This channel is the real deal, the "Consumer Reports" of UA-cam. This hand cleaner video I suggested to him about 6 months ago and he actually responded with "thanks for the suggestion". When was the last time you saw anyone with over 100K subs actually answer someone? I frequently buy products based on his testing and haven't been disappointed yet.
Yup this I actually like the fact he does do the testing thoroughly and I enjoy it so I can choose the item haha 😆…. I do it to sit down with husband to do research on items to buy before testing it

A little tip I learned from a buddy with a bike restoration business: Gojo Orange hand scrub can be used as a rust remover for chrome steel parts. You use it as a polish and aluminum foil sheets and balls as your "scrubber"...he could take a rusty old bike and have it looking brand new in a half hour.
Another great rust remover stainless cleaner is Kool-Aid POWDER and water. No sugar. Orange Kool-Aid is best. Its almost pure citric acid. I say Kool-Aid, but any "Artificially Flavored Orange Drink" Powder will do nicely. That's for all you Squidley's out there! LOL
A couple of ideas: 1. Best desiccant? Cat litter, silica, something else? I've seen some comparisons, but not a detailed one. 2. Best oil absorbent when working on boats and cars? Cloths, sand, oil absorbing mats 3. Most efficient coolant? (if you haven't already) Inc those water-free ones.
@@ProjectFarm a good test I would like to see on the topic of Oil absorbent cat litter/sand would be a simple pour and sweep. you spill some oil, pour the product on, wait for a set amount of time say 15-20min then sweep. to limit variables you could also pour the same amount of oil and same amount of oil absorbent. Another good test would be with a clear container put a set amount of oil and top it off with absorbent then let it sit 24 hours and measure how far up the oil was absorbed. Thank you for all your hard work we all appreciate it!
I have a container of Gojo natural orange in my garage. Comes in handy after performing routine maintenance on my vehicles and yard work. Gojo user since the 1980s.
Until you realize he is a shill. He loves everything that says that was produced in US (even if it was produced in China). He even design his tests in ways that "prefer" products with "Made in USA" stickers. Do. Not. Trust. The. Shill. This whole channel is no different from shopping channels back in the day. He often provides us with non-existent problem that is solved by a bunch of products out of which he advertises only few.
I very much appreciate the lack of unnecessary/filler content. Very compact and to the point. I know it must take a good deal of time to put these videos together. Thank you!
people probably dont realize the insane work that its done behind cameras. imagine having to come up with all those test and making them happen. thats why this youtube is one of the best on youtube. very educative and entertaining.
come up with the tests, refine the tests so the youtube community approves of them ( A HUGE CHALLENGE), then carry out the tests, some of which seem exhausting haha! TY so much Project Farm/Todd forreal. This channel is like having the father I wish I did lol
Your English is embarrassing. Don't comment if you can't use proper English and basic syntax. Have some respect for the language. Comment when you can actually contribute. Poor English helps no one.
The Gojo orange is what has been at every mfg facility I have worked at where this type of thing is stocked for everyone who works on the floor. Works decent, but WOW I did not expect such a difference in the options here. I assumed they were mostly the same formula & just different distributors & marketing! WOW WAS I WRONG! Once again, you provide a service to this fine community & I am so thankful I found your channel years ago rather than just now!!!
Interesting tip, Full Bore will take care of poison ivy. Before and after breaking out. I've gotten it dozens of times and it is the only thing that treats poison ivy in one day! Been a life saver!
@@GameAnGrogit's the oils from the poison ivy plant that cause the irritation. Most hand cleaners will help but that might have something extra in it to help
The trucking company I used to work for used ZEP Cherry (blast or punch I can’t remember) and it worked extremely well and smelled great. Great to see a great head to head comparison from the best test channel out there!
When I was a kid i had a little bottle of orange hand cleaner that went on as a paste and as you rubbed it it dried out, beaded up and fell off your hands leaving them dry and clean without a rag. I've been searching for that mystery hand cleaner for more than 15yrs since. I think recently I had an epiphany that the cleaner was probably ordinary gojo or fastorange, but from a bottle so old it had started drying out. I don't know for sure. I've tried a few experiments mixing gojo with pva glue because glue tends to bead up in the same way. That sort of worked similarly to how I remember but dried a little slowly for my liking. The search continues.
There were a few of them out there. I think you're referring to Gojo waterless hand cleaner. The only waterless product on the market that I'm aware of is Goop waterless hand cleaner.
Have you tried tub o scrub? I have not tried it without a rag, but as a waterless cleaner, I like it. And I think if you work it dry, it may do what you want
My father was a mechanic and truck driver, and he used Gojo Orange, so that's what I use. It's nice to see that it held up well against other hand cleaners.
As a retired diesel mechanic Ive used many hand cleaners over the years. I really like TKO and GoJo Fast Orange. Now I only use GoJo Fast Orange, If I need a little extra cleaning power I add Dawn dish soap to the GoJo in my hand...
