Don't make journaling a chore, you will get tired of it easily. You can be creative with your journal too like making collages, making a playlist or movie list, or even tickets and receipts like a scrapbook. Don't feel pressured, just do anything you want in your journal. You can also use quotes or bible verses to start your entries. Just do whatever you want because a journal is something where you can really express yourself without any judgement

I don't journal but I do write, something I've been doing since I was a child; I started as a means to deal with emotions surrounding my home life. Even in fictional settings I was able to use it as a means to steady myself. Writing, whatever the means, is a very cathartic experience.

I record a one-minute video diary every day. It’s already been about 200 days, and it has really helped me a lot. Anyone can do it. Start journaling today. You’ll meet a better version of yourself than you were yesterday.
I started journaling in 2003 when I lost my daughter my only child. I think the type of journaling I can relate to in this video is probably the one about the future. When I lost my daughter she was just 24 years old and a very dear friend of mine gave me a journal a beautiful journal and suggested that I use it to try to cope. She had started to journal when her granddaughter died and she said it was a big help. My way of journaling is a little bit different than what most people think of when they think of journaling. I wrote letters to my daughter. In the beginning of course in those letters I would just tell her how much I missed her and what I missed about her and I wrote every single day for months and gradually I wrote her maybe once a week and eventually once a month. Doing it this way allowed me to monitor my healing. I am a firm believer that this is not all there is to life...... that death is nothing more than a temporary Interruption of life. So much of what I wrote in the journal I expected my daughter would be able to read those letters one day when we are reunited based on the Bible promise at John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 "the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". When my sister died in 2021, who was my best friend, I started another journal and did the very same thing writing letters to her. I just wrote her about normal everyday things that I would talk to her about if she were still alive and we could chat on the phone or text like we did every single day. I often talk about things that we will be able to do in the future once we are reunited..... sort of pick up where we left off so to speak. I still miss my daughter and I'm still adjusting to life without my sister but the journaling has definitely helped me to keep a positive attitude and to continue to heal. I don't know if it would work for other people but it definitely has worked for me 💟
Just knowing this method consoles my soul. Its been 5 years since I lost my Grandmother but still I keep looking out for her. Why didnt I think of this coping.. Thank you so much for this comment..

@@lindaobrien8538 and I'm very sorry to hear about your loss as well. The Bible calls death an "enemy" and that it certainly is! I hope the journaling helps you cope until you and your son can be reunited and pick up where you left off 💟
I want to share that before as a child I always wanted to write a journal but it didn't work out; but it was during the pandemic when I decided to do it, because I couldn't stand the confinement, nostalgia and a lot of other feelings: putting them on paper helped me a lot, to relieve myself and bring out everything inside me, to connect with myself when I have no one to talk to, it felt good.
As an older person, I do self reflective journaling. I like the dream journaling thing, I might try it 😊. Thank you for sharing this. God Bless You and stay safe 🙏 ❤️
Unpublished author here, writing has really helped me through some tough times. Even if not journaling. Just shutting the door, closing the blinds, turning on the AC, and getting to work on google docs is very relaxing. There have only been a few times where the situation was too stressful for that to distract me even a little bit.
I started my journaling when I was in highschool and I got bored and cringe so I stopped. When I was 17 I read it and find it relatable, funny and helpful. So I started again and I have specific note for every yr. since I like art I sometimes draw on it, put stickers, decorate it and use a lot of coloring pens. I really like how it helps me understand myself, my emotion and grow with it. Tips to add to your journals... MOOD TRACKER, BIRTHDAY PLANS, UNFORGETABLE DATES, YOUR FAVORITES IN THIS YEAR, MESSAGE FOR YOUNGER AND OLDER SELF, NEW THINGS YOU LEARN THIS YEAR AND MANY MORE.
I’m involved in a lot of music events at my school, and I always future self journal the audition process everyday for a week or so before the actual audition. It always helps with my nerves and is just a great way to prep mentally. I also write down 3 daily gratitudes every morning before I start my day. Helps with motivation
I do almost every type of journal but last one was new to me. Journaling has changed my life over past 2 years. And I'm really grateful for starting it that day.
