All is true. Kofi has been a great friend of mine for over 20 years and is one of the most genuinely nice guys on the planet and a monster drummer as well.
Never met him, but he is a great drummer. Saw his solo on UA-cam from his dad's memorial concert, and it was great.
Do you guys still hang out today like that kind of friends? cant wait till Kofi comes on tour back in California.

I used to live in Littleton Colorado and I remember seeing a flyer for drum lessons from Kofi. I regret not booking a lesson with him, simply just for who he is. I’ve been a drummer for over 40 years at the time so I’m sure it would have been a great experience to chat about Ginger and his influence on me and most all drummers. ❤
The lesson there is don't ignore a flyer for lessons it doesn't need to be a well designed business card
I was 15 years old and hanging out with friends when my friends older brother came in the room and said check this boys. He put on side B of Blind faith( Do what you like ) and it blew our minds to say the least. Needless to say we had to buy his brother a new vinyl of the record because wore his copy out. Ah the good old day.

Can’t really picture Ginger having a father/Son moment like that “Son,When I die you’ll have my drum back.” but Ok he deserves anything he can get. Fathers in most cases don’t live up to the hype.

Did you see the Ginger Baker documentary film, because then you might understand the family history a little clearer. It's a film called, "Beware of Mr. Baker"..
Based on what? Ginger Baker did sadly remarry some old cranky awful lady later in life, she did rob him blind and she did pull the keep his real family away during his last days and after his death....its literally on record and what happened, the hell is he lying about and how the hell would you know lol, as for making a living his name is Kofu Baker ya see....and he to has been a professional drummer for like 3 decades and has toured around the world and played probably hundreds if not thousands of shows in other words he's his own man he makes his own money and on top of that he keeps his dads legacy alive by doing awesome Cream and Blind Faith cover bands as he is doing now with Jack Bruce son and another member.....so you couldn't be more wrong in every single possible way he's honoring his father despite there relationship being difficult because Kofi is in fact a good man and a good son and an excellent drummer in his own right.