Diesel mechanic here. Been using ZEP TKO for years. It’s better than anything else I’ve used by miles. Which makes sense… it’s the only one of the top 5 on this list that I’ve seen or tried! I’d say his test results are pretty real-world.
Something I haven’t noticed about project farm is the fact that he puts out a new video every week! He does that and responds to comments. He is the most impressive and best channel on UA-cam in my opinion
My personal favorite was the Zep Cherry bomb hand cleaner. Found it through the AF, able to strip every type of grime from me. It was so good, i bought my own for my home to shower with when i would get soaked in oil or grime.
In my many years working as an auto technician. I can tell you that Permatex gasket adhesive is almost impossible to remove from your hands. I have pretty much resigned myself to having to let it wear off my hands. and I have used all kinds of hand cleaners. but thanks to this video it gives me a few more options to try out.
I've used Gojo Orange at work and loved it so much, baught a pump bottle for my house. Every time I've used it, always did fantastic between motor oil, trans fluid, gear oil, grease, paint etc.
I’ve been using the Gojo Natural Orange for a while after trying several different hand cleaners over the past 25 years. I enjoy the value/result ratio. Glad to see you got similar results. Love the videos. Keep em coming!
I have sensitive skin - I'm allergic to a bunch of stuff in soaps and perfumes, it's embarrassing - and Gojo orange doesn't give me a rash and cleans amazingly well Edit - swapped comments, mixed my tabs up and put the top level comment as a reply and the reply as a top level.
CNC Mechanic here and my work used to buy Gojo orange. Its the worst cleaner I have ever used. I would bring in my own permatex blue lable or even gojo original both waterless but it gets in the finger prints way better than GOJO orange. Now they order what we call "NUT Scrub. Maybe Kutol brand?? Work10 times better than Gojo orange IMO
I know snap on is proud of their stuff but holy hell, $108! That's absolutely insane. I feel like zolex must've been the cleaner the gas station i worked at in the 90's as a kid had based on your smell description. Great test! Definitely has me wondering about using some of these for cleaning my work clothes.
4:32 Hold up, stop the cap... There's a reason we call that truck the R+ape van... Between their hidden interest rates and overpriced tools, I think it fits. Fapon fanboys be warned, carry lube with you when you get on the truck.😎
My personal favorite has always been regular old Borax powder. Just get your hands wet, add powder and scrub. It can be as abrasive as you want, depending on how much you use versus water used. It leaves your hands as soft as can be. A+ in my book! 👍👍👍
Borax is only rated IDLH, so this is a really good tip; thanks! *IDLH a.k.a immediately dangerous to Life and Health* 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 Sidenote; are you a boomer?
I'll second that. That's what they used back in school. It worked surprisingly well. Ironically, none of the stuff they used in the actual shops where I worked was as good. Todd, I'd appreciate Borax powder being included in the next round of tests, if you have one. Thanks!
I'm always excited to watch your videos that deal with products I own and use daily. I'm a flatbed trucker, and I get all sorts of horrible things on my skin at work. I've always used Gojo Orange, and after seeing it perform as well as it did, I'm glad I do, and will continue to do so. Thank you for taking the guess work out of considering changing brands. :D
I was once responsible for procuring supplies for an Air Force maintenance shop. GoJo was my go-to hand cleaner, and I would give other people a hard time who preferred Zep’s “Cherry Bomb”. My strong preference was mostly a joke, but I am excited to see the actual results!
I definitely preferred Cherry Bomb to GoJo in the Air Force. Orange cleaners took over in the mid 1990s. Got to the point we couldn't get MEK or Triche anymore for the shop. Bottle of orange oil and cleaned up with alcohol. 🤠
I use Boraxo hand cleaner. Its a white powder , that must be used on wet hands. Mainly because it works with water. One thing you completely over looked is that some of the hand cleaners don't work well on cold hands, or wet hands. Not sure how you would test for that, but often my hands are cold and wet, and the grease does not come off with most of those you tested. Thumbs up for your hard work!!
He probably would have to use pork skin to do that. I know tatoo artists and surgeons used the stuff to train with. So it should stand to reason that you could use it to simulate real human skin for these tests. Should be able to get a some of stuff from a local butchers.
@ I am very impressed with the thoroughness and objectivity of your reviews. I expect you have some science background, because what you select, has been accurate every time. Thanks for the great work. Already saved me hundreds of dollars.
Fast orange has always been my personal favorite for the same reasons you said. It’s gritty but not to much isnt oily and water isn’t necessary and always does a good job. Much appreciated for your work
I second the fastorange it works great - the only one that will remove tree sap. We get lots of snow where I live, a dose of fast orange rubbed in well, then washing hands off in the snow takes off every bit of grease
I used to work in a garage back in high school and college. Always kept a bar of Lava soap on the bathroom sink and in the shower as my hands were always a bit stained/dirty
Recommendation on a future video to test "faraday bags." By the way before I ever purchase anything I go to your channel first to see what I should buy. You sir are the shiznit. Thank you so much for what you do.
