You’re correct on the Concord but the fastest subsonic airliners were the Convair 880 and 990 still have speed records! Though the prototype DC-8 did go supersonic in a dive during testing for a short time period! 👍
The planes that will be used for the new AF1 have been redesigned. That's why they come with a cost of $2 billion each. These are one off custom versions of the 747-8, not the standard passenger version for commercial airline use.
Traditional designs are more timeless. Contemporary designs seldom age gracefully. This is just another example of more profligate spending chasing form over substance.
I don’t like the transition to the extra modern, hospital-like all white interiors. The wood and brown of the older version seems much more welcoming and warm.
Return? Ha! trump had better go and get his old condemned 757. It’s sitting on the side of the runway at some airport. It’s missing an engine or two (which he can’t afford to fix). It’s okay, though. He won’t need it in prison.
The president's bedroom and office can be sealed completely off the rest of the plane, in case of an internal thread, like a secret service officer going rogue or beeing manipulated Manchurian- Candidate-style, or a thread involving chemical or biological weapons. Both rooms have access to the cockpit and the main steering of the plane. However, the plane can land by itself with the president as its last passenger, in case every other person on board is unconscious or worse. A true masterpiece of modern construction skills!

Very nice and amazing video. Very well explained. Thank you for sharing this video. Very imformative video.
Keep the current livery colors and pattern. Its what distinguishes the plan from just an ordinary commercial plane
America is amazing
The planes that will be used for the new AF1 have been redesigned. That's why they come with a cost of $2 billion each. These are one off custom versions of the 747-8, not the standard passenger version for commercial airline use.
Hello there what year did they start building this plane and what year did they finnish building the plane.
People always say we need change then when something changes they freak out about it. Change the livery, this is a prime opportunity
The new livery looks like Japan's Air Force One
@@BadDriversOfTheIllawarra Chumps livery scheme looks like a bankrupt casinos plane, oh wait...

