Ugh sometimes during the summer, I end up being at home for longer than I'd like to admit lol. I also find that I study outside better than home so this was really fun to watch and a nice reminder that I should go outside lol
Liz He yeah same. I take online classes so I always give myself the excuse to stay home all day to study. When studying is more like 3hrs and the rest of the day is UA-cam.

Okay I have to express this. You are the only youtuber who validates how much I miss college!!! I graduated and moved in December. I miss school everyday. I work retail, till I figure things out. I miss school and libraries and all of the studyblr things. So thank you for validating me!!

in school here you have 6 weeks off in the summer. Back when I was in high school I didn’t leave the house for four weeks. The other two I had to go out, because my family and I were going on vacation haha

This was a great video!!! I never used to be a person who liked going outside but after doing it a couple times it’s much better. Especially for studying because I can just focus on that rather than being at home and getting distracted and procrastinating so it’s nice and it’s nice to see other people do it too hehe ♡

I'm a student but I don't have any classes atm (but still loads of assignments that I need to do), which means usually I just end up staying at home all day and not studying or being otherwise productive at all. But today I met up with a friend at a café and I actually managed to finish two assignments I've been procrastinating on for ever, I feel so accomplished!!

Walking into a public place alone for me is terrifying because of my introvertedness and social anxiety
it's easy for introvert students like me to just stay at home and only go out for lectures, but pushing myself to go outside in chill, non-crowded places has helped with my mental health so much! trying to keep the place we work from the place we relax into is so important✨

So this ended up being a lot longer that I was expecting, but I just wanted to share my experience haha
I went to a CC my first two years of college and all my classes online (which was like heaven for an introvert like me lol) because I normally do better when I learn & work at my own pace, but it also allowed me to become a homebody and kind of shut myself out from the rest of the world.
In the beginning of my second year I was going through some personal stuff which caused a lot of stress/anxiety overload and my grades were suffering, but all I wanted to do was just stay in bed and cry or listen to music. Eventually my GPA got like.. REAL bad and I realized how severe my academic situation was and how nothing would change unless I force myself to do something. So even though my personal life was still rough, I would force myself to go out to a coffee shop every morning from like 7 AM to like 12-1 PM and treat it as if I was actually in a class. Since I wasn't at home, I was able to focus way better, plus interacting with the baristas every day also gave me a chance to work on my horrible social skills. And sometimes, there were a lot of outgoing people that would start small talk with me too! At first it freaked me out bc lol idk how to interact normally with people, but after a while of it happening so often, my social skills were exponentially better, I was able to speak to strangers without freaking out over every little thing I say, and I even started to make the first move when making small talk with others.
The baristas all knew my name and my usual order, they'd even try to reserve "my spot" if I was a little late certain days (if they weren't too busy). Around this time, I also started taking daily walks at my park every few days. It was nice just walking around, getting fresh air, enjoying the sounds of nature, and just being outside of the house. Plus I was able to meet lots of cute dogs haha!
It was pretty great and I learned to enjoy just being out. More importantly, being comfortable with being in public places ALONE and not depending on my phone the entire time (to make it seem like I'm busy doing something if that makes sense?)