I do bullet journaling, which allows me to become more organised during the day and keep me focused on the tasks I need to do. I include setups for daily wins (what was my little win today), things I’m thankful for, and goal tracking or life goals. So I sort of encompass a few of these styles all together! I’ve only done this properly for a year and a half, so still learning and finding my style but it’s coming together!
Whenever something bothers me, I go on my laptop to write a journal entry of my thoughts until I feel satisfied and once that is done I review what I wrote to reflect on my feelings as well as the state of mind that led me to the entry. It really helps because if you don't feel comfortable telling others what's on your mind or you want to understand your feelings better than doing a journal helps you express yourself to understand yourself.
Welcome back dear Amanda. I missed your voice. And since some months already I started journaling again after 12 years and it helped me to fight back a big depressive state. Without even knowing I was practicing all the techniques reported in this video. I usually do journaling while listening to uplifting music, like the one by Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. They were a true positive Force of Nature, writing down my thoughts and feelings while listening to them is really a medication. When I feel bad and I share that suffering with myself, putting it on paper helps me to feel better. And when I'm good, putting my best thoughts on paper helps me feel empowered. If only I didn't waste so much time of my life talking to others instead of talking to myself, today I would have felt much better and more confident!
I love voice journaling! I'm super expressive so it's so much fun and easier than writing. It's like I'm talking to someone without fear of being judged 😊❤
I've been Journaling since I learned to write.!! The best mental health habit I have found!! I mostly use stream of consciousness writing and/or prayer Journaling.
Recently I had started journaling and had no idea how to start journaling. Your video is beneficial. This video contains everything you need to know about journaling.
Remember, the most important aspect of journaling is consistency. Make it a habit, and you'll start to see the positive impact it can have on your life.
I’m Georgia from autistic very high on spectrum and the animations really helped me to understand a lot of things that I usually don’t understand and really helps me the channel gives me a lot more. I didn’t think I know so thank you for helping me understand a lot of things I usually don’t
I have a five-year journal. It's nice to see how far I've come even in just one year. I'm recovering from a burnout, so seeing how much better I'm doing now compared to a year ago is a relief.
While I was writing my bachelor thesis, I discovered a journaling technique called „morning pages“. Every day before I started writing I set myself a 10 minute timer and wrote down everything that came to my mind even if it was „I don’t know what to write“ until time was up. This helped me a lot with getting into the flow and clearing my mind. I think maybe I should start that again.😂
I do a monthly journal (not that much regularly now 😢)... in which I create expense tracker, weekly planner, habjt tracker. It starts with a theme .. and I design all the pages according to it such as feuit, flowers, coffee or things I love. I also do journalling about my work experiences because I'm at the beginning years of my career, so I especially wanna record how I managed and responded to situations of mistakes, stress and what could have been done to make it better. ❤
I love journaling! I usually just write for about 15-30 minutes each morning. I start with gratitude journaling and then freestyle. By the end of the session, I feel so good!
I love journaling my day-day happenings, feelings and dreams, then I can look back on what I wrote and say 'yeah okay, today was better then yesterday or last week'❤
That's beautiful! Reflecting on your journal entries must provide such valuable insights into your growth journey. How do you feel this practice has influenced your overall well-being?
Remember the key for journaling is consistency. But don't beat up yourself if you forget it 1-2 days and it's okay write it freely don't make it chore.
Lovely voice! Fortunately, I was moved to start journaling many years ago and I do believe that the process has saved my life. Certainly helped me keep an even keel. Not keel over with dismay nor angsts! Counted the cherished volumes not long ago: 600+. They are my best friends, along with my paintings! 💛🌟🍀🌕
I poetry my life. Both happy and nothappy emotions and/or happenings. It changed me positively. Now I notice weird details about life and can still remember a lot of them (for example what clothes she weared during our date 2 weeks ago and what colour plants she picked). It also gives me a feeling of pride when I read them back. Like ye, I created that piece. Especially when I show them to some friends and they wow'ed or smiled (feels amazing to me because then the emotion that is put inside was delivered). Also the best thing, my poetry doesn't have to be good.
I actually journal every night before i go to bed, it helps ease my mind to sleep better. Its usually about things that happen during that day with a mixture of other thoughts. I do have affirmations that i read after i finish journaling at night to keep speaking positivity into my life.