I wrench General Aviation, have for many years. Palmolive and borax, mixed in the hands, add water, agitate briskly. Nail brush if leaving the hangar. Rinse (water is necessary) . To remove 5606 Hyd oil (very simular to ATF) I will cheat and use a chem (gojo) hand cleaner to start. I've tried a lot of variations and this works. Cheap as well, It don't take much.
A haaaaaaa. HAND CLEANER!!!!! Nice one. There's a little-known but life-changing bit of advice someone once gave me on day 1 as a 16-year-old trainee car mechanic, and that was how best to clean your hands at the end of every day in as careful a way as you can by inflicting as little damage as possible to your skin on a daily basis. He was an old boy, much older than usual retirement age, but was still working due to his own situations in life. He was a caring person, not like most other mechanics at the time. He said to me, always pull most of the dirt away from your hands onto a cloth first, and hence reducing or even completely avoiding harsher treatment like rubbing hands together and lathering and scrubbing with a brush, etc. That way, you can remove the majority of contaminants from your hands using much more skin-friendly hand soaps before even considering using any harsh chemicals at all. At 55, I still remember that fella, and still use a towelling flannel to this day, avoiding the use of hand cleaners. The cloth is then very easily cleaned using the same, sensitive soap as for your hands. Still enjoying working on my own bikes and cars now, probably one of the best pieces of advice I've ever had in my life. 🙂
Good experience. i don't use pumice cleaners for that reason, much to hard on the skin. So I've used Goop or Go Jo for a long time. Both of them want you to wipe dry, not use water, to retain the skin conditioners on the skin. A nail brush is mandatory, and mostly today I wash my hands in the sink rather than just wipe. Not all nail brushes are equal, so I've tried many different ones and found a shorter bristle length is better. A new brush design is out with a single row of bristles up against the plastic top so you can get deeper into the nail, it's helpful in getting the nails clean. Since I'm not a mechanic by trade, but do a lot of dirty car work as my hobby, I like to have super clean hands and nails, and so does my SO. 🙂. This was a good review, I may try the Zolex Cherry since it's top rated.
Gojo orange has always been my favourite ever since my dad stocked it. I love that orange citrus scent and it really felt like it did a way better job than any other hand cleaner I used. Glad it wasn't just confirmation bias!
I used gojo for years and then I switched to fast orange for a very long time. After that I heard about tuba towels. I've used it for I think about 5 years now and I have never looked back. I keep them in all my rides that I do work with The fact that you can just wipe your hands off, leaving nothing behind and jump right back in your ride. Not worrying about transfer of whatever you had on your hands to your vehicle is so convenient. They also stay in my shop permanently and under my sinks in my home. I think they actually work better than the tub of scrub. I don't know why but they do. Just a suggestion! Give em a try! 🤘
Thank you for all the work you put in to your videos. I quit using hand cleaners many years ago and I just use the cheap brands of dishwashing detergent and a finger nail brush. I was the transmission guy for one of the USA big three auto makers, repairing transmissions and lots of other greasy parts for 51 years and the dishwashing detergent has been the easiest on my skin.
The white Permatex and original Gojo reminds me of my favorite, GOOP! Always used GOOP in the past with boraxo as the grit, never had any mess that it couldn't take care of. Use a spoon to dispense if you have dirty hands or it would turn to pure liquid and be hard to manage (but would still clean like nobody's business).
I like how you bought like 200 power tools and batteries over the years but wouldn't buy the zep hand pump. You are my favorite YT channel thanks for doing what you do!
I’m a diesel mechanic and I have very damaged hands so grease sticks to them extra bad. I like the most aggressive hand cleaners that do the best job at getting in the cracks of my skin and removing the black grease. here are my three favorite hand cleaners: 1: Boraxo Powdered hand cleaner. 2: Gojo Supro Max. 3: Cherry Bomb. Gojo supro max is my most used cleaner because it’s already a liquid vs the boraxo which is a powder that must be mixed with water.
As aways great video! I like how you showed us you tried it with your hands and it explained why you decided to use the dodgeball material. As a father of 3 young boys have you looked into testing kid stuff like diapers/whips, sippys cups, strollers, kid shoes.... lots of things that could be tested that could benefit young families in these crappy economic times! Thanks for what you do!
One of the most impressive aspects about this channel is the testing methodology and the variety of jigs, apparatuses that he dreams up and turns into reality. I enjoy seeing what he dreams up to perform the test as much as the product testing itself. As Todd would say, "Very Impressive!!"
When I was a kid in the 60s and worked in a gas station, we used Kerosene mixed with a little tide detergent, then Had Boraxo hand soap. The Boraxo bar was green with gritty borax in it. Then in the late 70s and 80s we started using a Gojo product that had an orange smell to it. I now keep a product called Tub of Towels in my garage. You can pull one towel out and it cleans every type of dirt, grease, tar, glue that I have gotten on my hands and you don't need to wash with soap and water afterwards. Thanks for the comparison though. very thorough.
