    i feel you man. i have been cutting for far too long, I think, and this morning I could hardly get out of bed after a 9 hour sleep, and had to cut my run short due to fatigue. i think it's time to ramp up my carbs and enjoy running again.

      The runs are something else when your body has some fuel to work with, so much more enjoyable! Plus the body just needs a reset after months of cutting. Go for it, time to enjoy life again😂🏃‍♂️

      @@ColinHJS Yupp. Today I decided I’ll bulk for a few weeks just to feel alive again. I guess I just didn’t know when to stop cutting since I started at an overweight 190, down to lean 157.

      That's amazing, well done! I’d even go for a couple of months of a slight surplus so the body can fully recover and make use of those extra calories. Keep killing it brother🦾

    Bump up your body fat by 3%, that will be the set point for the rest of your life. Also every mle you run you burn 100 calories. So start carbing up the lost calories post run.

      Thanks man! Going for a run or doing physical activity and rethinking it afterward really helped me. Don't let the intrusive thoughts win brother, be the boss of your mind🦾

    Im on intense cut now. I. 6.8 and over 8 years i had build very decent musculature, but never had any muscles etc. Ive lost huge amount now from 139 kg to now 94 kg. Look pretty vuscular. I always thought my genetics were bad and that couldnt be looking good. But boy am i impressed how i looked after this diet. It was tremendous effort, countless hours of workout and tireless cardio sessions and bloody diet. Im now closing on to single digit body fat and looking pretty aesthetic. I always had low self esteem, but after this cut and looking jacked my self esteem started to grow. I have few kilos to lose, but i never been this happy with myself which further motivated me.
    Getting shredded is mental and physical pain, but for me its worth the effort. Also i gained alot of self discipline. My friends and family tell me im going to far and that i look great and im obsessed, but i dont care. On the other i see why its unhealthy. Because my energy levels are low and im basically pushing myself trough mental motivation. After the cut is over i will try to find a balance of staying cut, but getting enough food to sustain the training and health.I dont want to get back to being bulky again :/

      Impressive work brother! Glad to hear how much it has boosted you mentally. Don't listen to them ;) nothing more valuable than taking care of your body. Once you fuel your body with a slight surplus, you’ll feel amazing. Proud of you, man!

    I'm about the same size and shape as u. Athetic, ruck, bike lift. Cut for 12 weeks so far and am about 10% BF. I don't necessarily want to cut further, but I do want to maintain 10 BF % forever. Per new 2024 study-we can gain muslce at maint calories (which for me now are very low). Also per studies 10-12% is not an unhealthy BF % for men to maintain. 15% is easier of course, but 10% is still very healthy per studies. Thoughts?

      It depends on the person. I've experienced the exact concept he's describing when gaining even the slightest amount of body fat.
      My experience so far has been the complete inverse of what he's describing, and this is still with a visible abdominal wall, but just slightly less shredded.
      It feels like I'm 400 lbs and walking through molasses with intense brain fog, joint inflammation, and yet when dropping back down to being shredded again, suddenly these symptoms disappear. Maybe some people are not designed to store body fat without serious complications.

      Great job on cutting down! It really depends on how you feel, some people do great at 10% even with a slight calorie surplus or maintenance. It all depends on your goals. The real challenge is often getting to that 10%, but if you’re feeling good, keep doing what you're doing :)

    I like to think that being in the best shape of your life is more about how you feel than how you look, BUT cutting down to a lean weight and hating life is often the first step 😂 But the maintenance phase after that is PEAK

    • @ColinHJS
      @ColinHJS  3 місяці тому

      Absolutely, it's the price you gotta pay to get that peak😂👌🏽