I love writing in my journal. Journals make great friends ☺. I used to write 10 pages a day when I was younger. I started one at age 12. Now at 55 I can't write as much as that..but still love it lots.
1 concoisness journalism- to let your write what ever type that happend to your thought . No edit 2. Intention journaling - how 3. Gratitude journaling ' -can make you feel good and attreact positivity to your life 4. Future self journaling - increasing more optimistic about your life . What you want to be , what you want achieve, how you wanna feel . Act and think . 4 Intention journaling - will achieve goals in higher rate . Help you stay motivated and track your progress 5. Self reflection - you can understand deeper about your feeling
I've recently, like last week realized how therapeutic bullet journaling can be. I kind of do whatever I want to do or I will do whatever I want to do I have a lot of stuff staved on Pinterest but I tried to highlight the good parts of my life and look toward the future, but I also include bits and pieces of the negative to remind myself what I'm moving forward from. So far I can see this working better for me than when I only did stream of conscious journaling which was a lot of negative. I think it's maybe something about stopping and putting effort into highlighting the positives that makes it stick in my mind more
I do a lot of journaling to free up space in my mind. I write about things that bothered me and things I realized/learned from having experienced them. I may consider incorporating gratitude in my entries.
I used to keep a dream journal. I don’t think it helped solve problems, it did make me happier though because my dreams were so awesome and became more vivid. I also remembered my dreams much more often because of the journaling. This was before I started having night terrors, fortunately that has generally ended. I don’t have a gratitude journal at the moment, I often Do say to myself what I am grateful for, or when something happens I am grateful for I proclaim & feel it. Thank you!
I started a dream journal a few years back then stopped.. Now I am starting it again. I wish someone could tell me this technique in my school days. My dreams that I couldn't remember now , were so awesome. :) Another reason for the dream journal is that I want to remember my dreams that I am easily forgetting for the previous few years. Besides it's so soothing to have a dream journal. I will write all the important dreams of my life if only I could remember them.
I have two types. One for the awful entries and another to record the good days. I did this bc having the good and bad memories intermingled made me regret looking back, and then eventually i stopped journaling altogether…. My feelings and thoughts got all “constipated” and resulted in some slight regression. I also keep a daily bare-minimum planner separately. No boxes for checkmarks- looking back and seeing how much i “failed” to do was not healthy. I just carry over the most important tasks. Thanks for this vid ❤❤❤❤
I somewhat do all of these in one. Found it as five minute journal and while I find myself often needing 10-15 minutes, it just helps and relaxes my mind to write down three simple sentences per day what I am grateful for, three about positive things per day, again three things that would have made this day even better and last but not least actual two things that didn't went as good as I hoped :)
im more to stream of consciousness journaling but im practising gratitude journaling too. im the kind who dont express myself especially when im sad or angry so this helps me to rearrange my thoughts and let it all out. but i know that i need to write positve things too so when i look back to my journal it will be filled by not only those extreme feelings of anger and sadness but also good things that happened that im thankful for
I love journaling, but I was basically doing stream of consciousness journaling only, but now, after those tips, I think it can be more effective for me!
Love that! :) seems like the universe is saying, "Hey, keep up the good work on your journaling journey!" Looks like you're right on track, and the timing couldn't be more perfect with this video popping up. Keep those thoughts flowing!