I delivered (bulk tanker) to a hand cleaner manufacturer, I noticed the lanolin drop location had not been used in a while. I asked the worker about it and he said lanolin is expensive so they only put enough to say that it has it .
Thanks bro. Back in the day I used to get Goop. It was an amazing product and cheap. One of the hardest things to get off my hands was Zinnser Cover Stain oil based primer. Goop worked well. Paint thinner works, but it soaks in to your pores and causes liver damage. I use Dawn straight for grease and it works well. Now that I can't find Goop, I get the Gojo.
Thanks for this review! I emailed you a few years ago asking you to do this one and you were super polite and thought it would be a challenge to find objective ways to test it. It was a pleasure to chat with you over email and I'm still a loyal follower of your channel! I check with you before I buy pretty much anything at all. :)
For my business one of the key takeaways is ease of use. Many of these soap companies want you to use their own proprietary, usually wall mounted dispensers. For some shop owners like mysef, this is a negative deterrent to purchasing. I don’t want some crap mounted on my wall only for them to change the dispenser, discontinue the product or find a better replacement, etc. Great video and my shop currently has the Permatex Extreme in use at the moment 😆 I purchased it about 6-8months ago purely based off of (1) it was the cheapest deal at the time and (2) we had never tried that scent before. It smells good and seems to work just as good as all the previous hand soaps. While overall none of us have experienced any ground breaking results just cleaning our hands over our regular (GoJo orange or cherry) it definitely has more “bang for the buck” when looking at container size (price per ounce) and ease of use (just sits in the deep sink).
Your reviews are still the very best because of the objective determinations. When tests are plain and rarely if ever skewed, nobody can argue about the remaining facts and logic. Thank you, for your awesome reviews! All my best to you! Cheers!
Most of these brands I've never heard of. Gojo and Gojo Orange are the ones I've used in the past. There was also some powdered hand cleaner I used in shop class. Boraxo or something like that I used for a while as well (light blue colored cylindrical container filled with powder). I'll admit that most times I just throw on a pair of latex gloves - it allows me to get some work done and I can go to my office job Monday morning! Awesome comparison!!! Keep up the good work!
When I was an aircraft mechanic we had the Gojo Orange. It works pretty good for oil and jet fuel. At home I have always used Lava soap... mostly from nostalgia because my grandfather used to always have it around the house. It works pretty good too though.
It has been a little over 5 years I believe since we have had a good epoxy comparison. I scrolled for a newer one but no luck. Have a awesome day man your videos are the best and never biased
I have tried all the hand cleaners after working on cars and after I could not get the grease off one time I tried laundry detergent. The arm and hammer brand works wonders on getting grease off. I use it everytime now for getting the grime off.
Hi, I watch and like your videos and I have a comment about hand cleaners. I’m a musician and like most musicians we tend to learn to do a lot of things ourselves, especially car repairs. Believe it or not the best hand degreaser is cooking oil. I would just pour some cooking oil on my hands and scrub as usual and then wipe off with paper towels. When my hands seemed clean I then would wash with soap and water. This is past tense because I now always use gloves. Thanks and keep up the good work.
I started using Permatex DL as a kid in the 60s and after decades of greasy grimy work, I still buy and even special order the DL. I’ve tried the “grit” stuff which works okay but leaves its grit behind. The DL creams, dissolves while rubbing and wipes away clean and smooth. No washing required. It also works well as a spot treatment for clothing. I’ll have to try the “Extreme” version.
What a great video The best thing I have found for getting grease off is The Foaming Soap at bed bath and beyond for some reason it does 100 times better then even the Fast orange Xtreme small tiny pump of foam and it will clean your hands arms and face and Still get 100 percent off without needing to watch again @Project Farm
I love this stuff, now that I'm older and can appreciate good products for all sorts of stuff, content like this is truly awesome. Thank you for reviewing these!!
I do diesel truck repair now. The best is the snap on walnut. Barely need a quarter size for most clean up, maybe a little extra for the arms with a nail brush. The original grip clean "dirt" formula is a decent cheaper alternative. The snap on is like $34 for the quart I think and it lasts and smells ok. Cintas also has a walnut scrub but in super small containers from their Sanis line. That stuff was very similar and worked very well. The pumice in some of the soaps is good for weekend warrior stuff
I was in the Marine Corps as a Bulk Fueler and went to POL School at Ft. Lee Virginia. It was an Army base so you know it had good funding. But I remember they had state of the art testing equipment in their lab to perform every test you could possibly think of regarding Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants. Very specific and detail oriented testing. At that time in 1994 the worst oil was Quakerstate followed by Penzoil and of course Amsoil taking the win. Pretty much doing all the kinds of tests that you do. Love the channel.👍
