon's animation to be reused, like The Drangs, Gotthard Twinswords, Crow's Quill, Valorheart and Farron GS

Any mod that gives us praying strikes, gundyr kick or any other sekiro moves is automatically good for me, i also like how none of them are too flashy or ridiculous some of them like the triple storm attack from zephyr blades could fit perfectly in the game

Handed weapon art transitions are just awesome.
I wish parry could just be a kind of universal action that's effects vary based off of equipped actions so we could have weapon arts better integrated into the moveset.
Yeah Convergence really does well with animations and Fx, they definitely have a ton of experience doing so
@@SnugglytheCrowDS1 not having a dedicated block button and utilizing sekiro-style deflects and the block frames on the heavy attacks of carian weapons would most certainly help a bloodborne successor stand apart from the crowd.

Just finished a playthrough with the Godskin Flayer. It’s way too OP! Just melted everything with it’s AoW charged heavy skill and it has ridiculous range.

i find the war scythe just a tad funny cause historic war scythes had upward pointing blades, not sideways ones.
These are so smoooth, and really hope stuff like this gets added to the dlc, I still find plenty of the original ash of wars just no that interesting.
What makes so many of these great is having a follow up attack, but even without the ash of wars draining your fp, the natural moveset is so good

As Sister Friede is my favourite Boss ever and her scythe my favourite Weapon in DS Trilogy, Godskin Flayer looks DOPE to me.
I can finallly have the churck pick in elden ring. The quality of this mod is always outstanding. I think the twinblades look a tad slow though, maybe just needs sped up a little
@@ascenndant9444 The guardians spearblade. The only thing it has in common is the animation for transforming the weapon but I think that's the closest we'll get in Elden Ring unless someone directly ports the moveset over. :(
Given how far animation porting has come we might see something before long
@@SnugglytheCrowDS1 a full-on Bloodborne weapon port would be mind-blowing. I know there was something similar in dark souls 3, but the modding capabilities in Elden Ring seem a lot better so I have hopes!
I just did a hilarious playthrough with the zephys blades on wind man. Made a running R2 poise break build 😂. Cloud form and running R2 is insane. The running R2 might be bugged honestly or they had trouble programming it because i was getting 2.5-3k at +3

ahhh, demons greataxe my beloved. i never could find an equivalent in elden ring
really awesome weapons so far. my only true complaint is that I've been playing the vagabond and obtained the osian's great sword only to realize that it has like no poise break or stagger on its ash of war. Weapon feels great, but without and ability to break or push people back, it will basically leave you wide open and makes it not worth it tbh.

The palm ax twin blades are just like medjays from for honor could possibly make that a trick weapon too🤔 would make nice dual axes

I didn't create the mod, but those are indeed one of my favorites in this update

Side note, is anyone aware of any mods that bring in the old Great Mace from Dark Souls 3 into Elden Ring? I loved the elegant look of that weapon so much, and was rather dissapointed when ER's Great Mace looked a lot more like Vordt's Hammer instead.
