Man, I really love this journalistic approach you guys are taking now. You guys are discovering so many interesting behind the scenes details and fun facts! Thanks so much for all your hard work!!
I don't regret turning the channel to Cartoon Network one morning in 2011 when I was in 1st grade, that one decision lead me to my most favorite series and friendships with a lot of special people I'm still close with. Pokémon will forever hold a special place in my life and heart.
@@jocas7940 Same, it's weird seeing all these kids on here. I doubt there's ever been anything quite like the internet in terms of keeping different generations interested in the same thing and creating a sense of community. I still remember getting Gold the Christmas after it came out with my GBC. I was watching some video about Source engine games and it was covering Garry's Mod and I saw people in the comments there talking about how they used to watch their dad play it when they were kids, and that was some really insane stuff to see.
I have chronic insomnia but something about dykg videos just makes me feel at ease and able to easily fall asleep. Thank you guys for making these videos.
@@EvilCheeseMoon i feel you, I think I have the same. Did you ever figure out what is causing it and what to do about it? Apart from watching these videos of course haha.
Language learning isn't actually useful or learning anything while asleep it's been tested sadly would be amazing if it was a useful way to learn new things while asleep.
Yo real quick, this video is labelled as 'to sleep to" but its legitimately too interesting to sleep to, there are SO many facts i never knew and I've spent literally hundreds of hours watching Pokémon videos/fact videos on YT. Very impressive stuff, although not good for sleeping, especially when theres loads of beta artwork, i keep flipping my phone back over to look at the screen hahaha
These long form compilations are really great! They're perfect for catching up on trivia I've missed as well as refreshing stuff I might have forgotten! This Pokemon one, in particular, was really cool! Thanks for all the hard work!
I really do watch this video to fall asleep to, haha. It gives me a good sense of how long it takes me to fall asleep, too. All I have to do is rewind until I recognize where my memories stop and voila! A metric of how long I made it into the video before falling asleep! Great thumbnail, too!
3rd gen pokemon games were the ones that had made the biggest impact on me. Sapphire was the first version that I didn't have to share with my siblings and the one I could play with friends at school. I love learning all the history of the game's development history. It's the first game in the series in which you SAVE THE WORLD! I specially loved learning from DYKG that it was initially thought as a reboot to the series, because there was no backwards compatibility with the GBC, and that's why there were so many new pokemon and not a lot from previous gens.
This comment section is so wholesome. I don't even have problems sleeping but I love listening to stuff. It makes me sleep even better. By posting these, you literally help people to get a piece of life quality back
Ngl I'm only aware of the clips channel because of the steam deck thing, but these compilation make for some great background noise, also they apparently help people with insomnia so yeah keep it up you guys
I really did fall asleep to this! Thank you, oddly soothing Did-You-Know-Gaming hosts who made these original videos, and the guys of this channel who put all the videos together! Edit:fixed a typo
I've watched DYKG for aboit 10 years now. It's great to see how long it's been going and how much it's improved. And now DYKG is delving into archiving unreleased games. Thats absolutely incredible! I wish you the best
Love the work you guys do. I am not a podcast type person but somehow long videos like these manage to creep into my playlists. Very nice to zone out and back in to interesting tidbits and trivia. You guys do valuable work that i hope more and more people will learn to appreciate. Thanks DYKG.

The facts you make are amazing and well done. Out of all the Pokemon facts, the very first one about Mew insulting Mewtwo was quite an interesting fact.
I still remember finding my first MissingNo while on a hunt for Articuno in Pokemon Blue. This is probably the most remarkable pokemon fact in my like as back then I didn't really have access to internet. Thanks for the great job with the videos and translations.
Falling asleep to stuff like this is always fun, but I always pause it right before I drift off… the facts are just too interesting lol. Keep up the great work!!!!
It's crazy how in Japan, Pokemon had a million little crossovers and obscure tangential relationships with other Japanese brands and pop culture icons, and in the West, you will get copyright struck, cease and desists, sued for using Pokemon's brand or even just talking about it in the wrong context
Those videos are incredible. Though they can't really help put me to sleep because I've always been fascinated by the small details that can be in each and every game that I end up giving the video my full attention even though I've heard some of this trivia a thousand times.
This is such a great idea. ASMR style chatter while trying to get to sleep seems to be so popular on youtube. Its also nice to have on in the background while working.