3,000,000 well done, been here since the days of the dodgy lawn mowers in the garage. Will it run on….snail juice, unicorn tears, hopes and dreams. Still the best content on UA-cam.
I've found pine-sol as the best shop cleaner, on treated concrete. I've used dishsoap, laundry detergent, purple power. Would mind that as a future test. I say it's the best because price, ability to desolve dirt, grease, oil, coolant, brake fluid rather well spread out.
Just bought the Permatex Fast Orange Xtreme when I was ordering some parts from Summit Racing, it was only $20 there or $18 for the orange scented I bought. Really works great on your typical grease monkey stuff and around the yard. I love that if I'm not near water it just wipes off with a rag without leaving a bunch of residue. My new favorite hand cleaner.
I make my own with coffee grounds and Dawn or Palmolive concentrated dish detergent. Just save your old coffee grounds then squeeze in some detergent to make a slushy then put in an old dish detergent bottle and squeeze it out on your hands and scrub. Works great. Fine ground may be better.
I don't have access to all these up here in the Great White North, but I have used the Gojo Orange for years, both as a laundry stain pre-treatment for greasy stains and as a hand cleaner and I have never been disappointed. Thanks for the great video Todd. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for these brands on my cross-border shopping trips. Cheers!
hey there! i hope you still remember me! i am really impressed how far your channel has grown! from 100k to 3 million subscribers! your effort has not gone in vain! i have been very busy since i moved into a IT university and didnt have enough time to talk to anyone including you! but i almost forgot you because of the stress i had , but now that i found you again , i wanted to congratulate you on your 1 mil , 2 mil and 3 mil mark! 😅 , well.. you still have so many ideas! thanks for helping so many american and international people for the list of tools though i couldnt effort any , only some of them which only lasts for a day or so hahaha
Hi, How are you doing today? I am doing pretty good myself. I just would like to say thank-you for geting to another one of my video ideas. I love all the great work and the great information that you have provided us. I would like to see you try testing: air compressor hoses to find out which manufacturers are the best. I hope that you and your family take care until next time.
please do one of these tests on hand wipes.. my favorite is (Orange Goop Multi-Purpose Ruff Orange Towels) i do mechanic work on the side all the time and these are a must in my garage to do clean up.
Another great test! For greasy hands, I like using cooking oil (with a brush or a little grit for stubborn grease) followed by dish detergent. It doesn't dry out your hands like some of the citrus cleaners and its dirt cheap.
Just my personal favorite, it’s a bit harder to find, but it’s called Zep Shell Shock. Works extremely well on grease. It’s a very gritty cleaner which is my preference. For what I work with it’s slightly better then cherry bomb which is what I use to use for a long time. Either way great roundup! Good to see there are several great products out there that have their strengths.
You have to admit how difficult this type of comparison is to complete and how well he does. More importantly, how he admits when his attempts do not work like he intended and when subjectivity plays a role. This is how you build trust with an audience.
I used to be a parts delivery driver for Toyota. As a result, i've used many different hand cleaners as each shop had a different one. the Zep TKO was by far my favorite.
Zep Cherry Bomb is the best hand cleaner I’ve ever used. I would recommend it to everyone. Put it on dry hands/arms and add a very small amount of water. Scrub some more, rinse. Works GREAT! I will say, it doesn’t perform as good if you’re in a place where water isn’t readily available (i.e. field service) It leaves a lot of the grit on your hands if you just wipe it off. I have some in my service truck and I have a jug of water to rinse off with as well as Tub O’ Towels. I take the Cherry Bomb out of my service truck in the winter time.
We used gojo orange and Boraxo at work to remove the printing ink after press maintenance. It was the best and using a scrubbing brush also helped. only had a week long trial of the zolex cherry and it made the entire locker room smell like cough syrup.
I guess I might be one of the few who absolutely despised using gojo fast orange. Not to say it’s a bad cleaner, but mostly because the moisturizer msgs your hands feel oily after rinsing. Though I’m a huge fan of the TKO. As Always thanks for taking out the time to put this video together!
My favorite is any kind of dish washing liquid and a teaspoon of sugar. Been doing it for nearly 50 years. Tried some commercial stuff, which is not always as good, but rarely better. And sugar/detergent is cheap and always available.
We have had problems with pumice clogging the drain in our handwash stations at times. I prefer the Permatex type hand cleaner the majority of times myself.
I’ve been using Permatex DL hand cleaner since the 80s when Consumer Advocate ,Herb Denenberg chose it as the best. I think Herb tested it for cleaning hands instead of towels. It has been doing a good job at cleaning my greasy hands for decades. The other thing I like about DL hand cleaner is that the Allow and Lanolin that keep my hands from cracking. Some of the other soaps would lead to dry cracked hands when used on a daily basis.
Recently started working on kitchen fire suppression systems, grease, roof tar, firecaulk, you name it, it stays on my hands for days, as always, this video is an amazing help for my shopping for a cleaner. Thanks!!

