Mass media isn't a reliable source of information. This has been proven time and time again. They lie and exaggerate events to get views, because those views are their source of income. They are also the main outlet for spreading propaganda and other such things. So it's best to do our own research before freaking out about certain events. We're quite lucky that we have the Internet now, and are able to fact check the things we see... though, it should be a given that we also have to make sure that the info we are getting on the web are coming from reliable sources.

And remember, getting your flu shot isn't just about preventing the flu. Like Dr. Mike said, the influenza virus is prone to mutations, so while the vaccine doesn't cover every single type of influenza, it can still aid your body in decreasing the severity of your symptoms and helping your body recover more quickly! Most importantly, it prevents the spread of the flu to far more vulnerable populations, such as children and the elderly!

I'm also a doctor but I suffer from congenital immunodeficiency and I had to retire as soon as I got my degree because my career was killing me literally, nowadays I draw adult rated manga mostly. I really love it when other people in the medical field react to manga because I feel like it's sharing a slice of the world I live in now to people with a similar mindset.
Cells at work is magnificent; I'm not 100% sure if the person who wrote it is also a medical professional but there's some incredibly specific stuff, I remember a very clear reference to a clinical case featured in Raff's/Levitzky's Medical Physiology: A systems approach. It also has its fair share of mistakes, but I feel like most are due to the difficulty to portray the cells and tissues as characters or rooms, walls, buildings, etc for the analogies; The author really did their research. Thank you very much for your reaction! I was also waiting for it. And please stay safe!

I'm hoping Doctor Mike reacts to a few more episodes soon! The cancer episodes, the parasite episode and the last episode with the blood transfusions were personally my favorites in the series!

well.. to be frank... cells at work is accurate-ish enough i could see it being used to introduce students into the general functions of the immune system, with a professor obviously going into much more detail on what all exactly is happening... also cells at work is just a good anime.
