      Thank you very much Sue!! We were lucky since we live on the east coast of Florida, in the west Palm beach area. I just hope the west coast pulls through this, we know what it’s like, the east coast had its fair share this madness!

    🎨🎨Oh !! At the end you mentioned a bigger canvas -- yes PLEASE do in Acrylics on bigger canvas. It's one thing I kind of struggle with is enlarging tutorials because you have to expand on the details.
    That would be awesome Karim if you enlarged it !! For soft edges -- could you do it on larger canvas using Golden OPEN paints??
    I mean you could even do a third one in oils just to show the differences while painting the same scene. 😁 I don't ask much lol . . . thank you.

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  2 роки тому +1

      Haha, I’ll try, to honest with you I did the same painting in oils the next day both nice yet slightly different! You’re right about the soft edges though!

    I have a question I hope you can answer.
    When I first started painting I started with oil paint. I tried keeping up with bob Ross unfortunately he was just too fast. I just didn’t have good luck with oil paint therefore I ruined so many canvases. My question is can I do something to the uses oil canvas to be able to use it for acrylic paints.

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  Рік тому +1

      Good question, and fortunately for you, there is!! First sand down the old painting on the canvas with 180 grit sandpaper and wipe the dust off the canvas. Second, go to any big box store and get yourself a spray can of Zinsser or BIN 123 primer/sealer, or even Kilz. Spray the canvas, then let it dry (1/2hour-45mins). By doing that you can paint acrylics or oils on your new surface!! The spray themselves are actually oil base but will allow water based or oil base paints to go on top! Hope this helps!

    As you said it sometimes we look at our painting and it doesn’t look nice and we want to give up, but I passed that stage mentality because I found out that as you keep on adding more layers it starts to get depth and look wonderful.👏🏽👏🏼👏🏻 keep up the awesome work your paintings are beautiful!

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  2 роки тому

      Agreed 100%, thank you Alejandro, that’s what people do because they don’t realize that’s how it works with acrylics! It’s the advantage of using semi transparent colors, the layering!