What happened to the Dawn soap? Not on the final list??
Wash hands, apply, baby oil to wet hands and rub it in. See what happens.
I work in the maritime construction industry, dredging etc. The best hand cleaner is WD-40, no contest.
Goop hand cleaner is the best
Donut just released one! Could you do a test on it?
This channel is the real deal, the "Consumer Reports" of UA-cam. This hand cleaner video I suggested to him about 6 months ago and he actually responded with "thanks for the suggestion". When was the last time you saw anyone with over 100K subs actually answer someone? I frequently buy products based on his testing and haven't been disappointed yet.
Good to know he actually cares about his viewers unlike others.
Yup this I actually like the fact he does do the testing thoroughly and I enjoy it so I can choose the item haha 😆…. I do it to sit down with husband to do research on items to buy before testing it
The charts and tables he puts at the end of videos, that was my suggestion :)
His reviews are far more reliable than the “paid sponsors” you typically see reviewing products
@Forbidd like you I must have bought 10 review winners
I like the fact that he doesn't ask for likes and subs. Doesn't push merch down your throat or ask you to go look at some food sponsor.
At three million views ,he is doing well
His content is so good that he doesn't have to.
He has waaaay more views than that.@@cm-ek4ci
Sounds like you're talking about Sleeper Dude

A little tip I learned from a buddy with a bike restoration business: Gojo Orange hand scrub can be used as a rust remover for chrome steel parts. You use it as a polish and aluminum foil sheets and balls as your "scrubber"...he could take a rusty old bike and have it looking brand new in a half hour.
Thank you for the tip!
LOL
@@mikemcchesney2555 you can buy pure citric acid too, a big enough grocery store may have it... But it's easy to find online.
0000 steel wool works premium on chrome and glass. No need for gojo or kool-aid
Thanks for the tip. I will be using for several things.
A couple of ideas:
1. Best desiccant? Cat litter, silica, something else? I've seen some comparisons, but not a detailed one.
2. Best oil absorbent when working on boats and cars? Cloths, sand, oil absorbing mats
3. Most efficient coolant? (if you haven't already) Inc those water-free ones.
I like that second one, would be nice to see what soaks up oil the best off of concrete /asphalt
Thanks for the suggestions.
Most efficient coolant would be great
What about shop towels? Has he done a video about them?
One of my favorite things about this channel is seeing the Snap-On myth busted time and time again. Thanks for saving everyone time and money.
You're welcome!
Always love to see some elitist tears
Snap on does have good tools. The only people I hear complaining about snap on are the people who got repoed.
snap-off doesn't make the soap just sells it. mac has the best hand cleaner going
@@mikethetoolman8776 Mac is pretty good. Ill have to snag some of that soap when the truck comes by next time. Also why call them snap off?
I've been using Gojo for 44 years. I'm glad to know that it still ranks up there.
Gojo is all I've used for pumice hand cleaners. For me I was introduced to Gojo 30 years ago working in a professional wood shop back then.
too right
My best hand cleaner is called, "gloves" :)
Same for 1 decade! its always been gojo or stoko anywhere i have worked. Mostlt the gojo orange tho.
I have a container of Gojo natural orange in my garage. Comes in handy after performing routine maintenance on my vehicles and yard work. Gojo user since the 1980s.
Never buying anything before checking out this Chanel, simply the best!