I use to journal but I stopped when I got "better". I think it's time to pick up the pen again. It helped so much in the past and kept me on an even keel and kept me in check. Sine stopping, I noticed one by one I stopped doing all the things on the checklist e.g exercise, not mindlessly scrolling, eating properly, etc. Due to a few life set ups, I definitely need to pick up my pen again. Thank you for the reminder, love your content ❤
i largely do self reflection journaling at the end of my day. intention setting is just tracking my habits but i do give my friends weekly reports. i also do tarot readings for myself in the morning just to give myself an idea of things, it all depends on the spread i'm choosing lol
When I was stressed, I write a journal. I write everything that I like, because I thought I'm going to lost my memories one day because I forgot every simple things easily that time. That time I thought, I got ADHD because there are a lot in my mind (and my social media feed full of it, makes me self diagnosed). I got crazy pressure from work for a year. Then I choose to go to therapist. Thank God my mind is getting better, It's not ADHD but stress makes my memories not working normally Btw I changed workplace, my therapist makes me brave enough to stand up for myself :D (Sorry for my bad English, it's not my first language)
I have an inner journal everyday - retrospecting what happens to me each day before bedtime. The inner journal - or reflecting inside is much easier than written journaling. It requires only remembrance or absorbtion of the events in each days in your brain. Deep down, the mental journaling enhances your memory because you think of it in a series of time each day from rising in the moring until bedtime. However, you have to be true to yourself if you use this mental journalinng, namely see who you really are in any situation. For example, if you face a challege, whether it is a diffiuclt person or an uncertain event you never expect before, what and how you react to that, how do you set yourself in such situation, person, event. The benefit in this case is whether you still adhere to your goal earlier set in the morning when facting such situation, for example, do you achineve your goal in less reponse to the negative trigger or do you succeed in controlling yourself not to overreact to such little thing as someboday cuts your traffic or interrups your speaking. In short, mental journaling each day increases your self growth if you wish the jornal in this way. Journalling include smany other benefits depending on what a journalist wishes.
I used to journal my dreams frequently when I was in my 20s. I used to have several books completely full of dream recounts. I also believed, and still believe, that dreams have a deep spiritual meaning, and I would often interpret them as I wrote about them. Of course, my dreams were always incredibly vivid and complex. Eventually, I stopped, because I listened to what others told me. My family doesn't see dreams the way that I do, and they would tell me that they didn't have any meaning, making me feel like my dream journaling was pointless. In fact, they didn't like the idea of me even just journaling my thoughts, I guess because they felt like I should just talk to someone instead, although when I'd try to talk about my thoughts and feelings, no one would want to hear it. Funny how that works. 🙄
1. Stream of consciousness- write whatever comes to your mind 2. Gratitude journaling - helps deal with depression and anxiety 3. Write about your ideal self (future self journaling) 4. Intention setting journaling 5. Self-reflection journaling - increases self awarenesss and consciousness 6. Dream journalling
For Lent i give up and gain something....i usually give up drinking and i add writing 3 things im grateful for daily....The gratitude list was so helpful. IT WAS LIFE CHANGING!🙌🏾
PS: Just as an optional tip. I like to look up journal prompts for ideas of what to journal about if my mind is feeling blank. Some examples of journal prompts to look up online. 1. Journal prompts for self discovery. 2. Journal prompts for gratitude 3. Journal prompts for mental health 4. Journal prompts for anxiety 5. Journal prompts for depression 6. Journal prompts for career / Journal prompts about money 7. Journal prompts about shadow work (meaning reflecting on your flaws and weaknesses, or your "dark side," your shadow.) 8. Journal prompts for the inner child. 9. Journal prompts for self care / for self love 10. Journal prompts for relationships / about heartbreak 11. Journal prompts on food / exercise 12. Journal prompts on memories / Biographical prompts / on childhood. 13. Journal prompts on trauma 14. Journal prompts for kids 15. Journal prompts for adults 16. Journal prompts for anger. 17. Journal prompts for envy. 18. Journal prompts 19. Journal prompts for reflection / Deep journal prompts 20. Journal prompts about family / friendship

I'm starting self-respection journaling :). seeing all of these techniques makes me want to try all of them but my therapist reminds me to take it slowly, so i just have to choose one for now. maybe after 3 months, i would add one more :). I'm curios with gratitude and dream journal, but every one of them makes me curious now!
I have watched so many of your videos, and I really appreciate your efforts! much needed in today's world. I have been journaling for almost 9 yrs now, I can say it is the most rewarding habit one could have. Thank you 🤍

I found an old typewriter on the side of the road and tinkered on it until I got it working again. In return, it serves me writing down my thoughts and feelings, just as they are. I ask myself questions, try to find out why I am how I am. Using a typewriter is faster than writing by hand, but still, I have to fully focus on what I'm doing. No autocorrection. I also use it to write letters to my children, which they are supposed to receive when they're adults.
