@@catchara1496 Temple University School of Pharmacy pharmacology lab last demonstration was feeding a bunny an oral lethal dose of nicotine. It was horrific. Two different kinds of seizures the last one so bad the bunny broke its own back. We were told at the time that bunnies unlike humans cannot vomit up a poison.
Why was this demonstration done? To get our attention. Make no mistakes because stuff like this will happen to our human patients. In my 40 years of practice, if I ever have ANY doubt about a prescription, IT DOES NOT GET FILLED. I have thrown away thousands of dollars worth of compounds because I had doubt about how it was made.

I assure you that eye-rolling had a "negative connotation" WELL before the 1980's! I was born in 1958, and, as early as kindergarten, an eye-roll toward either Mom or Dad would earn me a slap. They would say, "Don't you roll your eyes at me, young man!" It took a lot of discipline to curtail my eye-rolling activities! I'm sure any senior watching this video would absolutely concur with me. Facts that you get out of a book somewhere can't hold a candle to actual experience!

It's especially baffling that it's crossed the pond to America, I kiiinda get it in England, where it's part of our cultural backdrop in a very direct way. But America probably has more Native American, African, Dutch and Spanish heritage each than British, not to mention all subsequent immigration, and I can imagine now that like three quarters of American students being told to study Shakespeare are just like "........but WHY?"

So the cost of gas in 2009 sent me down a little rabbit hole on gas prices vs oil prices. I get that there are other expenses beyond the cost of crude, but why is the cost of gas in 2023 around double what it was in 2009, while the WTI index is within a few dollars?