people probably dont realize the insane work that its done behind cameras. imagine having to come up with all those test and making them happen. thats why this youtube is one of the best on youtube. very educative and entertaining.
Also, think how long it takes just to make all the labels for the brands. The dedication to our wallets is much appreciated
come up with the tests, refine the tests so the youtube community approves of them ( A HUGE CHALLENGE), then carry out the tests, some of which seem exhausting haha! TY so much Project Farm/Todd forreal. This channel is like having the father I wish I did lol
Well…he does do a pretty good job but let’s not get carried!

The trucking company I used to work for used ZEP Cherry (blast or punch I can’t remember) and it worked extremely well and smelled great. Great to see a great head to head comparison from the best test channel out there!
Thanks!
Zep Cherry Bomb! Works great, never felt the need to search further. I might be brainwashed by that delightful cherry smell though.
@ it does smell really good
When I was a kid i had a little bottle of orange hand cleaner that went on as a paste and as you rubbed it it dried out, beaded up and fell off your hands leaving them dry and clean without a rag.
I remember that but don't remember what it was.
Almost all the cleaners say "waterless", but what that means is that they wipe off with a rag, not that the cleaner itself dries and falls off.
Super Clean waterless toweless hand cleaner made by Castrol. I think this is the stuff you're thinking about.
My father was a mechanic and truck driver, and he used Gojo Orange, so that's what I use. It's nice to see that it held up well against other hand cleaners.
Thank you for sharing!
Gojo wipes in a bucket are AMAZING
As a retired diesel mechanic Ive used many hand cleaners over the years. I really like TKO and GoJo Fast Orange. Now I only use GoJo Fast Orange, If I need a little extra cleaning power I add Dawn dish soap to the GoJo in my hand...
Diesel mechanic here. Been using ZEP TKO for years. It’s better than anything else I’ve used by miles. Which makes sense… it’s the only one of the top 5 on this list that I’ve seen or tried!
I’d say his test results are pretty real-world.
Thanks for the feedback.
Same here, my shop buys gojo orange, but when that doesn’t do it, dawn dish soap and a spoon of sugar usually do the trick
Mechanic/ fabricator and i really like the Zep cherry bomb.
Fast Orange is made by Permatex and is different from GoJo.