I used to write the most random things in my diary. It made me grow as a person. But twice I've had people reading my diary read without my consent. Traumatizing me into never writing my pure thoughts and feelings down. It's always written with the thought that someone will read this one day
Lets pray for those who dont have a place to call home due to circumstances beyond their control , loss of jobs due to the pendamic ,sickness etc. I am greatful for the simple and modest roof that God has blessed me with over my head.
Hi, One other type of journalling could be based on Gestalt Therapy. Journalling the imagined conversation of two or more people and writing the dialogue for all of them.. including oneself and whomever one wants.
Thank you for sharing this chat. I love to gratitude journal. It helps me give thank for the small, medium, big things in life. I enjoy journaling it helps to go back and see I am continuing to grow. I also like journaling about celebrations🎉
My diary contains my emotions including some pages on which I wrote some situations which are felt by most of us in our life . I just love writing it but I need to make it a bit more personal and focus on my emotions in place of the combined emotions of all.
2), 3), 4) and 5) were important for my healing process and still are important. I also do 6) because it's interesting. For me, 1) doesn't work well because either I'll end up in an anxious spiral, or I'll write things that are not important, which will make it harder to find where I've written important stuff.

1.Conscious journalling
2.Grattitute journalling
3.Future journalling
4.self-Refliction journalling
5.Dream journalling
You missed intension setting journalling
Good for ya mate :3
That animation is so cute!
Fr
Yeah...so cute and creative 🥰
I love voice journaling! I'm super expressive so it's so much fun and easier than writing. It's like I'm talking to someone without fear of being judged 😊❤
I've been Journaling since I learned to write.!! The best mental health habit I have found!! I mostly use stream of consciousness writing and/or prayer Journaling.
Recently I had started journaling and had no idea how to start journaling. Your video is beneficial. This video contains everything you need to know about journaling.
Remember, the most important aspect of journaling is consistency. Make it a habit, and you'll start to see the positive impact it can have on your life.
Do you advice consistency as Everyday 2 Minutes or is Once A Week 15 minutes also consistent Enough?
I am writing from many years and today I realise, I'm journaling of all these 6 types without even knowing them, It is nice!
I’m Georgia from autistic very high on spectrum and the animations really helped me to understand a lot of things that I usually don’t understand and really helps me the channel gives me a lot more. I didn’t think I know so thank you for helping me understand a lot of things I usually don’t
OMG. The voice is so soothing and calming. Thank you.
Thank you :) Hope you enjoyed this video
I do a prayer journal in the morning and a gratitude journal in the evening! 🙏🙏🙏
I have a five-year journal. It's nice to see how far I've come even in just one year. I'm recovering from a burnout, so seeing how much better I'm doing now compared to a year ago is a relief.
The animation of this video is so cute and the narrator's voice is so warm and calming. Like a blanket keeping me warm in a storm.
Ok let's try! Bismillah✨
1. Intention setting journaling & Dream journaling
2. Self reflection journaling & stream of consciousness journaling
3. Gratitude journaling & Future self journaling
I'm already 1:48 seconds into the video can't finish it because the animations are the most emotionally stimulating animations I"VE EVER SEEN!
I don't do journaling daily .but when i experienced something happy, adventurer and when i am feeling angry, sad and overwhelmed with emotions.
I journal. I love Journaling. I journal, Literally, every day.
1 concoisness journalism- to let your write what ever type that happend to your thought . No edit
2. Intention journaling - how
3. Gratitude journaling ' -can make you feel good and attreact positivity to your life
4. Future self journaling - increasing more optimistic about your life . What you want to be , what you want achieve, how you wanna feel . Act and think .
4
Intention journaling - will achieve goals in higher rate . Help you stay motivated and track your progress
5. Self reflection - you can understand deeper about your feeling
Yes I do journal! I have been consistently journalling since 2018.
I think it's maybe something about stopping and putting effort into highlighting the positives that makes it stick in my mind more
By regularly reflecting on their experiences, we can identify patterns in their behavior and thought processes, leading to greater self-awareness.
I used to have a gratitude journal, it was really helpful for me to calm myself down and feel inside peace. It was powerful.
I like journaling, when i was a kid i journal a lot, now i express my creativity and use like a therapy, i create junk journals, collages etc.
