- Today we're trying out the frost witch class in the convergence mod! This one I had a lot of fun with and didn't need to use my brain as much, a lot of cool spells in the class!

I dont think any class is overpowered.. When you start doing NG + runs you will need all the power you have
Is it convergent classes or regular game bc dragon lord definitely is very strong maybe needing nerfs

Agreed. NG+ runs get dicey even with new spells
Dragon Cultist trivialises the entire game with just two spells. Gravity, Glint and Frenzy follow suit, even if not to the same extent.
But Frost Witch definitely isn't OP. It's not even particularly strong. All the "op" videos you see from Convergence aren't op, typically not even strong, sometimes not even good in any way.

seeing the way you have your flasks set up with the hold triangle made the game so much better for me lmao i didn’t even realize you could set them there. now i don’t fumble through my quick items just to press the wrong one and get stuck in an animation
You can prevent that fumbling if you set your hp flasks in the first slot in the quick items and it doesn't matter what your item quick tab is set on, just hold down and it will auto take you to the
first slotted item
I changed my flasks and stuff to be Y instead of X because i kept fumbling and pressing X when i didnt want to. It was also kind of inconvenient to press Y to do some stuff because id have to reach my thumb. I get hand spasms and my thumb tends to lock up so having it on X is just much easier to press in the middle of a fight
i did the exact same change when i started elden ring second run two weeks ago. It is so much better :D

Quick tip, set your most common spell in the first slot and hold up on the Dpad to quickly go to it

I played Frost a little while back. Fun class, I focused a bit more on the weapons than the spells. Renna's Barrier vs Skarde was pretty hilarious. Convergence really streamlines things so each class playthrough feels super different from the last.
Frost has to be my favorite element that there has to be, And awesome videos like always you're the best.

Honestly, i couldn't be happier to see that a video came out. Right in time before i go to sleep :)
They nerfed snow witch in the most recent update. Whiteout used to be in the second or third rune and had much lower requirements and hit a bit harder, paired with the barrier you could stunlock a lot of bosses. Also, unless they changed it in the update, you could get a second rapier in the ruins by Iji. Duel wielding those just shredded everything for the first half of the game, especially if I buffed both with the ash of war. I switch to DMG when I got it, but even late game I pulled the needles out a few times.

I use whiteout+ zamor ice storm+ ice spear on the frost witch staff. That ash of war is crazy 4k-6k damage when frost is proced on the mobs. You can just delete bosses, faster than even the gravity class.
Malenia's fight is lowkey HILARIOUS.
Honestly the Cold Sorceries of this mod looks so fun and cool. I wish the actual base game had more of them.
Try necromancer, yeah sure it basically says exactly what it does but hey it would be fun for you to be able to chill most the time while the summons do mostly everything

I dont think they touch on the communion much, but they do have a dragon cultist class which is one of the stronger classes!
Frozen spikes are op. It has a huge range. I hit the boss in a cave at the entrance

The better staff for this class, at least when I last played, has the Ice Spear skill on it. I was getting better DPS spamming my staff's Art than using any spells or weapons 😭

Does convergence do anything for dragon communion? There's no starting class geared towards it as far as I can see.
Most dragon breath becomes part of their respective school, so borealis is actually part of the frost school

I initially just sent them an unlisted video of just the ad segment and later put it into a video, that's where the oopsie happened as the website only had one submission option after the advertiser gave it the green light. They greenlit the ad segment which was an unlisted 1 minute ad. Which obviously wasn't going to be uploaded in that state as they wanted it attached to a video. So on the website it got marked as "failed" and hence why I wasn't paid out. I had to contact them and that's where they made the mistake and double payed. This happened months ago I tried reaching out and no one responded. It's not that deep just a funny story.

yes, you just have to delete the eldenring_alt_saves.dll
replace the file with the new one in the server right? not just delete. thought that was an important detail no?@@curtisthecactus
@@ratdisorder the new file allows you to use characters made before the new patch, you can create a new character and play with just deleting the file

didn't see the new post in the discord! That was their quick fix when the patch first dropped just delete the file and game, glad there's an alternative for people who want to use their old saves!
