Could a coolant passage in the head be drilled / tapped for a temp guage ? - block fot oil pressure ?

do i need to do a coolant flush after replacing this part? some error codes came up after i replaced the coolant pump and now im at a grease monkey getting the coolant topped off repeatedly. the error codes showing up are P261B and P0117

There are no symptoms that’s the bad thing about them. They just all the sudden drop out with no warning