This is the first time I've heard about dream journalling, I will try 🥰
Not gonna lie, I'm doing my journal when I received a notification from this channel. Coincidence? I think not.😊
Love that! :) seems like the universe is saying, "Hey, keep up the good work on your journaling journey!" Looks like you're right on track, and the timing couldn't be more perfect with this video popping up. Keep those thoughts flowing!
@@Psych2go Thank you! I sure will! And thanks to Father and Mother!
Thank God my mind is getting better, It's not ADHD but stress makes my memories not working normally
Btw I changed workplace, my therapist makes me brave enough to stand up for myself :D
(Sorry for my bad English, it's not my first language)
I keep 2 journals, 1 is my dream journal and 2 is my journal for feelings
1. Stream of consciousness- write whatever comes to your mind
2. Gratitude journaling - helps deal with depression and anxiety
3. Write about your ideal self (future self journaling)
4. Intention setting journaling
5. Self-reflection journaling - increases self awarenesss and consciousness
Journal prompts on memories / Biographical prompts / on childhood. 13. Journal prompts on trauma 14. Journal prompts for kids 15. Journal prompts for adults 16. Journal prompts for anger. 17. ❤ this!!! I started journaling everyday in 2021 and it has truly changed my life!!!
I'm going to try these. I have been disregulated for a long time and i want to heal from my trauma. I don't want to be alone in the wrong way
I have watched so many of your videos, and I really appreciate your efforts! much needed in today's world. I have been journaling for almost 9 yrs now, I can say it is the most rewarding habit one could have. Thank you 🤍
The animation is so cute 🥺❤
Esse é um dos canais mais maravilhosos e abençoados que já conheci. Sinto-me renovada todas as vezes que vejo um novo vídeo. Muito obrigada a todos vocês.
I journal when I am overwhelmed. Helps a lot.
I LOVE the voice of the narrator❤
Thank you❤.
I do journaling but inconsistent.
I will try to be consistent ❤
I found an old typewriter on the side of the road and tinkered on it until I got it working again. In return, it serves me writing down my thoughts and feelings, just as they are. I ask myself questions, try to find out why I am how I am. Using a typewriter is faster than writing by hand, but still, I have to fully focus on what I'm doing. No autocorrection. I also use it to write letters to my children, which they are supposed to receive when they're adults.
The animation is so innocent love it
0:06 NOT THE AMUGUS!
I do gratitude journaling every single day and combine it with art journaling

the animation is literally so adorable omg 😭❤️ tysm, anilzeah for your work!
I usually write in my journal whatever is on my mind, it helps me clear my mind and thoughts, I really recommend it😊
I used to write the most random things in my diary.
Love the know art STYLE
Thank you so much :) would you like to see more of this animation?
Please make more animation like this
Yes please !!! @@Psych2go
I've been holding a journal for over ten years (I'm 25) and it's probably the only thing going right in my life rn 😅💚
Hi, One other type of journalling could be based on Gestalt Therapy. Journalling the imagined conversation of two or more people and writing the dialogue for all of them.. including oneself and whomever one wants.
"You matter" or "I matter" should be written in journals and said more often.
Just listening to your soothing voice alone lowers my anxiety ❤
Thank you for sharing this chat. I love to gratitude journal. It helps me give thank for the small, medium, big things in life. I enjoy journaling it helps to go back and see I am continuing to grow. I also like journaling about celebrations🎉
You are so welcome! That's wonderful to hear! How do you find gratitude journaling impacts your day-to-day mindset?
These cartoons are soo cute...❤ lovable like this video..😊 hats off to video editor 🌺💌
I am going to try all of them to change my own life. Thank you!
My diary contains my emotions including some pages on which I wrote some situations which are felt by most of us in our life . I just love writing it but I need to make it a bit more personal and focus on my emotions in place of the combined emotions of all.
I don't know why but this video leaves me with a smile 😊❤
2), 3), 4) and 5) were important for my healing process and still are important. I also do 6) because it's interesting. For me, 1) doesn't work well because either I'll end up in an anxious spiral, or I'll write things that are not important, which will make it harder to find where I've written important stuff.