Wow, I just love the US.
So organized. Good job
Yeah. Trump really organized America. biden is disorganizing it.
@@geothompson9866 Stay salty!
Especially when invading occupying and bombing other countries
@@geothompson9866 Trump organized it so well that he didn’t need to win a second term. He was good with just one! Haha!
Alright lets keep politics out of this everyone.
Traditional designs are more timeless. Contemporary designs seldom age gracefully.
This is just another example of more profligate spending chasing form over substance.
Jackie Kennedy picked out the baby blue in the 60s it’s iconic yes presidential or American maybe.
I love Air Force one ❤️
I don’t like the transition to the extra modern, hospital-like all white interiors. The wood and brown of the older version seems much more welcoming and warm.
These planes won't be delivered until 2024. I'm sure there will be changes made to the interior design/color by then.
Just in time for Trump's return LOL
Return? Ha! trump had better go and get his old condemned 757. It’s sitting on the side of the runway at some airport. It’s missing an engine or two (which he can’t afford to fix). It’s okay, though. He won’t need it in prison.
@@r1explode1 🙄 your TDS is showing
@@donaldshannon6541 gonna be hard to fly or even get re-elected from prison
@@r1explode1 Famous last words.
I think the existing color scheme of AirForce One should remain for the new fleet that is coming !! It is iconic, has world wide recognition and a softer more impressive appearance than the proposed colors !!
Wow at 5:44 ...is that a symbol of domaninace?
Probably good to boost confidence
I don't like the new paint schemas it looks more like a regular airline.
I believe that Biden will change the color scheme back to the traditional colors. Besides, trump’s paint scheme looks A LOT like Putin’s plane. Coincidence? I think NOT!
@@r1explode1 I'm guessing you were meaning the airplane livery looked a lot like Trump's plane? That is absolutely true. But honestly, I actually kind of dig the new dark blue, white and red stripe design. It's different, but I do like the original. It's an iconic staple of the President. Whether or not Biden will undo the change, I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be disappointed if he stuck with the new design.
What do you expect the paint schemes was done by the previous ad min.
@@r1explode1 It looks nothing like Putin’s plane…
the body painting of AF1 is almost identical to that of KLM. I cant tell them apart. Who came up with the tortoise blue motif instead of, say, a red white and blue? or does it have some defensive reason behind it??
The original paint scheme was inspired by the late former first lady Jacquline Keneedy. As it looked more presidential.and classic.i think it may have some defensive purpose too
@@terry4414 Wow. Thank you Terry. I had no idea it was Jacqueline's choice. Then I would keep it forever, since it is a historical relic. thanks. I know of her fantastic job to restore the White House to glory and get back as many of its dispersed furniture and decorations as she could. There is a wonderful documentary on that here on UA-cam, with Mrs. Kennedy explaining and showing the whole thing, ending with the Pres. Kennedy chiming in. Totally one of my historical favorites.
Air Force One 🇺🇲✈️ This machine is absolutely awesome.I love this.Fantastic project
Great respect 🕊️🤝
But can it get Amazon delivered 🤔😕
It all looks so cold. It kind of has the dentist office feel to it. The bedroom doesn't look particularly inviting. Everything is so white it's going to take a crew working 24/7 to keep it clean. Definitely not the interior that I would choose. Also, Air Force One is not the name given to the president flying in any aircraft. For example, if he was flying in a private jet, the call sign would be Executive One.
Found the air traffic controller
The last President who flew commercial while in office was Jimmy Cater. No other President has flown private of commercial since the 70’s
A plane like no other takes me back to the words I used during my 2002-2003 inspiring the community about salvation the words of "blessed with a mother like no other". In conclusion here while I was fellowshipping with God when I was in 2nd grade he spoke "Terrill I would stay with 5'8 because to me 5+8 always equal 1st Corinthians 13". It being 8:05 pm when I placed this comment. Terrill TC!
Incorrectly states this is the fastest passenger plane at Mach 1. Concorde (a passenger plane) flew at Mach 2.04.
TU144 was faster than Concorde at Mach 2.15
And it cannot reach Mach 1
@@Fluterra Yup.
Only the others are NOT flying anymore. It WILL be the fastest!!
i want to see how the escape pod looks in the new airplane? does it have white cushions?
So much white and blue will look like a hospital, the point of the plain is to provide comfort and security, a mirror of the Oval office, I'm sure the decorations will be close but not this drastic.
The redesign under the trump admin (and obama admin?) looked much better. It was much more simple and actually had a cool paint job.
No air 2 air refuelling option on this one?
I think they should leave the livery alone!!
The infrared counter measures should be updated with omni-directional phasers arrays MKXV, with forward, aft and bilateral pulse dual cannon rapid fire and full volley spread.
yes keep the original color scheme its our plane also.
It’s amazing just how far the masses go to treat certain individuals like gods
Air Force One for the protection of the President and Commander in Chief is necessary. As well as Air Force Two for the protection of the Vice President and Vice Commander in Chief. From US American Air Force Security Police military veteran. GOD bless America.
No ejection pod?
It's ONE five star cabin" not "five star guest cabins" - only the Prez gets his own cabin on AF One.
When I look at light effect, won't it be too bright for eyes?
"The 747-8 can go Mach 1."
Um, more like Mach 0.85 to Mach 0.93.
They should modernize the paint and change it to black or red to make it look more modern and sleek. The dumb old blue looks too much like a normal airline like Russian Aeroflot or American Airlines.
when you buy a car, one of the first things you notice is how fast is it? well. the house that builds that car declares it as the maximum speed limit x, but you will never get there, because before you get there, your wheels jump, the radiator jumps, you lose your car plate, and you don't see anything at the sides of the guide .. ..what do you deduce?
@@titaniumspecial4207 The structural designlimit of the airframe determans the maximum speed of the plane. In case of 747-8 it cannot go beyond the speed of sound. So subsonic or 1< mach.
Slight correction. Air Foce One refers to any Airforce plane the president is on. Marine One is Marine, Army One is Army, Navy One for Navy, Executive One for civilian planes.
Tbh, I really like the interior but not the exterior. The colors doesn’t stand out. It reminds me of American Airlines old colors.
It looks cold
As long as they don't mess with the original paint scheme!
Lots of white noise to clear the mind is also a benefit all air travel should enjoy.
Air Force one isn’t any aircraft, it’s any Air Force aircraft. The helicopter isn’t called Air Force one for example, it’s marine one since it’s operated by the marines.
Fitting call sign for the new POTUS aircraft should be Potato Head 1.
Previous paintings much more stylish
I wonder in wich colors it will fly … the livery or what DT ordered
Respect to the pilots for flying that beast
The commander in chief has a nice ride !
Wow! A heart monitor! Just like on my 3 year old smart phone.
No really. Even the most up to date phone has very basic functions compared to a full heart monitor. And it won't be 'just' a heart monitor, but an entire vitals sensor suite.
What? Heart monitors are still current technology, and will continue to be even in hospitals that won’t even be built for 5 years. I’m not sure that’s what I would have chosen to rip on when it comes to technological innovations in a plane.
Does it have a golden escalator?
Something tells me there's gonna be a Space Force One along with this new Air Force One, but it'll probably be top secret.
I wonder if there us a escape protocol if something were to happen while in the air. They must have something for the president even if it's a parachute
What's truly insane is that this project alone costs what an average of 5000 people pay in taxes their whole working lives. Cool.
Did you think it would be as cheap as a Honda Civic?😄
I chuckled at the concept of "landline" phones on a plane.

Hopefully the ICONIC paint job stays it will be good!

That new paint scheme really needs to be re-evaluated. It’s so dyed and looks more like a 50’s or 60’s commercial paint scheme. The most powerful country in the world deserves better.
I agree, trumps choice of colors would make it look like a flying United States Postal Service car 🙄
Okay I'm a little confused is this being done right now or is or is this just like a concept or are they actually building this already is it already in the works like what's going on update? 🤔