Ditto lmao I have some in my shower as well. It also just smells super good if you like cherries.
Same here, Cherry Bomb is remarkable, I wonder if its as good as the Zolex
Dries my hands out real bad. But yes it works

I’ve been using the Gojo Natural Orange for a while after trying several different hand cleaners over the past 25 years. I enjoy the value/result ratio. Glad to see you got similar results. Love the videos. Keep em coming!
I have sensitive skin - I'm allergic to a bunch of stuff in soaps and perfumes, it's embarrassing - and Gojo orange doesn't give me a rash and cleans amazingly well

My personal favorite has always been regular old Borax powder. Just get your hands wet, add powder and scrub. It can be as abrasive as you want, depending on how much you use versus water used. It leaves your hands as soft as can be. A+ in my book! 👍👍👍
Thanks for the feedback.
Where can you find the Borax Powder? I haven't seen it in the store for years now!!

I was once responsible for procuring supplies for an Air Force maintenance shop. GoJo was my go-to hand cleaner, and I would give other people a hard time who preferred Zep’s “Cherry Bomb”. My strong preference was mostly a joke, but I am excited to see the actual results!
Thank you for sharing!
Cherry bomb is garbage. Literally doesnt work.
It's too bad Cherry Bomb wasn't in the test.
I definitely preferred Cherry Bomb to GoJo in the Air Force. Orange cleaners took over in the mid 1990s. Got to the point we couldn't get MEK or Triche anymore for the shop. Bottle of orange oil and cleaned up with alcohol. 🤠
Yeah. Cherry bomb fan here.@@funkingitup1805
Thanks for adding the Dawn dish soap as a control!
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
He probably would have to use pork skin to do that. I know tatoo artists and surgeons used the stuff to train with. So it should stand to reason that you could use it to simulate real human skin for these tests. Should be able to get a some of stuff from a local butchers.

Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
One I used for years is Goop. Doesn't smell great, but works a treat, especially on oily laundry.
Thanks for the feedback.
Gojo orange has always been my favourite ever since my dad stocked it. I love that orange citrus scent and it really felt like it did a way better job than any other hand cleaner I used. Glad it wasn't just confirmation bias!
I just want you to know that your unbiased reviews save me so much time and money. I sincerely appreciate you. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
All valuable information and no 'fluff' makes this channel the clear winner in any comparison.
Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback.
I like how you bought like 200 power tools and batteries over the years but wouldn't buy the zep hand pump.
You are my favorite YT channel thanks for doing what you do!
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
One of the most impressive aspects about this channel is the testing methodology and the variety of jigs, apparatuses that he dreams up and turns into reality. I enjoy seeing what he dreams up to perform the test as much as the product testing itself. As Todd would say, "Very Impressive!!"
Thanks so much!
Project Farm, you are not allowed to stop doing reviews on UA-cam, ever. Thank you for all of your efforts.

Thanks for sharing.
Your reviews are still the very best because of the objective determinations. When tests are plain and rarely if ever skewed, nobody can argue about the remaining facts and logic.

Most of these brands I've never heard of. Gojo and Gojo Orange are the ones I've used in the past. There was also some powdered hand cleaner I used in shop class. Boraxo or something like that I used for a while as well (light blue colored cylindrical container filled with powder).

Thanks for sharing! Thanks, will do!

I've found pine-sol as the best shop cleaner, on treated concrete. I've used dishsoap, laundry detergent, purple power. Would mind that as a future test. I say it's the best because price, ability to desolve dirt, grease, oil, coolant, brake fluid rather well spread out.
Thanks for the the feedback.
Awesome video! Thank you so much for pulling this together! Love that you are user driven on your videos and brands. You are awesome!
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback.

I would like to see you try testing: air compressor hoses to find out which manufacturers are the best.
I hope that you and your family take care until next time.
Thanks so much! Thanks for the video idea.
@@ProjectFarm Your welcome!
please do one of these tests on hand wipes.. my favorite is (Orange Goop Multi-Purpose Ruff Orange Towels) i do mechanic work on the side all the time and these are a must in my garage to do clean up.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Another great test! For greasy hands, I like using cooking oil (with a brush or a little grit for stubborn grease) followed by dish detergent. It doesn't dry out your hands like some of the citrus cleaners and its dirt cheap.
Thanks for the feedback.k
Gojo natural orange has been my go-to forever and I was rooting for it the whole time!!
Thanks for sharing.

I was a truck driver for 35 years and the zolex cherry was my favorite by far.
Thanks for the feedback.
You have to admit how difficult this type of comparison is to complete and how well he does. More importantly, how he admits when his attempts do not work like he intended and when subjectivity plays a role. This is how you build trust with an audience.
Thanks!
I used to be a parts delivery driver for Toyota. As a result, i've used many different hand cleaners as each shop had a different one. the Zep TKO was by far my favorite.
Thanks for the feedback.
Protect this man at all costs!!
Thanks!

You are welcome! Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for sharing.
Fast orange (permatex extreme) was what my dad used and is the one i have stuck with. Glad it did well in these tests.

Thanks for the feedback.
Recently started working on kitchen fire suppression systems, grease, roof tar, firecaulk, you name it, it stays on my hands for days, as always, this video is an amazing help for my shopping for a cleaner. Thanks!!

I don't think we thank you enough for "literally" doing all these dirty job for us.
Thank you.
