why does this scream my life
A tip for watercolors! If u wanna blend it empty ur brush, remove all the paint and just take a simple, wet brush and go between the lines of the two colours! Ofc do not over paint the same area as ur paper may start kinda crumbling! If u want a thick background add more paint and less water and for a watery,light background vice versa! Ik these are basic rules but I hope this helps to anyone wanting to try painting!

@@Marie-di5gl yes that's correct too but to avoid splotchy patches of color, I actually blend the colours with a wet brush before it even becomes moist and is still wet. I find that if I wait for it to become moist and then blend there are patches of color still seen and there isn't a smooth gradient. This is just my observation tho!

just a watercolour hack for y'all:
if you're taping your watercolour paper down, stick the tape onto your shirt first a few times before sticking it to the paper. this will prevent it from tearing when you remove the tape once you've finished💓✨
It was so nice to hear you talk about finding happiness in the making of something you like. I feel like that is something that i completely forgot in my life. Whenever i picked up my pencil and started drawing i would get frustrated, because i didn´t like the progress and don´t draw for the next few months and repeat this for years. I currently started drawing again and i try to go easy on me and it really helped to hear you talk about it

Nina has this therapeutic presence in my life. Like you get what I’m saying? Like she makes life seem like a Ghibli movie, appreciating small and big things, doing her own thing like the unbothered queen she is, and just living her life at slow and calm pace while making great progress. I find myself coming back to her because she reminds me that life doesn’t always has to be about studying, getting a degree, competition, getting a job and what not and I often find myself getting too indulged in these things but Nina reminds me that it’s okay to slow down and encourages me to grow that my own pace, because if you over water a seed it doesn’t grow because it gets too overwhelmed.
